My husband is from the sheriff’s county. There’s a surprising amount of abuse of power and corruption by cops and government employees in small town America. The school superintendent (or some higher up administrator) was fired for spending nearly six figures from the school funds on herself: fancy dinners, trips to Disneyworld, cars, etc.
Good. The good one's need to keep calling out those thug assholes cops that can't handle the little power they have.
Was on the amtrak coming from nyc yesterday and this 60+ year old guy and his wife got in @ grand cenral. Conductor came through and he pulls out his wallet and just flashes his badge?! conductor was like, I have no idea wtf that is or what your trying to do but just kept going. Conductor didn't want to make a big stink about it but gimme a break.
