Peek-a-boo. Come on out, Monty. Woo. Wow. Look at all the briefcases. God knows what's in
them, probably cash. OK, my proxy bid, I'm
going to go 600 on this. You're going to go
$600 on this unit. $600 All right, we got to
be going on 6 by 10. I've got a little
proxy bid here, folks. Somebody has
inspected this unit, and they've authorized me to
bid up to a certain point. Can any give me how much? You give me $500,
what about $500? - $50.
- I got $50 there. Any give $75 where? [aunctioneer chant] one.
One here. One and a quarter,
one and a quarter. Hundred and a half, hundred
and a half here. $175, $175 What about two? $200, two. $225, $225, going twice. Hang on a second. $200 I've got. 200 and a quarter, $225,
where? $225 going once, twice. Last and final call at two. What about you 225? Sold after the
proxy bid at $200. Barry Weiss proxy bid $200. Way to go, Barry. That was me in that envelope. I knew this would
be a game-changer. All right, let's
see what we got. Debunk the junk. Regular sleeping bags
like $10, I think. Gosh. A real egg. I don't know,
let's check it out. Let's hope the
rest of the locker is not that tough to crack. An old camera, $10, a toolbox. I don't like
there's tools in it. Nothing. Oh, wait a minute. What-- I didn't even know they
did dental floss in cinnamon. I've been using
mint like a chump. This is the first thing
I found with any value, and it's a good one. It's a magnum Maglite,
so it's the bigger one. $20. It's just a cooler with
a bunch of junk in it. Would have been much cooler
if it had something of value. Oop, sorry. Just more worthless junk. What is this? It's not even set
to my favorite time. Looks like I missed
it by 10 minutes. Wait a minute, maps because
he didn't have a cell phone. What do you got going on here? Well, oh, wait a minute. Oof. What do I owe this visit to? I thought I'd come check
out your $200 locker. It's always a joy to spend
some quality time with Barry. You're going to
help me start digging. I'm also intrigued to see
what a proxy bid gets you. What do you got going on here?
- Well, nothing. - Oh.
- Whoa, whoa, whoa. This has been made into a table. - I love it.
- Yeah. Yeah, old man ingenuity. I like it. You got to do
what you got to do. There's nothing
in here either. Nothing, nothing,
wait a minute. You got a-- You wait a minute. Golf ball with a brush on it. See your spatuling everything
at this point, right. So I'm going to open it.
- Come on. You're going to
spatulate it out. I'd stand clear. Oh, God. Oh. Oh. Look at this dirty little freak. So many father's days. There are some good ones
in here, believe it or not. This. I like this one. Oh, yeah.
- Yeah. I can see you in that.
Hold on. It matches my outfit. I know it does. That's why I'm going with this. Oh, no, no. This way. Why don't you do it? You know I'm holding
a spatula, Barry. Some of these
I'd actually wear. Well, I mean, you know,
do you want to ask somebody? Do you have a tie guy? Doesn't everybody? Yeah, I do. Wait, till you meet him. You're going to love this guy. Oh, I get to
meet your tie guy? You're going with. I'm going with? Yeah and don't worry--
you'll be fascinated. I'm going to keep my spatula. Spatula. It's your spot, huh? Yeah, this is the one. I'm tagging along with
Barry to Louis Formal Wear. We're going to tie one on. That's what I
was going to say. Meet James a.k.a. the Tie-stro. Charmed, I'm sure. Yes, ma'am. A.k.a the tie guy. How do you want to rummage
through these, James? Oh, man look at this. The '70s called, and they want
their father's day gift back. You bet. Exactly. But there's a lot
of other ones here that seriously are quite nice. I mean, not only
are they silk, but-- - Definitely a mixed bag.
- It is. This has a really
nice feel to it. I would say right now on eBay,
if this was in good shape, probably $90-- - Really?
- For this one. - Really?
- Wow. This is probably the
gem out of collection just from a
manufacturing standpoint. I see. Most of these are silk
and mostly vintage, I would say '80s. So James, what do you
think the whole bag is worth? I think conservatively,
looking conservatively, let's just say there's 80 ties here. I'd say you could
expect to get $400. - It's a surprise.
- Look at you. Look at you, kid.
- I'm telling you that. Yeah. The fun thing about ties
besides being able to sell them, make a little
bit of money on is the beautiful things
you can make of them. Take it away. Let's see what the
tie guy can do. Show us what you can do. We call this one the Rosebud. How long did it
take to do that? Took me about 30 seconds. That fast? This is one of
the quicker ones. This is very simple knot. This one I call the switchback. It's just a fun tie. This one they call the Eldredge. This is one of the
more complicated knots. It has a lot of moving parts. And then the next one is the
double tie Eldredge, probably the hardest knot to tie. About how long for a beginner? Probably multiple attempts, 10
to 15 minutes, I would imagine. - How about you?
- About a minute. So you're telling me that
you can tie this crazy knot in under a minute? - Normally, yes.
- This I got to see. I would love to see this.
- Me too. Let's do it. So this knot only works with a
vest or a suit coat buttoned. OK. So I guess I'm ready if
you want to start the clock. I'm ready.
Ready? Go. And stop clock. You made it with
two seconds to spare. I love it. So if I send you a tie,
you can tie it for me. Send it back, whatever. You're the only man on the
planet I would do that for. I appreciate that. Wow.
