so hey guys this is [Music] site for those who are new to my channel my name is simin and I'm a student at srcc I'm shooting in the campus right now and this video is as the thumbnail suggests the most awaited video about the CU scores and C strategies steps especially shared by RCC students it's helps me a lot he is very available not available but very much grateful to have okay Naman Jalan and I'm pursuing bcom owners hello everyone my name is Manan Jen and I'm pursuing economics honors and I had Commerce with maths as plus two so hi everybody my name is suad and I'm studying bcom honors at srcc hello everyone this is pratique I'm pursuing Eco honors from sham College of Commerce and I had the humanities with maths in my plus two hi everyone my name is a uh I'm currently pursuing bcom honors from sham College of Commerce okay hello my name is amanu yadav I'm pursuing economics honors at srcc and I to had Humanities with maths uh in 12th so my C score post normalization was 787 my raw score was 794 uh my C score was uh 786 in the top four so it 786 uh so I had got 789 out of 800 so can you guys please share what were your subject combination because we have students from Humanities background okay so I want you to share what were your subject combination specifically okay firstly like for BA economics honors maths is compulsory I had political science economics and geography so and English is as compulsory see for bom owners you basically need your Three core subjects which are eobc accounts plus English so that was what I majorly focused on so I I took the six subjects uh economics business studies uh accountancy uh GT maths and English yeah so I'm from Commerce with maths so I had math and English compulsory otherwise I had the option of accounts economics and business studies so I had my best to as accounts and economics well I opted for uh English economics business studies and accountancy uh I had English and math compulsory subjects and then I had economics and geography anyone of you appeared for their General test yes on what basis like do you wanted some kind of backup options or you were actually manifesting to get any other course in any other college for me c was the only Target that I had so like General test was a time pass for me like I was sleeping in that exam yeah so General test is basically to open more options for you and basically if you want to Target high colleges Shahid sugd is a very good option after giving General test so I had that as a backup option for srcc yeah same thing just to diversify the options Shah shev bhu and jnu also accepts those marks if you want to do a course in language and all jnu you can look for it so you have to take that General test yes I did give General test but I did not prepare specifically because you require General test either for MTI by uh the management courses from Mumbai or if you are specifically aiming for Shahid sugd my first preference was always srcc so my major Focus was on maths English and the other three core subjects I did attempt uh General test and my score was uh in terms of percentile it was around 99.4 in general test I think because my GK was never that good and especially in my uh in my particular slot there was a lot of static gks so I think we did have an advantage of normalization because our slot was a bit tougher apart from that the questions in general test in terms of theory and English or logical reasoning are very simple and if you're B if you're preparing for ipat or any other competitive examination such as npad then I think that would cover you so I don't really think that you need to focus that much on General test and if you really want to do focus on it then focus on your Gan strategy so what was your like predetermined mind why didn't you appear for General test because of course we had a lot of peer pressure or uh k uh a lot of Institute were recommending to take General test to open up your backup options right y so yeah so from the starting uh I always wanted to pursue something like economic economics honor or bom honor so I opted for maths as a additional subject and I didn't really thought of doing BMS or BB FIA so that is the basic reason why I nice it isn't required to take GT uh in srcc so I took just took at it as a backup so that if I don't score well in so I can keep my options open what were your preparation duration and from when did you actually start it was it correspondingly with your board exams or after your board exams or from the very beginning of 12th class no for me I had the preparation period of 4 2 or 3 months after my board exams because like like uh I didn't knew that I would be going for CVT I had other plans as well so like that three period month was like a very like hustle bustle for me me for English I was like not like I was not prepared at all I tra like when I was traveling to my Center so that period of 2 hours was the only preparation time for me for English and that's easy hour English it's very easy simple basic Language basic grammar and all and for maths like I focused everything ncrt other reference books guides because you know okay so wait wait wait before you move on and continue hearing insights from your seniors itself what was my strategy so I'm here to share who was my budy throughout my C preparation that was none other than du bu itself you know what Kos to all of you guys because du 2023 C exam papers slots like literally they are all available on their application itself so hurry up and download the app so as soon as you open the application on your device you'll find C pyqs and there's no subject that it has missed out 29th May was my slot and that examination paper is also available you can just go through it and see I personally went through the mock papers and I seriously want to recommend all of you guys to purchase it because there is no better option to attempt the original papers itself also don't forget to use my code which is given in the description itself just of course and all the best for your preparation continue watching okay so once my board examinations got over I was really fed up of all my studies so I had my faval after 10 days so I didn't study anything till then after that I studied hard for like a month and I think the ma major proportion of my studies was related to English and Mathematics because I was also aiming for Eco owners at that time I did not study that much for my core subjects because I had already prepared well for boards and I think that if you really want to prepare well for your Co subjects just make sure that you study well for boards and just solve two or three books and some more question papers and I think that would be enough okay so properly I started preparing for C after the boards only I did not uh do anything before the boards I just studied for my class 12th exams and preparation strategy was just like uh reading the ncrt or the books required in class 12th nothing extra yeah so I think preparation for CV is very generic and it begins the moment you start 11th class for Commerce with maths U because if you look at the subjects of accountancy and economics both of them have a large number of questions and Concepts from class 11th itself so basically just keep PR practicing mcqs and short answer type that is sufficient for CVT and apart from that just practice mock papers nothing else is required well uh I will not say that I started from beginning but uh yeah I'll say that uh at the you know the holidays in between 12th your Bo your board exams and C yeah so that's where I prepared mostly and from starting I you know from the mid 12 I started uh my English preparation basically okay I started preparing for CVT uh just after 12th but yes after my board's exam I completely focused on mathematics I was putting 70 to 80% of my time in maths yeah that's and how much did you scor in maths actually in maths I got the lowest score I scored around something 170 or something like that okay so was it due to the normalized thing or your draw score was good no actually it was I wasn't good in maths to be 100% honest I failed in my pre-o and that's a motivational thing so if you work you can score well in CVT even if you're not so good in maths like me nice fraque okay just to add for maths I my score was like around 150 because it was the mistake of the center my PC got crashed so I couldn't attempt all the questions and I had a pretty good score for other subjects like 195 plus I had but for maths like that was the breakdown for me mat with so like time management there are 15 compulsory question and other 25 buffer questions like first you need to focus on the first 15 because they are very important for like you can't get they also have negative marking and they're compulsory okay so I would like to know about the mocks you actually kept uh so first of all tell me like of course we never count how much mocks we gave what's the rough idea of how many mocks you attempted like overall or subject wise okay so this is is going to sound surprising I did not do any mocks before Co I only solved books and I know that everyone does suggest you do mocks and I would also suggest the same my strategy was not really good to be honest but I think just because I I solved a lot of question papers during boards which included a lot of mcqs my course in terms of mcqs was actually covered for so that is why I did not need to solve those many mocks but I wouldn't suggest you to follow that please do solve mocks because it actually gives you an idea of how many questions you want to attempt and it actually enhances your time management skill one reason that I did not need to give marks was also because I Was preparing for uh different competitive examinations side by side for example IPM and I had given sad previously so that is why I had an idea of how to attempt competitive examinations and that is why I did not need to give as many marks so but do not follow that strategy do give marks after you complete your course uh 10 marks 10 marks of each subject uh yeah a proper mock of all the uh subject combinations right so you used to give a serious settings or it was like normal it was normal I did not uh take too much tension regarding the mock or the score in the mock I just uh took them to know the format of the exams and how I need to manage my time subjectwise I appeared for at least uh 9 to 10 because I had been taking supplementary support for this as well so I had a good source of the marks as well well I refer to around 10 to 12 marks yeah some of them were online some of them were again some booklets that are in the market so yeah around 10 to 12 for subject mean like we get official marks from the site cut website and apart from that I purchased o oswal book and guides other guides like not any other like time constrained marks I hadn't given as far as marks are concerned I didn't take any mocks apart from Maths for mathematics I took a mock each day for I mean for the before 14 days of the exam so two weeks before the exam I did a mock each day one advice that you would like to give uh to all those students who are preparing for CU 2024 just one advice that something you felt you experienced and you don't want them to repeat that okay first thing like never lose hope because the the moment you lose hope the confidence you had and like be confident for everything like dedicated you don't have confidence lacking near talk to your parents enough that will give you an enough buildup and be like committed studies because like ncrt I would say because ncrt as man mentioned as important because there are very different things like reading to reading so go for ncrt just chill man because I think CUV in in the case of C there is no guarantee right because if I talk about this year if you belong to General category so only those people got admission uh that made only one mistake out of all the four subjects right and then because the scores were normalized and whatever happened happened so I think that you can only get in because the examination is not that tough right so you get in only if your raw score is 800 or 794 or 788 if you're the luckiest and since for your upcoming batch the number of students is actually going to increase my major suggestion would be try to score full in all subjects because uh because then the other person does not have the agency to normalize your score even if you make one mistake then that person can normalize your score based on other people's performance so that would be my suggestion just make sure that you score full in all subjects and you can happen and just don't be sad if you don't get in because trust me there's always some kind of luck involved I consider myself lucky to be here and that's it guys just work hard and leave the rest to go yeah so the one piece of advice would be that don't take C very like it's a really hard exam it's one of the easiest exams you will ever face if you have been able to do your normal school exams at a good Pace I don't think you even need any supplementary support for CV unless it is for uh some material that you are not able to find other than that I think C is a very easy exam and you can crack it only if you are able to read the textbooks thoroughly it's basically McQ type exam so the one advice I would give is to uh make make your concept strong because it's not like we have to write something so and one is uh manage your time wisely because the time limit would be there so we have to manage our time and just make your concept strong so that mcqs can be asked from anywhere so making the concept strong is the key just stud for the 12th very thoroughly just focus on your boots and c will it will manage so I would say just aim for accuracy my accuracy will get you here [Music] don't
