it's the st louis cardinals and the houston astros inside the clubhouse and uh he got a phone call from larussa put him on so they've been in the league for a little bit he's going to be a tremendous addition to this team jose siri i think well this will be three that i know of just in the short here's a one-two pitch home run for michael brantley his first out of the spring that was loud mark 304 starts together a couple of hops hit to third taken there by nolan aronado one of the five returning gold glovers in this day and age get the other way against the shift in a base head instead the shift got him to stay at this level 3-2 pitch and a strikeout and the first of the afternoon the lineup for ollie marmol with edmond goldschmidt o'neal then arenado outdoor ground ball last spring training and he was supposed to miss last year's gold glover in the national league at second base chopped to third and diaz makes the play we'll see him come out has a tremendous run and pop into shallow left center and the catch is made by siri that deep short one albert pujols run and a swing and a miss first strikeout pitching and with the dh in play now in the national league it makes some sense there's there's a one-two pitch and it hits maldonado without recognizing that it was going to be in that tight over and makes the catch yep is primarily an infielder back to wayno under his glove backhanded by edmond in a flipped touch in anaheim we didn't play too many anaheim games but we saw him in la and albert and wayno and they're just winning players they know what winning looks like and you know to you kind of when you look back and answer like when you're in san diego it's really hard to produce something start thinking about it or that first week or whatever for the fan base in st louis now jose siri jimmy you played with albert many many years i mean too and you know he learned from the pitchers for michael bradley he is a good player grounded out to third his first time up it's kind of like being a baseball savant that's back to wayne oh the out there the turn and a double play i'm really a player is you hit 30 home runs or you hit 20 home runs or no matter what you do then club yeah i was taking batting practice at home the other day it's still picking at first base too it's not like you're going to throw them out there and he's going to struggle so there's always that up dodgers he had some pretty special moments at busch but that uh that's part of it too jimmy the crowd and feeding off the energy of those fans in my mind you have yachty and wayne oh and what they're doing you add albert pools a lot of leadership veterans um things that center and gone an opposite field home run jordan alvarez and he's close to the spring he's two for two today but he knew he hit that too didn't he he stood there even in the time he's been in the worst of times that's right that's picked right nice play by the young as they get louis tony the russia and now tony would also find good big league players really good big league players and they're out there every day early and the fact that someone else tells you tells someone else but chevy call to the pen hall of famers will be back for opening day and the one two third and what a play by a led miss get together shoot he's still in the league how many league one two three four five six years to the radio and it's really interesting too because you know they in a lot of cultures like it was a long time ago but it definitely definitely opened let go by the angels orinata was on a zoom for st louis and i was like take them all i think eventually adam wainwright into the shift charity hop there to de young and he makes the play you know the two nothing no big deal right where you want to be is as far as for a really really good game and [Applause] you're the two solo home and the o2 that'll stay in the ballpark and the catch is made harrison bader is there well isn't that cold in three days before opening day or a week before opening day there's no way but i used to think that was like really the wind was just coming straight up the little hill number one we're on board and then push for it to see albert come back home to st louis well and and i don't know if they triple a and the big leagues have that and that ball is down baldy young will score yep is on his way to second base sliding in with an rbi double st on the board and and it cuts the lead in the end stuff and it stops all that from leaving when they strike out of bader eight percent of his pitches at 100 miles an hour better you know it's just like just love to see him healthy wow another fast well if he's healthy he gives you another option leveraged situation in the seventh or the eighth that hurt yes it did no thank you it's been awesome want to know the count on your dan 24 years old too and that'll be a foul ball ali marmol 3-2 pitch and he walked him look at that ball run right there tame it and making sure that they get their just due to wear guys out i mean you take your time that's nasty there to catch your breath the new pitcher you know you don't hear them get the little things like hey good job on this or hey we're here long enough for that to happen so um another strikeout and then all the guys that come out of the bullpen are throwing harder max you know you're not paying them 10 12 million dollars anymore and so um and very few guys get the to base hit to right by corey lee very few guys get the it's your job go for it two pitch by helsley lined into center field and a base hit i mean harry's still out there and steps is alex deflect ball lifted into right catches made from second and third what a throw oh what a throw in fielder c and that might make him a guy that has a thought in it too along with having a good arm and um there's nothing worse and a swing and a miss so christian javier picks up stadium and sure i mean you might not your heart might not be into it 100 sometimes but you're definitely not going together a year like he had a season ago and this is his last three years have been with cleveland and he gets a strike i think that you to shallow right and the catch is made you start to take a different mentality where you make your pitch and the 3-2 pitch and the catch made that's delvins they can help infielders with others you know when you get guys that pay attention you get a guy like albert you get a guy like skip who's had to pull kind of goes more well and really finding what works for you all territory and the catch who's made for the second half training you know you get some young guys that come up and fill in and then i look at the year board and then i think that they're playing the shift on it hit the short and a force play at second i'm out i'll just donate the bat so i need a couple more at bats to try and get through the whole hour alvarez 2-0 hit the other way in a base hit for adolf she's in tremendous shape jimmy and it is off the wall and go to got him the strikeout is he elevated there the o2 and he got him good job by rodriguez to keep it in front game jimmy and this is where if he's not the d and a swing and a miss to start at the bottom of the ninth if guys just went home and and he chops it left side shift was on and donovan out by his step and there's two away moving around like that is not easy to do at any level and is swinging a miss and the ball game comes to a close burleson the strikeout and the astros hold on
