Stamp Carving Tutorial for Beginners

[Music] hello welcome to Sam carving tutorial for beginners we'll begin with the tools you'll need a stamp block an eraser and a pencil or your doing the carving tool you need is a 9au cutter can be from people or any other vinyl cutters on branded or branded either your name which later on I'll show you how to put on your vinyl cutter and of course the transfer paper to transfer your drawings onto your stamping block when I was starting out I actually use a speedball liner cutter like this one but we want another red one and I'm going to show you how to insert the nib onto that next part so there are parts and time you then have to take the knob and put the map back in so you put in the bigger part first and put that in and then you put on the NAB there's going to be a slit between this bigger part and then the timing one ten year one which I'm holding right now and I'm putting it in and you may not get it at first so patience is key you will get it eventually I remember a student of us when our first time doing both but you'll get the hang of it eventually and this one is from skee-ball speedy cars I really like this black it's pink and I cut it down the side I'm going to put on the link at the description box so you know where to get them okay so here I'm starting to doodle or draw I don't really drawn so important mean or oh it's a go mamela flower by the way I'm making small one if you don't know how to draw I don't know how to do the little you can always print out something and then just trace it with a transcript papers later on rub it onto the carving block so this is a bigger flower in the mellah flower oh yeah you can always challenge yourself you know it doesn't have to be really complicated can be a secret are a fun part of you and if you noticed a while ago actually trace my block onto the transfer paper so I know where I'm drawing for it be it space tell me and you can use any tool to rub that on through the carving block I use a bone folder boom and there's a little bit of space left inside that rectangle I made so I just filled it in with onions going rub it on again [Music] there you have it so I cut it down to three different pieces because I have three different yeah and let's start carving with a bigger Google melon flower just a few tips before you start carving do remember to take it slow might really take your time when you're tracing your drawings really inside the lines or outside the lines also the more pressure you put into it the deeper the carving and of course the lighter pressure you put into it will mean writers are so it's really up to you you are in complete control of your tool trust evolve keep practicing just be patient and enjoy it enjoy it so yeah I'll leave you to it and [Music] [Music] [Music] remember you started out with a drawing onto the block transferred onto the block now we have a final product I've carved all of the three stamps starting with a bigger than the male flower the smaller one it does at least and now I'm showing you how to print it out onto paper so I'm using memento ink Richards iRacing later I found figure 1 first I'm actually going to turn it into a pattern and you can do this with any of your staff you can turn to pattern a greeting card stationery it's endless the mountain in do with pants even when I write and fabbs like you can put it onto textile at your clothes cans of tote bags cetera etcetera this is why I love carving and unrolled and sandwich no enough pushing um I hope you really enjoyed this video because I really am so glad that I'm able to do this now and share with everyone how to stamp garb I know it's not that easy to do or it looks overwhelming when you're starting out but really the moment you get the hang of things and you find yourself enjoying it you'll get sorta to do it like I'm so addicted to it I've been doing it for three years and I haven't since like I'm literally carving every day unless of course I'm too busy doing other things like adult thing but yeah so here's a final product oh and by the way going back to the carving tool guide speedball this is really helpful especially if you are absolutely beginner like when I started out the first tool I picked up in and use helped me out a lot and as you can see there's even a compartment to put your name and and really bring it with you anywhere if you're wondering at all it's sponsored it's not this is going my third video and how I wish it was but it really isn't I just like this book so yeah subscribe and hit like button see you around
