everyone Scipio here and in this video I'm going to talk about the Stahl bus oil drain valve I'm gonna replace my current solution which is the foam o2 valve with this stall bus and I'm doing it just mostly out of curiosity one of you my subscribers on YouTube told me about the stall bus I had to check it out and actually I think it might be a better product so let's see alright so this is the foam modo valve that I currently have I did a video on the installation of this product previously so you can check that out basically it has this little safety and then a valve that you can rotate with this little lever and then oil will come out the hole on the side now if you have to get a hose connected to the valve and the best way I can figure out to do this is this little elbow that you have to buy separately from fumo tow it doesn't come with it but it's the easiest way to connect the hose now on contrary the stall bus has a much simpler design it's a ball sort of device as well ball valve and it has this little protective cap the cap doesn't hold the oil it just protects it from getting all gunky and then this is the piece that connects to the hose that will allow you to drain the oil so putting this together as if it we're gonna be at the Jeep you'd have the little cap on and then it would get screwed in all the way to where that little brass washer is that's how much that's hanging out of your oil pan now in comparison this is what I have before hanging out of the oil pan with the fomo two valve quite a bit heavier chunkier valve so yeah so when you want to actually change your oil to drain the oil out of the oil pan you pull off the protective cap and then this just presses in there and releases the valve and oil comes out and then you put a hose on the bottom of that and the interesting thing also is this has an o-ring seal here so that's actually gonna seal before the ball is the rest so it's supposed to be completely drip free leak free mess free so I haven't changed oil with it yet and I'm just now going to install it for you in this video but basically three primary parts your main valve your protective cap and your little release deal also it does come with the hose which is really nice touch the fumo I had to go find my own hose so comes with the hose just stick it on there and yeah then to drain the oil you just plug that bad boy in rotate it and there's a quarter turn locks into place oil comes out and when you're done you just release it in the same fashion I did notice it appears to be very well serviceable it's got that little C kill'uh a spring holding a ball and a couple of rings that's really all that's involved with this so I'm gonna go and put this in the Jeep I do have skid plates underneath so it limits my access and your view but basically I've already removed the full moto valve if you're just installing this fresh you would just take out your your oil pan bolt just like you would be changing your oil and then this is gonna go in place making sure you keep that little brass washer there that's important now they say to torque this down to 18 foot pounds which is really small is like 200 and some things I'll put it on here inch pounds small amount and it's a 19 millimeter for me or a 3/4 inch and I get that tightened down boom there's the cap it's good to go that's what it's going to be like whenever I'm just using the vehicle now when I'm ready to change the oil I'm gonna unscrew that little cap and then I'm gonna plug in my hose which will allow oil to rapidly come out and yeah you can't get any simpler than that when you're done you just remove the hose I mean yeah it's pretty easy so after you're done changing oil you just pull it out and put your little protective cap on that's gonna keep any little remnants of oil from dripping out but also keep stuff from getting up inside of there as you use the vehicle a lot of being bought a boom you can see it's definitely tighter package than what was on there before it does you know stick out a little bit so I'm above a skid plate I don't have any real concerns and the critical parts really aren't that exposed if you you know you might booger up your cap I guess if you hit it but anytime there's a torque value I try and get exactly the right torque so I have this crazy concoction on a really tiny quarter-inch torque wrench to get me there and 18 foot-pounds is very little it's just a little bit past tight like it's it's tell it gets tight and then a little more and I don't think it was designed this way but I decided to store the hose like this that way it keeps in the oil that gets in there as I use it from getting all over everything and it stores nicely with my funnel and my little oil change area so a little tip for you you know wait guys that's it thanks for watching I'll catch you on the next one [Music] [Music] you
