hello my friends i'm wavy and here i'm going to be showing you everything you need to know to get stalker anomaly up and running if you guys are experienced stalkers i highly suggest you check out the bookmarks that i have in the description so you can get to certain sections of the video that pertain to you otherwise this is going to be a comprehensive guide i'm going to go over the install process which is pretty simple then i'll touch upon game modes settings and last i will talk about add-ons unfortunately because this release is very new there's not going to be a lot of add-ons but there are a few out there that i will be able to recommend to you guys all right so let's get into it down in the description you're going to find all the links pertaining to everything that i'm going to talk about in this video so where you're going to want to go is to the mod db of stalker normally this is the home page i do recommend reading some of this stuff here if you are interested it does explain the game pretty well but down at the bottom you will find downloaded installation all you got to do is click on this this is going to bring you to the mod db download page where you will be able to download stalker anomaly 151 so give this a little bit of time to download the game and come back to the video when you're ready all right once the game is downloaded you're going to see it as an archive file here i highly suggest getting something along the lines of 7-zip i know you guys will notice here mine says jzip i don't actually use that i do have 7-zip so when you download the game what you should do is create a folder to contain everything so right here i have an anomaly folder in my hard drive and i just placed my archive file in there from here we're going to want to open it up and here you're going to see all the game files so the only thing that we're going to want to do here we're going to go back to our anomaly folder create another folder that i'm just going to call stalker anomaly 151 now inside that folder we're going to want to take everything from the stalker anomaly download and extract it like so this will also take a couple minutes so please take your time all right so once your game is done extracting your files congratulations stalker anomalies installed yeah it's that easy so let's go ahead and open up our launcher here here's what you're going to be met with the first thing we're going to look at is the render here you want to be using either directx 10 or 11 i would use the highest one that you can manage i've often had problems with directx 11 and amd graphics cards so i've usually used directx 10 but either one of those are the preferable ones if your computer is a little bit out of date you might want to be trying to use some of the later renderers avx cpu support is for computers that have a more modern cpu so if your computer is on the order of five years or more older i would probably keep that unchecked debug mode is usually used for modding but can also be pretty handy for cheating which i love to do i always leave the shadow map on 2048 and the other things you don't really need to worry about down here last is the reset graphics settings you're going to want to type in the screen resolution of your monitor and i usually play the game on borderless windowed it's exactly the same as full screen but it actually allows you to tab out stalker at least in my experience has always been prone to crashing when you alt tab out of full screen once you're ready with all this stuff you can go ahead and click play as you can see down here in the corner we see stalker anomaly 151 now let's go ahead and dive into the new game there are two main game modes in stalker anomaly there's the story mode and the warfare mode story mode has a quest line for every faction in the game as well as the lost the zone quest line that is only available for certain factions as you guys can see here loner duty freedom ecologist mercenary and clear sky there's also the living legend mortal sin in operation afterglow which happened after the loss to the zone story you guys are more curious about that you won't see those quests until you complete loss to the zone they happen afterwards and i forget exactly if there's certain triggers that you have to do to be able to unlock them but but that's as far as i know about that so i did want to make an additional point here in stalker 151 there is actually a fourth bonus quest line that is not shown here they say living legend mortal sin operation after glow there is also another one called hollow boundaries that they are saying is in one five one i actually haven't played that yet so i can't tell you about it but just some information for you the azazel mode is only for warfare mode when you're playing when you die you end up possessing a new body survival mode is done with the story mode usually and apparently it's not compatible with itself they've just replaced all the spawns with zombies i typically don't ever use this it just kind of i don't know it never really worked quite right always leave on accessible zone for iron man mode it's over here in the center when you die that's it there's also alternate settings here the both lives and the life granter over here on the right is hardcore save mode so you have campfire mode you can only save near a campfire agony mode you can only save when you're not injured bleeding irradiated in combat or in an emission or sidestorm and the timer mode so you can only do it so often and all these are compatible with each other over here you have difficulties if this is your first time playing play on easy and tourist me i'm gonna play on medium and scavenger but don't worry these things are totally tunable and i'll show you later in the settings up here you'll see loadouts these will change with your progression difficulty but basically you see you have points here this is your inventory and these are other things that you can add to it like say you want some health kits some bandages that maybe a battery one of those yeah the other game mode that's available is the warfare game mode now this changes a lot what ends up happening is every location in the game becomes one of three territory types a base of resource or just a plane territory territories don't mean much the resources are strategic locations and the bases spawn units warfare is very interesting there is a mod that i will suggest you use with this there's also lots of settings to control all sorts of different behaviors with this and i'll go over it'll be a little bit long though up here you'll see you can type in your name and you can choose a portrait as well as choose your faction so if you don't know what the factions are you can always click on them and read their little history up here but there's the loners bandits clear sky duty freedom mercenaries military ecologists and the monolith each faction that you select if you're in story mode there's usually just one location if you're in warfare there could be many there's also another setting that deals with potentially random locations for all the factions during the warfare mode if this is your first time playing i would suggest playing with the loners that's typically a good starting point for the stalker experience but stalker can be very difficult and if you're looking for probably the easiest way to play the game play with clear sky so that's it for the game modes i'm gonna get in game because there's certain settings that you can only access in game and then i'm gonna go ahead and take a look at all the settings in the game one thing that we're gonna do before we do that exactly is check out our visual settings because this will need the game to be restarted when we change them in the visual settings you see basic and advanced the basic just double check your render type double check your resolution adjust your field of view to your liking and set your screen mode in the advanced setting there's a whole bunch of stuff here but there's presets up here in the top right corner you see they go from extreme to potato i like to use the presets i'll put mine on high and what i also like to do i turn on the anti-aliasing and i turn on screen space ambient inclusion that's just for me i do have some pretty serious hardware so you guys know your hardware better than i do so we'll apply our video settings it says we have to restart the game so we're going to do exactly that and i'll get back in once we're actually in game alright so now that we are in game this is a good time to go and look at the other settings back to the visual tab you see the ui and hud you can change all of these things however you like for me i choose the crosshair i like to turn off the belt artifact hud i do show the mini map and this one's pretty important npc identification this one makes it so that your crosshair will tell you if you're aiming at an enemy or a neutral faction or a friendly this is really helpful because it's kind of hard to tell what every person's faction is from 100 meters away there is also down here a great addition to rc19 the control of the head bobbing factor now if you're an absolute maniac and you like being nauseous most of the time you could put it on two but i'm gonna go ahead and put it on point three over here in the player is some other effects some of these things can get awfully annoying so it's important to remember exactly what this stuff does you have gas mass effects and you have player effects most of this stuff i will just leave on just for the hell of it the weather and night you don't really need to do anything the night can get pretty dark though and they do have night brightness adjustments so you can change this if you want to be able to see a little bit better at night in the sound setting of course you can tune all the sound settings however you like me i usually turn the music volume down quite a bit environment i'll also turn down a little bit you guys can also see here there's mass breathing and rain droplets these have controls on them if you want to tune that the radio i typically leave on i actually don't really use the radio so i'm not sure how all of this works in the controls you can control obviously your sensitivities and toggle modes so i like toggle crouch toggle sprint multi-item pickup is a standard keep that on and in the keybinds you have all your controls you also have alternate controls over here so say for instance you have alternate mouse buttons like for the reload you can put that there now into the gameplay tab in the general settings there's not a lot here that you really want to mess with you can change say the corpse loot distance which is a great addition to rc 19 and if you're a maniac hardcore aia stealth kills is an experimental feature to rc19 they say that they leave it off because it can severely impact balance due to ability of freely killing friendly npc or clearing enemy bases when disguised so you bet we're going to turn this on oh and all melee weapons are valid of course the progression and gameplay difficulty tabs you guys see here are only for your individual play through so you as you can see the label up at the top there so in the progression difficulty this is controlled by one of those difficulty tabs as i showed you earlier you can see up in the top right corner your presets here so like say you have scavenger here usually i just use the presets but i also like to change the weapon integration down a little bit and the battery power down some as well most of the other stuff i leave alone just based upon the preset over in the gameplay of course this is controlled by the other difficulty here easy medium hard if you find yourself getting clapped a lot you can turn your protection up to great bullet hit power i typically always put at 1.3 the rest of this stuff typically leave alone except turning on the anomaly detector sound and turning the max carry weight all the way up in the disguise tab most of this stuff is pretty standard but i also like to say no for the inventory no for the backpack and i turn the maximum safe stay time up the disguise works is if you if you were wearing an outfit of a different faction people will consider you a part of that faction and many of these things control both suspicion factors as well as just plain old general settings most of the stuff i leave alone it can get pretty complicated to try to fuss with all this stuff but this is a pretty good set here fast travel i usually put on visited only and i do allow during combat sometimes the combat check can not work correctly so there might be dogs 150 meters away and the game thinks you're in combat so now you can't fast travel and you just have to run another 100 meters away in order to fast travel just kind of jank i just leave it like this the backpack fast travel state is the same way i'll click that on and allow during combat over here in the zone changes general a life settings now this is something you might want to actually mess with before you start a play through because the population factors can have a pretty significant impact what i like to do i turn the mutants up to one the stalkers up to 0.75 offline combat on full and just for laughs i like to put on helicopter sounds and patrols it's good that they have the controls for these because there's a lot of helicopters all over the place and sometimes they can get pretty annoying so you can turn off the sounds if you just don't want to hear that thing in the background and dynamic faction relations is also an interesting one you guys can read the description here but this one only use with warfare i don't actually know if it works for story mode but it can really really screw with your story mode by basically messing up your entire playthrough making it impossible for you to finish certain things over here in the events tab don't touch anything i will come back to this and let me get through the other couple settings here dynamic news you typically don't need to do much here unless you find all that chatter annoying there is basically control for every little thing that happens in the zone so you guys can choose and pick which ones you like which ones you don't or if you want to turn them all off if you want to leave it the way it is that's good too the others tab you'll see your language here so if you want to change it to russian you can do that there you also have discord status and some of your saving controls so auto save on level change i leave that on always i don't auto save after minutes but i do have the quick save at five quick save basically you get a certain set amount of quick saves so when you keep quick saving it'll overwrite other ones i leave it at five i usually don't need more than that but you can go up to 20 if you really need it and now we can come back to the warfare tab so this one's gonna take me a couple minutes to explain so in the warfare settings they do ship two presets with it there's a fast and a slow now i'll typically use the fast one if i'm playing it just vanilla although war makes it so that there are no friendlies of any kind everybody's fighting everybody random starting locations is one that i typically always use because of the way that the game is set up monolith will typically have a huge advantage right from the beginning and will always be the ones in control for most of the game the random starting locations makes it so that that doesn't happen over here in the auto capture i go down to the wait time and i'll typically move that down to about six this gives you enough time to loop bodies but it's not long enough that you have to sit there and camp out turn off fog of war here that's so that you can see what's happening on other parts of the map all this other stuff pretty much leave alone one thing i will point out to you guys if you guys want to just completely screw the game here is the support reward enemy rank weight so as you can see from the description when you kill an enemy you'll be rewarded the reward money then the enemy rank times the rank weight if you put this to one and you kill a stalker that's say like veteran level you know like 20 to 30 000 rank then you earn 20 to 30 000 rubles when you kill them this can really screw through game or just make you a millionaire so that's one cute little feature if you guys are interested in doing something like that typically always check on zombies act as a faction that one's just fun and that's usually where i leave it from there the azazele tab i typically will leave everything exactly the way it is if you are playing this you don't want to be spawning as an enemy or neutral stalker because then you're a different faction than the one you originally started with just means that you're going to be dragging out the war really badly now for the rest of these tabs each one applies to a faction in the game even the zombies what i'll typically do is i'll adjust one then hit apply to all so that the changes go through to everybody i don't touch everything in here as you guys can see there's level priorities which can get pretty messy the easiest thing to do is to use your presets but i'll point out a couple things here you have your minimum and maximum respawn time these are good controls to mess with there's also the minimum and maximum resurgence time i want to point this one out specifically for the resurgence when a faction is destroyed and they lose their last base they're then put on a timer between the min and max time once they hit that time they take a random base in the game that is what the resurgence is so in my playthroughs when i'm done letting the other factions resurge i will click off their participate in warfare so that they don't do it again otherwise the factions you keep destroying they just keep taking bases that you've already taken then you have to go back there fight them et cetera et cetera et cetera all right everybody that should about cover it for the settings i tried to talk about most of the important bits but if there's anything specifically that i missed or that you have a question about please let me know down in the comments the last thing that i did want to touch on is add-ons so i did mention it earlier but i do want to reiterate so a lot of the original add-ons that you'll find on the mod db aren't going to work with it if you're looking for something you're going to want to look for specifically 151 you might also be able to get away with other mods that say something like rc 22 23 or even maybe rc 19 or lower generally speaking between the rc's not a ton has changed but the best way to know if the add-ons are going to work as if it's designed for 151 so i will be showing you how to work with the add-ons i do have a couple recommendations for you for some that do work with the new version of the game so let me show you all of that stuff the one thing that you are going to want to get is jsgme the jonesoft generic mod enabler this is going to make your life a lot easier when it comes to putting in add-ons into the game it's going to allow you to enable or disable mods basically on the fly but i will also show you guys how to do things manually so when i'm modding stalker anomaly i like to have things pretty organized so i will make a mods folder that's completely separate from my stalker anomaly install folder just helps keep things cleaner all right so let me first show you how to do things with jsgme i'm going to be using two different mods here that i've actually created myself you can see here mortal companions and the improved nomad all they have in them is a game data folder and that's how most of your mods are going to come so with jsgme all you're going to want to do is take everything you see here copy it then go to your stalker anomaly install folder and paste everything right in there from here all you're going to want to do is paste things into this mods folder so i'm going to go back to here take my two mods copy them go back to the stocker anomaly install and paste them into the mods folder from here we're going to start jsgme and you'll see here the two mods all you have to do is go like this and there you go now your mods are activated if you are trying to do this manually it's relatively speaking simple so back to our mods here as i said there is a game data folder what we want to do is copy the game data folder go back to our stalker anomaly install folder and simply paste the game data folder in there if you have more mods it's the same process you just take the game data folder and copy it right in there the only thing that the mod organizer does is it basically just does the whole manual process for you so if you see here i've gone ahead and taken my mods back out there's nothing there but when i go to the mod organizer and i enable both of these mods you'll see the items in the game data folder now so let me give you guys a couple recommendations for some add-ons this is the 2k anomaly skybox textures now this one does in fact say it's for the previous version of stalker but because of the way that the files are structured they actually work with the new version and i'll explain that in a little bit the next one here is the jsrs sound mod for rc22 this one does work with the new version boomsticks and sharp sticks which has been updated for rc 23 which is effectively 151 and just for laughs the classic monolith taunt mod i will also just point out guys that if you don't have a dedicated graphics card in your computer or generally speaking your graphics card isn't that high powered the 2k skybox textures might be something you actually will want to skip on now with most add-ons you will want to always read the description they will often have instructions for installing or they will package a readme with the files that will tell you how to install but this is just good information for you to have i will explain a couple of things here so the first thing that i want to touch on is texture mods as you'll notice here i have the skybox texture mods open and the only thing you see here is a db file not a game data file luckily this is still pretty simple but the jsgme mod organizer is not going to be able to figure this one out you will have to do it manually but it's very simple so inside the db folder you're going to see a mods folder and you will see a couple of texture files you want to copy those texture files and go back to your stalker anomaly install directory go to the db folder in there into their mods folder and you're just going to paste them there and that's it for the other mods though as we did before with the mod organizer you're going to want to go to your mods folder and paste them all there i have mine all in here for jsrs and the boomsticks and sharp sticks now you'll see here there's this other folder here that says patch after installing jsrs sound mod that is because boomsticks and sharpstix and jsrs have a mod conflict but they have taken care of it in the boomsticks and sharpstix mod they include a patch so that you can deal with the mod conflict mod conflicts happen when two mods are trying to modify the same file and unfortunately if you do not have a patch from the one mod or the other it's a matter of you doing it manually and there's just no way i'm going to be able to explain that to you guys so for these mods here it's actually important the order of how you install them because these mods are overwriting the same files you need to make sure that they are done in the correct order or you will have problems so for these ones you install boom sticks and sharp sticks first after boomsticks and sharp sticks you're going to want to do jsrs one part at a time in the order one two three something you're going to see when using the mod organizer is messages like this the ones about folders are irrelevant they don't matter the ones that do matter however are when they say something dot ltx has already been altered this is a mod conflict where two mods are altering the same file but as i already said with jsrs and boomsticks and sharp sticks there is a patch that they have put in so everything is taken care of for these guys at least once jsrs is installed you apply the patch and you're all set alright everybody that's pretty much all i have for the guide as i said if you have any questions please let me know in the comments i'll do my best but try to help you out i may have a couple other guides coming out in the future that might be oriented towards modding if any of you guys are interested in stuff like that but until then peace out i will catch you on the flip [Music] you
