first car when i started when i came here and like they always say that the only thing that is constant is change and if you work hard you're gonna grow so i grew from driving this my second-hand use car to purchasing a brand new car here and leave it modest a modest life and these are just a few pictures that shows me in my backyard at home and on a few trips where i have yeah i've been to but webinar for this webinar is for people that are pursuing post-graduate studies so this means that you are going to do your master's with graduate diploma post graduate certificate or pgd and the minimum requirement that for you to proceed and continue watching this training is that you have an omd hmd or a bachelor's degree and anyone interested in studying abroad regardless of your country your cost of study financial situation and family situation or if you are helping any of the people listed in these categories so if you know that you don't fall in any of these categories there's no need for you to proceed proceed with the work with this training because i don't want to waste your time okay and before we proceed i would like to open our eyes to something that a lot of us may perhaps not have seen before so i want us to know that you can secure admissions and scholarships regardless of your age your marital status your family size your study gap the cost you studied for your undergraduate whether it was a stem course or not a stem course so this means that whether you did a science course or you did arts or social science there's opportunities for everybody your grades high low average grades and even if you have no work experience and also you have to do it yourself because nobody can secure funding or scholarships for you so you the applicant you need to apply and submit yourself to the process and most importantly i'd like us to know that the study abroad route is the fastest easiest and most reliable way to relocate abroad and secure permanent residency and citizenship just look at me i relocated and i've secured my permanent residency and i've submitted my citizenship application so my goal for this web class is to let us know at the end of this training what you would have learned from this web class is that the quickest and the most guaranteed way to relocate abroad is through the study pathway and that the only way to secure admission and scholarship is by application packaging using the scholarship and admission success strategy we call that the sas strategy as you would hear me say that as we go on and you are good enough to secure admission and scholarship by doing it yourself yes you that is listening to me you got this you are good enough and now i don't just talk because i want to talk i practice what i preach so i told us before that i came to canada as an international student in 2017 and i've been i was able to seek your full scholarship to school in canada for my master's degree and as after that full scholarship i've been able to secure other scholarships and so forth i have secured over 350 000 yes you heard that right 350 000 in scholarships and awards so this is a picture this picture here on the on the left is a picture of me receiving one of my awards and so far i've been a university of waterloo scholar an ontario ontario scholar a canada scholar that's an international scholarship where i won the most prestigious and sex scholarship this is for canadian canadian government and it's for it's like is the is more like a country-wide scholarship provided by the federal government so it's a federal scholarship i got the president graduate award at university of waterloo i got multiple other scholarships here even more hours these are even more awards as i have gotten so i'm not talking from something that i've read i'm talking to you from a place of experience because this is something that i have done myself let's proceed to talk about my story so this is my story um i came to canada in 2017. it's my little boy here as you can see and so far just like you um i had thoughts of studying abroad like feeling uncertain so let's talk about my story so i'm going to be sharing with you my story just like many of you i wanted to read the kids abroad when i finished my bachelor's degree in 2010 yes i also had a study guide when i finished my bachelor's degree in 2010 just like many of us i had the hopes of going abroad to study and to do a master's degree and live a good life so when i started these thoughts these were the first thoughts that i had when i was thinking about like the feeling of uncertainty after graduation so what do i do when i graduate should i be able to live in this country permanently do i have to come back would i be a good job i've heard many stories that people that go abroad do not get um good jobs and also i was faced with unemployment in my country i wasn't sure that um after graduation i was gonna get a job so my exit throughout or my plan was that i was just going to focus and relocate abroad by going via the study routes and also i desired a better future for myself and my family then my own born children but i was already thinking of them and thinking about their future at this time so while i was thinking about all of this i got an irresistible offer where i got a job with a multinational oil service company because then and that was where i packed my study abroad dream so i decided that you know i'm not going to study abroad but i'm just going to take this job because pay was juicy the job was fantastic it promised there were a lot of promises of um going abroad to do trainings and all that so i just felt like you know what i've alright so i study abroad dream and looking at it in the future i think that this was a huge mistake that i made but let's go on so i started a very successful career i called this career successful because of all the things that i achieved actually three promotions in three years i worked in various locations globally so we had in both in nigeria i was working in different locations in nigeria as an all service field engineer and also i was able to go abroad for training this this is me in dubai i went to dubai several times to go abroad for training and it was a very wonderful experience living outside the country for months at a time and also i spent some time working in the field as well so to me i thought that i was living the life of my dreams and really the life was okay i was happy about my life i could afford the baby baby girl life and the things that i wanted for myself i wasn't living on extra because like i was doing i was doing okay i was comfortable and i got used to being comfortable living this kind of life and not long after i received the first shock of my life in 2016 the oil industry crashed and when the oil industry crashed i still remember that day clearly when i received a call from hr and they handed me siberians letter before i drove out of the office to get to my house they had disconnected my phone my um computer like they had disconnected everything it was like shocked to me it seemed like i was thrown back into my past four years and now i was back to unemployment that i was scared of at the beginning and job hunting at this time my skills were quite narrow because i'd only worked in the oil industry working in the field in oil wells and all the other oil companies were dropping their staff so i couldn't get another job so what did i do i had to fall back on my diy skills to survive at this time i started doing whatever business i found just to get along but then it was a depressing moment of my life knowing that i wouldn't get salary and salary anymore and i was living in lucky axis the rent was expensive taking care of my son i looked at our future and i'm like this is not the kind of life that i want to leave because i did not see any job first comment so this made me to start thinking deeply and i had some very deep talks like i needed to escape these unemployment and constant boarding of job quantity wasn't producing any results like nothing was coming for like i said the oil industry was firing workers so there was nowhere for me to get a job at that time and i was so scared of wasting my youthful years i was 26 years old at this time settling for something below my true potential and at this time i already had a young family and i needed to secure a life for my family my son and my future kids to come that was when i thought about it i'm like okay you know perhaps it's time for you to go back to school so i dusted all my documents dusted my transcript dusted all my documents and like many of us what did i do first i looked for an agent to help me because for many of us the first thing that comes to our mind we want to study abroad is that you need an agent so quickly i reach one agent to help me i contacted the agents some some agents there are some good agents and there are some bad agents i was unfortunate to fall into the hands of a bad agent who sold my own money and i never heard from him took my money i didn't hear from him that was sad i decided i was not going to let this agent steal my relocation dream so i decided to look for another agent this time i fell in the hands of a good agent i would say a good agent because he was responding to me he didn't run away and this agent couldn't even help me secure admission in the university of my choice don't talk about fondue so i received the second shot of my life when i started getting rejection after rejection that was when i decided okay you know what i was going to do this application myself because time was also running out the more time i wasted the more time was being spent the more i was unemployed the longer i was at home being unemployed so i decided i was going to do this myself and i did some applications after i bought i kept getting injected that's when i realized that a two one like a second class opera wasn't an automatic ticket because for many of us you think that yes i have a good grade so it's automatically i'll just get admission and scholarship i received the second shot of my life when i realized that even though i had a 21 it didn't mean immediate it didn't mean that i was going to get admissions and scholarships so i learned the hard way that good grades are not enough good grades in goal and not enough to secure admissions and scholarships i was so devastated that um i didn't know what to do next i was at the brink of giving up when i had a big revelation where i attended one of those sales free sales training course and the trainer said something that stuck with me and changed the way i began to see things she said every product has its weaknesses but not every customer sees the weakness the difference between a successful product and a not so successful product is based on how you make the customer see the product so presentation that was my moment for me so i know you may be thinking is this another sales course no this is not another sales course but now let me show you how you can look at it you as an applicant you have a product to sell your academic qualifications and your unique experiences so this was the light bulb moment for me so i began to think i got into deep talks that can i critically highlight my academic achievements is there a way i could reframe my work experience that's when i realized that i had to change my approach to securing admissions and scholarships so this means that i have to see myself as the product and the university graduate admissions committee who's going to review my application as the customer so i'm selling my my product which is my academic achievements to them that was when i realized that there was a way i needed to package my addition my admission and scholarship application in order to succeed i call this application packaging this was the absolute revelation that changed my life it was just like i saw lights at the end of the tunnel and all of a sudden i knew what to do seemed like a huge revelation fell on me after my struggles so this journey started i changed my application set strategy i rewrote all my application documents i rewrote my scholarship essay in such a way that he told my unique story that was unique to me and was difficult for the reader so the admissions and scholarship committee to forget about me and then i applied to a new set of schools and guess what it ended in praise all i needed was one yes my approach paid off my university of waterloo came knocking with admission and full funding in the back that was it that was the end of my struggles at the end of my story so i started spreading the joy i was so excited i shared good with my family and friends and everyone who kept listening you know how you feel when you finally succeed at something so questions started coming even from agents do you know how did you do it which agent did you use who taught you how to do it tell me your secret don't hide anything from us how about your family are you leaving them behind would you please help me have a look at my documents i became an expert overnight but many people were now depending on me so as a result of help of these things these questions that i answered and helping people more results started coming i helped my brother secure admission and scholarships like newcastle university in the uk i helped all my friends to package their university applications that were able to secure admission which fulfilled the one in the us and one in the ca in canada and so many other people that i have helped online and then the work became too much because i am just one person so for everybody that i helped i had to personally review the application documents i had to rewrite application documents in pretty much many cases because people couldn't see the things that i saw and it took a lot of effort to secure admission and scholarship for each person that i helped at this time also i was also a student pursuing my master's degree and having to help all of these people so the process became too time consuming and unsustainable to handle and i did not want to stop helping people so what did i do i had to create a process called scholarship and admission success strategy it's called the sas we call it the sas process so i created this process to make it easy for people to secure admission and scholarships themselves so that you don't have to rely on me because i'm so busy i can't help everybody but also i want to help everybody but i can't help everybody personally because i'm so busy so i created the process that puts together all of the methods the tools and the templates that make that have used and other people have used that makes it easy for anybody to learn the process of securing admissions and scholarship by themselves just like i did and other people have done and it reduced the time of the process from months to weeks because when i was helping people took a long time because it was just me one person so now it has shortened the time from months to weeks and also introduced this process to prospective graduate students and that helped them secure admissions with full scholarships so after i arrived canada i had a sober reflection of how the admission and success strategy helped me secure a future for myself and my family and it doesn't even end when you secure a future for yourself just if you it's like you're creating generational opportunities for your children your children's children you give them the kind of life that they deserve and how it was helping other people do the same thing escape from economic difficult economic situations in their home countries to get to other countries to and secure greener pastures for themselves explore new opportunities abroad giving families the opportunities to live their best life some people are running away from the security situation in their country you can't blame them this became my new mission i started to tell people that there are many ways to get ahead in life and education is one of them leverage on it but then again thinking back at it i discovered this the hardware took me months and months and struggles and struggles and disappointments for me to be able to get to the point where i got one yes however does this mean that it should be the same for you my answer is no the fact that i have succeeded it means that it should be easy for you coming behind me to succeed in your journey too so i went online one day and i saw somebody was talking about sop and somebody commented what does sop mean please so who could this be you you're not conversant with any of the study abroad language or anything that regards study abroad you don't know where to start you don't know how to do it you are confused you don't know how people are getting it we need to talk so today i'm gonna be having a heart to heart talk with all of us so let's have a heart to heart but first of all i want you to know that it is not your fault there's a learning curve and there's a process for everybody the fact that today you don't know something doesn't mean that you will not do it tomorrow as long as you submit yourself to the process of reading so now i'm guessing that for a lot of you it's probably not your first webinar on admissions and scholarships that you are listening to right now yeah thinking what's different about this or perhaps it is maybe this is your first time and i want to let you know that if you have not been able to secure admissions and scholarships or you do not even know where to start from really is not your fault don't stress because you can do this if you have the right person to explain it to you and provide you with a step-by-step process i know from experience that there's a lot of information to go through for getting scholarships and admission on the internet on social media different people are talking at you and become so overwhelming how do you know who to trust how do you know which is called correct information so many people saying things to you saying things that you have had a lot of people say some very strange things that i've never heard before and they hear it from people somebody told them that an agent told them this it's not something on social media i saw something on internet so it's overwhelming and you become stressed out so many of us may have gotten confused that we don't even know where to start from or we have become so overwhelmed that we have decided that you know what i give up i am here to help you the stresses that you face and the struggles i face in this process is not your fault and that's why i'm here to help you well first of all it's important that we do not believe everything agents tell you some agents may have told that it's not possible for you to secure admissions and scholarships with your educational background or work experience some people are saying that because you're an ass or you're a social science take no scholarship for you i'm here to tell you that they are wrong it's not as if they like to mislead you they're trying to deceive you but they only told you that because they do not know how to apply for scholarships themselves these are the results of their lack of knowledge and i also want to remind you that your dreams are valid so if you dream of a better life for you and your family by looking relocated abroad to study other scholarships yes your dreams are valid that you can achieve that dream so do not let your own limiting beliefs come between you and your dreams i've seen a lot of people give up even before they started i want to tell us that we should use our disappointments as opportunities to learn and do not allow your disappointments to define you or hold you back so maybe disappointed by agents if you say that because an agent took your money around when you're not you're not going to try again the agent did not only steal your money agents also stole the dream of a better life and the opportunity of a better life from you because you have decided to give up so don't let all these disappointments define you or hold you back you have been disappointed today pull yourself off try again because you deserve this future you deserve this life so now let's reason together with a simple comparison so this is what you have been doing so far the hard way what many people have been doing you apply for many schools without proper planning it's time consuming some of these schools also so first of all you find an agent usually around two thousand dollars i don't know what is what this charge now and that's if they can be trusted like i said they are good agents and they are bad agents so if you fall into the hands of good agents lucky you fall into the hands of bad agents too bad to take your money and they run away and then you apply for many schools without proper plan this is time consuming we also pay application fees as well so it also consumes your money as well no planning you just apply for schools some people may get admission you manage to secure admission tuition fees that are generally very very high so it means that you apply for admissions and you do not get scholarships so you are left with two options it's either you pay for the tuition fees from your pocket around 40 000 which many people do not have and cannot afford so it means that they cannot claim this admission which leads to further disappointments and so many people give up so you don't pay the money or you don't pay it and you give up and your heart is broken so let's see your total upfront cost assuming that you can pay the money you spend around forty two thousand to forty five thousand dollars if you cannot afford it and you decide not to take it the time has been wasted let's say one year of your life is gone so now with this sas strategy this is what you get you get savings of over 40 thousand dollars because you are able to secure scholarships to fund your studies it means that as your school you get paid you do not have to pay any money from your pockets to go to school just like me but you save your time because you're not running from pillar to post looking for what to do or what not to do or get admission that you cannot claim because now you've got a scholarship so you can claim it so your time is safe it's less stressful and they are no hassle because you're not going through a thought party or asking somebody for help or depending on somebody that you don't even know if they have your best interests at heart and then you can change your life and that of your family live in a good country live in a safe country give your children the best of education get a good job for yourself get yourself a good career buy a home of your choice drive nice cars you deserve this and your family deserves this so today i'm going to be sharing with us three secrets and these are the secrets of admission of the scholarship and admission success strategy so this is the secret of the sas process so the first secret and i'll be breaking it down and explaining it to us so the first secret is the application packaging how to secure admissions and thousands of dollars worth of funding irrespective of your academic records and second secret i'll be sharing is application success templates how to create an academic ground pathway for yourself by using trusted and tested guides and the final one is the smart scholarship search so how to smartly find open scholarships hidden scholarships and scholarships that suit your academic background and personal profile i always tell people that there are opportunities for every category of students if you know where to sit so for the first secret how to secure admission and thousands of dollars worth of funding irrespective of your academic records so this one has to do with application packaging so in this you have to package your application so that it reflects your unique abilities as the students so now i can guess what you are thinking that i might show this application packaging work for me this will only work for people with excellent academic records and you are wrong because everybody has a unique story and everybody has something to offer you just need to be able to find this so i'm going to explain application packaging for us in fourth and fourth steps so the first step is to find a program of best fit you need to find a program that best suits your background your experiences and your academic qualifications then secondly you need to strategically locate admissions and scholarship opportunities for the program of best fit that you have found and thirdly you need to package your application to leverage on your strengths to stand out for success remember how we talked about telling your unique story so that the admission and scholarship committee will never forget you they have you in mind until they give you the scholarships yes this is it you need to leverage on your strengths so that you stand out and finally you relocate as an expatriate student where you get paid while you study abroad and live your best life awesome right so now i'm going to ask you a question does this sound simple well perhaps yeah it took me a while to figure it out so what's different with the application packaging i'm going to let us know by talking about the story of someone called festus testosterone located from ovary to west florida so festus has been up i've been applying to schools and at first he kept getting rejections and then he started getting admissions but no funding and finally festus got funding at the university of west florida to study history yes you heard that right history so what did festus do differently first us use the application packaging methods to show his unique strengths such that this who would not only offer him admission but he was through excellence if his application was so excellent that they had to give him funding so what's important that i want us to know when it comes to these things is the how and not just the what but i've seen a lot of people when they ask me questions all they want to know is how this has a few examples i've been pleased um i got accepted into brandon university how can i get scholarship you see how someone who can guide me on how to apply for scholarships knowing which program program to apply for taking the first step where do i go from here so there are a lot of challenges that people face with these things and i tell them that you are just one package application away from securing admissions and scholarships so now let's go back to festus remember festus at first he said he was applying for three years applying pointlessly wasting application fees and getting not getting admission then getting admissions without scholarships and he finally used the application packaging technique to secure admission and funding at the university of west florida to study history so now you may be thinking that would this work for me i don't have i don't have the time for this i am busy working full-time a nine-to-five job running a business taking care of my kids and my spouse attracted to that so the reason why many people get stressed with this process is that they get exhausted trying to figure out what to do before and before they eventually figure it out they get exhausted and they give up because they have a lot of things that they are doing in their lives too and this um this um admission and success part and strategy is going to help you to take care of all these things so that you already know how to start where to start and what to do so with application packaging you can secure admission and funding with whatever your grade is and whatever your cost is just like festo so secured funding for history so let's go to the second secret how to create an academic role pathway by capitalizing on trusted and tested guides so in this um here we're going to be talking about the application success templates so to talk about it let's talk about um jessica so with templates templates gives you templates that helps you to direct you direct your thought process on what you need to do so in the case of jessica jessica made it happen by using the trusted templates because applying to different schools when you're applying to differences it comes to cumbersome and it's a lot and then you have to create different application documents and sometimes the documents are not coherent they are all over the place so like for jessica and jessica's case she couldn't structure our documents in it in a way that portrayed her best value or her best characteristics for her course so in jessica's case we have to give her the guide which which helps her to brainstorm on her experiences unlike my experiences and she did not have to start from scratch every time because she already had the templates and guides he guides you your thinking process it helps you to think and to put down these things so the templates will support you in spreading out your application to increase your chances so this is what jessica used and jessica made it happen so in jessica's case she was applying to the university of saskatchewan in canada and they needed a cgp of 70 and a background in academic education to secure admission so and jessica had a treaty but she used which is less than cgp of 70 but she used the application success temperature showcase our teaching experience inside and outside the classroom even though she didn't have all the requirements of the school jessica was successful and she was able to secure admission so now let's talk more about the application success templates with the broken this down into three steps so the first step is for you to review templates so you review the templates to guide you in brainstorming exercise for you to flesh out your the information you need to feel in the templates the step two is to tell your unique story your unique passion story or interest everybody has a story but you need to be able to tell it in a coherent way it talks about your background and your interest that flows so this apply applying these templates will help you to brainstorm on your unique story which will guide you and just make you succeed in your personal statement and then finally you transfer your unique story into a template so you plug it into the template then you rinse and repeat for other applications so what have you been doing what many people have been doing that they go on the internet they look for samples you don't even know if these samples work or not because there's a lot of information on the internet it lacks the unique story of you the applicant so you're telling another person's story which is not even unique to you lots of grammatical errors and it's been duplicated a lot when these people see duplicated documents they know so you use the sample you get rejected you miss out on thousands of dollars of opportunities your time is wasted and you continue in this circle of frustration until you give up this is very sad you don't want this to happen to you and i want to remind us that using a template is not the same as copying there are different templates makes you think so let's see what copying can cost you this was a tweet of somebody that said that the school that had contacted him that people from nigeria were copying and using the same documents it's called plagiarism if you are caught plagiarizing you just you just throw your application in the garbage and you don't want that to happen so today i want to let us know that there is an easier way of using templates so let's talk about stephanie's story stephanie had ex followed her relocation pathways but she wasn't successful and then she approached me for help i recommended his study abroad pathway advised her to apply to multiple schools to increase her chances she had a challenge of time because stephanie is a busy medical doctor in our home country so i recommended using the templates academics of the templates of academic cv sop scholarship essays and reference letters i gave her templates and she after stephanie applied this template she was able to secure 85 funding at university of north carolina on the right here her and stephanie's admission lets out that talks about the funding that she stephanie was successful and she's she's on her way to the united states so this is another big lie that many of you have been told i don't have brains for school who told you that they liked you so one common thing about immigration is that there are lots of lies and the lies are not to harm you the people that tell you this like they are not out there to harm you but as a result of this information that they have because they to have lied to i want to ask you a question how do you feel knowing that you have been lied to are you angry mad or relieved i think i feel really different when you knowing the truth and i want to know that it's not your fault that you have been lied to i know that you are here to get knowledge so let's proceed you have to come to the right place get the right knowledge so i want you to know that your skills should not be an imbalance with the application success templates you can create an academic route for yourself that you'll be successful so show of hands who here thinks that scholarship and admission success strategies also well i do and i'm sure you do too right now so let's move on quickly to the third secret secret three is smart scholarship searches so how this how to find open scholarships hidden scholarships and also scholarships that suit your academic background and profile so there are scholarships for every you heard that every category of students so i know that you may be thinking that but zeno scholarships are only for smart people first class and distinction students well
