and asking a girl out for the first time can be pretty terrifying well my next guest is 35 years old but doesn't know how that feels because he's never been on a date in fact he's never even kissed a girl not a fear rejection has held him back his entire life take a look Steve you're always helping women on your show I even watched you help a woman who'd never been kissed but what about me Steve I'm 35 years old like a single my entire life I've never experienced the first date in fact I've never even kissed a girl before Steve I'm a nice genuine guy but as painful as it is I have to admit it I've got zero game when it comes to women I'm ridiculously shy and I have no courage I've always pictured myself as a family man and I need a woman in my life to get started my biological clock is ticking and I feel like I'm getting closer and closer becoming a real-life 40 year old virgin and that's definitely not one of the things on my bucket list so Steve please help me break out of my shell and step things up with the ladies bread my buddy you came to the right place I'm gonna be helping him out today now as you know one of the keys to confidence is feeling good in order to feel date was when my nephew got married I took a liking to the maid of honor and we talked a little bit too before the wedding but I didn't want to do anything I had the wedding because there was enough family drama that could have happened so I waited till after the wedding to make my move you know but we emailed back and forth a few times but I wound up dying out and have you ever really tried asking a girl out I never grew up knowing how to do that you know I grew up you know in a household where you know I really wasn't encouraged to go out and meet people so I never really developed not in high school you know it's not your usual situation so you know I don't know what to expect from them and and I don't know if they know what they'll expect from me so it's a lot of new stuff that I that I'm need to go through and experience but you know it's left me nervous but I'm really excited how do you feel about being a 35 year old virgin it's tough but it's something I'm proud of you know because I I could have had chances to to not have been that but I don't want to give that up to someone that I don't see spending the rest of my life with I mean is is it where I wanted to be no but you know I'm just hoping you know I'm a 35 year old virgin in five years I'm not a remake of the 40 year old virgin yeah I mean I commend you for that let me go over the couple of things mail we first of all we got to get rid of this fear of rejection the fear of failure is the number one cause of failure see fear freezes you it causes you not to act so what happens is your fear of rejection causes you not to take the step so now guess what there's no chance of a date we are men we are created to hunt you got to do the hunt man you waiting on them to hunt it ain't gonna happen so you got to get into the hunt you got to get into the game you got to make that a part of your day-to-day but the only way you're gonna do that we got to overcome the fear of rejection we can do bowl and stuff like that I'm glad she kind of led the conversation because I kind of froze there a little bit up has no idea why he's so nervous can't let a lady drink alone do you normally drink wine have you ever had a part you know even not look 30 no wine is good and it's not too strong so maybe that I'll loosen them up it's a lot of fun yeah good times some of you have any special talents or interests I used to play the clarinet when I was like sixth grade what are yours I can grab my leg around the side of my back and then into my front of my head wait are you serious you want to take a pretzel oh my god oh my god I'm definitely feeling more comfortable as the night goes along I cannot believe you did the whole like stretched leg hip thing but you know super sweet and he has a great sense of humor I did one let the cat out of the bag this early but this is actually my first ever date Wow yeah I was a little scared to tell her Val you know that was 35 and then on my first day that's okay he's a great guy and it makes me feel so special that I'm his first date so how do you feel about this so far awesome yeah I have a weakness for black I don't know if you speak any Spanish Doka Doka thought and we and Mosul I don't know what you said but it was due the day is going awesome I couldn't be happier I actually have a little surprise for you actually have salsa dancing up there be serious I love salsa totally relieved that she still wants to hang out with me and continue the day so uh I can't wait start dancing I can't wait your forward on back a lot of bumpin on the floor she kissed me she made it easy for me took the nerve right out of the equation I'm no longer first time first aider or first time first kisser you're good huh I wasn't brat it was great it was dance so I got to teach him a little bit of that and the food was amazing and the company was even better you know something bread is actually a lot that a lot of guys who've been dating for a while could actually learn from you but if you go out on the first date man if you don't apply the pressure you just have a nice time treat her like a lady that could be the best time for both of you the
