St. Barts to St. Martin | Bonanza G36 | Graphics Test | MSFS2020

good afternoon everybody Welcome to St Barts here doing some testing of uh the next big thing I want to share with you guys and boy do I like the way this looks right now I'm so hopeful the one thing that I can't get that I want to get is the is the correct or not a correct but uh there there's some Distortion in the water that I've been having that I cannot get rid of um and I'm really hoping it's it's going to go away but uh look how crisp and super uh clear this image is look at the the depth perception that you get behind the buildings and like it's it's just it's unbelievable cannot wait for you guys to to get your hands on this this is uh I'm not going to talk about it too too much um right in front of the fire truck uh rotating beacon on mixture and prop full forward master and Battery switches on fuel pump on crack the throttle make sure there's nobody outside to kill or maim and toes on the brakes engage the starter Good Start Magneto back to both throttle to 1,000 RPM check our oil pressure oil pressure is the only thing you really care about at this point because if you don't have oil pressure you're running an engine without oil yay uh oil pressure is good fuel pressure looking good turn the fuel pump off fuel pressure is okay fuel flow is okay we don't really have fuel pressure per se it's probably in one of the submenus on the uh on the uh G 1,000 nav strobe lights on Taxi lights on why did I just turn the avionics Master switches off that I can't answer for you um all right set the altimeter so this is like the Holy Grail of graphic settings this isn't performance stuff this is graphic stuff uh I'm going to lean the mixture for taxi and yeah I mean normally you know we're going to hit that truck with the wing but there nothing I can do about it so um and we're going to decapitate these two gentlemen there's nothing I can do about that either well there is but I just haven't done it sorry fellas you guys deserve better um same bars traffic uh Bonanza 36 mic Romeo tax and Runway 10 z v tax Alpha uh same parts so um I have been through everything and I mean everything to try to get exactly what I want out of this uh Graphics package um it's a setting basically and it's something that I had uh it was a viewer tip and I'm sure the viewer is going to watch and see this so uh perhaps not in this video but he he will realize on the next on the video when I actually share this what it is and how to do it he will certainly recognize himself his own suggestion and uh big thank you to him for that uh I do not see any traffic I do see some rain gosh look at those clouds look how beautiful they look all right so few pump on I'm going to put in a notch of flaps uh I don't see any traffic St Bart's traffic go bananza 36 micro departing oneway one Zer left downwind departure to the north same BS all right approach flaps set I don't know why they call them approach flaps just be no I mean they are approach flaps but they're also departure flaps um go mixture Rich the fuel pump noise is annoying you cannot hear a fuel pump on on a real airplane it's it's it's like it's the proverbial bug in the window you know it's like bug hitting a window of a car like you just don't hear it all right so what we're going to do is use every inch of this Runway All Right apply the brakes don't want to Dole here full power power looks good release the brakes Ruder to stay on Center Line the ruter is really really touchy on this airplane all right 73 and we rotate and gears coming up and we're making our left hand turn here to you make a turn to a heading of 060 coming out of St barel oh so far I'm loving what I'm seeing please please give me what I'm looking for please all 400 feet I'll bring the the uh RPMs back bring the manifold pressure back 2525 guys I think we might have done it I think we might have done it I'm going to cry this works I I can't tell you I've been working on this for days days to try to get the visuals that I'm looking for and to get rid of what I didn't want to see and I don't see there's this so the problem I was having was there was this wicked water Distortion and I don't see it now and it just looks [Music] unbelievable just looks unbelievable look at this all right before I crash let me uh know all right let me go back in the airplane here and actually fly it how was that for an idea all right gears up flaps are up fuel pump off uh I don't see the water Distortion guys I'm going to cry I'm seriously I thought there was I wasn't going to be able to get rid of it and you're just going to have to what I was basically going to do is be like okay well this is this is something you either have to live with or don't fly in water like areas with water which is all I do so it would have been pretty depressing to me um but I don't see it it was like this wicked distracting uh water Distortion and this just looks stunning look at this I mean look at the look at the clouds completely unpixelated basically I mean I'm sure if you went up to them they might might have a little pixelation [Music] but I mean look at this guys all right I'm going to I'm going to now now that I've gotten this looking like this I'm going to I'm going to put the video together and share this with you guys I don't want to share too much because the whole point of this is just some testing and and I'll share the whole the whole fun with you um but it's uh it's more I don't know you know so in the video that I did did about DLS I called it AI I'm not sure if it's I'm not sure if Ai and machine learning are the same things I think they pretty much are but this is another machine learning technique that is combined with dlss to give you I mean this is just this is absolutely breathtaking visuals as far as I'm concerned so I'm on a 2K monitors the 2K system you will notice that the video is in 4k uh Grand cast traffics uh bananza 36 mic Romeo 10 mil to the South inbound left downwind for Runway one two rank house um so so yeah that's as much as I'm going to give you right now um I can never get this I can never get the Aeron trim on this balanced um so here's the gorgeous island of St [Music] Martin my I think my next Caribbean trip is going to be actually right exactly where we're going as a matter of fact we're going to gr C on the French side so if you buy this the princess so there's the freear Princess Juliana version right um for Microsoft and a Soo I did a review of both on my channel there's a freeware and there's a payware I did a review of both and there's nothing wrong with the fre version it really isn't Grand cast traffics uh Bonanza 36 mic Romeo crossing crossing the departure uh end of Runway one two at 1500 ft Northbound Grand cast if you're ever flying so the departure is coming this way you ever fly uh you know past the departure end of a runway for so you really shouldn't but if you do you should always announce on the radio that you're doing it because if somebody's taking off you might make a a hood ornament particularly if it's something like a jet all props to 2100 manifold pressure back to about 18 [Music] um and anyway uh yeah I think this is going to be my next Caribbean trip is the grand cost it's I'm had so much fun in guadaloop and I don't know what the deal is but um guadaloop was so cheap compared to the rest of the Caribbean I mean really cheap and uh if you notice that there's some there might be a little bit of stuttering that I saw right there and the reason if that were the case is that I am pumping my graphics card basically as hard as it'll go that right in there this little Cove in here just off the wing tip that's the first place I ever put my feet in the Caribbean and it was in uh about 2000 I don't know about what was it 2013 grast traffic bananza 36 mic Romeo left down Runway one two grast and I'd never really been we were going to angua which is right there and I had never been to the Caribbean I wasn't interested in the Caribbean I'm not a beach guy I'm not an ocean guy I like Rivers uh not a beach guy as soon as my feet hit those Waters all I could think of was what have you been missing in your life why why have you not done this sooner all right go gear down flaps full turn base Grand cast traffic Bonanza 36 mic Romeo turning uh about a three my left base for one two Rost go fuel pump on definitely don't want to be dropping at 1,000 ft a minute here I mean that's not what we want to do prop forward here I don't know and it's always better to turn in too early than too late you guys know this cuz you are good aviators going back just a little bit gr cast traffic Ban's a 36 mic Romeo turning a 3 m final12 Grand cast this is not a three M final by the way all right so let's get some trim in here why you want to turn in too early rather than too late is because if you turn in too late and you're trying to yank the nose around some one of the tenden these people have is to use the inside rudder try and ease the nose around and that is a perfect way as my alarm goes off that is a perfect way to cross control the airplane and if you get slow install it cross control that low altitude you are done for so let's see if I can make a crosswind landing in the Bonanza here because so far this video has G pretty well I definitely got to bring some power out here cuz we're coming in we got plenty of energy oopsy ah that wasn't great but it wasn't horrible either once you get into that red Arc there where you're not going to be flying anymore you can you can uh haul back on the Yol and use some aerodynamic braking um lean the mixture for taxi fuel pump off boy it's hard to miss the fuel pump being on in this airplane isn't it holy cow um I was going to say earlier I never finished my uh my statement if you buy grast traffic Bonanza 36 mic Romeo clear the runway grast if you buy the paid version of Princess Juliana Airport I forget who put it out um but if you buy it you also get this airport which that looks like the helicopter uh the helipad so I want to come over here to this gentleman uh you also get to this airport which is Grand cast which is on the French side of St Martin and it is a it's one of the really that's uh what is it FS realistic Pro I didn't realize people sneeze like on a regular basis but I guess they do um you also get this airport which is gr KAS on the French side of St Martin which is one of the coolest GA air uh airports in the Caribbean and it's a great approach it's it's uh all right we'll apply the brakes mixture to idle cut off engage the parking brake we'll put our flaps up should have done that a while ago um avionx master and master and battery off before you turn the mags off because you don't want to blow the screens and yeah I could have turned my lights off as well I didn't um this is one of the coolest GA airports in the Caribbean and uh I don't know why I I guess maybe I'm trimmed all the way up anyway um this is a really fun little airport and if you want to have you want to really have a challenge fly in and out of here with the uh with the ATR cuz this is the only commercial airport in the world where they actually bu taxi out here turn around and then back up because the ATR can literally can go in reverse and they literally back up to use every inch of this Runway um so the good news I mean look at look at the depth you get along this Ridge and just the coverage of everything um you know the the tree coverage and uh I mean no aliasing no I mean there's a little bit of like weirdness here in the lines and stuff but uh but this is uh a really cool little airport um so if you if you bought Princess Juliana fly over here you really should um and now that I have tried out this technique and I have found look at those clouds look how spectacular those clouds look uh uh and I don't I don't I mean I just made like probably like four or five Graphics changes right now so I don't know which one of them necessarily got rid of the water junk that I was seeing and it may just be that the water was a little bit more choppy today so there it was a little bit flatter yesterday so maybe you just don't see it as much when it's choppy but I don't think so cuz I didn't see any of it and uh it it just it was driving me nuts so um yeah this is the next big thing that I'm going to be sharing with you guys in the next uh day or so and I thank you for tuning in and uh we will be back shortly with that okay take care guys
