[Music] those who think that they can live a high spiritual life whose bodies are filled with idleness and luxuries are mistaken all story have you ever wondered why some people seem to effortlessly navigate life with a sense of clarity and purpose While others struggle with decision making emotional turmoil and a lack of resilience well it turns out that it all starts with our bodies Yes you heard it right our bodies hold the key to unlocking a life of balance discipline and true freedom hello everyone today in this video we will discuss about profound connection between our physical well-being and its impact on our mental and spiritual lives so let's start without further ado we all are mortal beings and these matters not just because it means that each of us will die someday but because in order to live we must do certain things in a right manner like eat sleep and move and of course those who do these things better those who take care of their bodies are the one who are in better shape in the words of renowned writer James Baldwin people pay for what they do and steal more for what they have allowed themselves to become do you know that our bodies keep a record of our choices silently and not so silently shaping our physical appearance our emotional state and our overall well-being I want you to ask yourself are you making a good decisions are you in control or is your body taking control over you these things matters not just physically but also mentally and spiritually you see Temperance isn't about denying ourselves pleasure it's about practicing self-discipline so that we live longer and more importantly to live well and when we start neglecting our bodies indulging in Access and in Temperance it's not only affects us physically but also mentally and spiritually I recently came across an interesting concept explained by neuroscientists Lisa Feldman Barrett where she explained the idea of a body budget you know our brains are responsible for regulating our bodies but when our physical well-being is compromised our brain simply can't do its job effectively it's as if we are running on an empty tank unable to function optimally if you wonder why we make bad decisions why we are not resilient why we are distracted why we are afraid and why we are caught in the in the thrall of extreme emotions if you wonder why we do these things well it starts with the body you know in addiction circles they use the acronyms halt h-a-l-t which means hungry angry lonely and tired as a helpful warning real big for the signs and triggers for a relapse remember we have to be careful we have to be in control or we can risk losing it all when we speak of temperance and self-discipline we are referring to a person who has who has themselves under control and for that our body is the first step in that Journey if we will treat our body rigorously restrain it and dominate it we will start treating it like a temple so that our body may not overrun and override our mind so that it may not deprive the mind in this sense we are constraining ourselves physically so that we can free ourselves mentally and spiritually remember no one who is a slave to their urges and sloth no one without strength or a good schedule can create a great life discipline isn't about depriving ourselves or becoming slaves to rigid routines it's about choosing the hard path the path of self-control and self-mastery through discipline we free ourselves from the chains that hold us back enabling personal growth and the creation of a truly fulfilling life when it comes to discipline someone has rightly said we choose the hard way because in the long run it's actually the only way as we conclude today's video I want to leave you with this powerful thought our bodies are the foundation upon which our minds and Spirits thrives by taking care of our physical selves we open the doors to mental Clarity and emotional resilience and spiritual awakening At Last I hope you found this video helpful if you enjoyed this video please like and share it with your friends and family do not forget to subscribe to our channel for more videos on personal growth and development thank you for watching
