have written down things that both of you should improve on okay okay first and the most easy way to improve is you both did not hit your starting boost do you guys know whoever answers this first who what number do you hold down a in the beginning two okay specifically can you get more specific onto when it right when it hits at the end of two or at the end of two very good Ray one gold star to you excellent when the two is like slowly fading away you start holding down a um so that's one thing that I would say second thing I'll go into which is a little more Technical and specific is when to drift so much of this game is knowing each every map and when to start your drift um do you guys know the different colors of Sparks and what they represent yes go ahead blue gold sorry you go well there's three different colors of Sparks and the longer you hold it the faster the drift or when you release it the speed the faster the speed the length of the speed true so semi correct but essentially as soon like it's blue gold and then purple purple boost means you'll have a a longer sustaining boost so you want to try to get to purple Sparks um so that's the one thing I would say is try to because none of you guys really hit a big drift do you know what I mean that's like a free semi mushroom you know it'll help you gain Advantage F and if you're behind start drifting around corners and use those boosts you'll eventually catch up so that's that's extremely important now do another race with those two things in mind and we'll see who's able to learn on the fly but I have the better it is is cuz it's all about speed so like if you see like often times in these courses the outside Loop has three coins and the inside loop has two always go to get 10 that's your priority with your drifting like the the drifting looks great it looks so good like you're not touching walls you're being careful you know in the your first race I don't know if it was utsy or not but you guys were touching like every single wall which was slowing you down great job both of you had a okay so I'd say that's probably another star for us huh nope nope I'm the one that decides Stars okay got it that's fine really good stuff one thing that I would say to both of you is you'll cap yourself like on the um grass and I would say save your mushrooms to cut corners like a massive amount of Corners you guys are using your mushrooms kind of willy-nilly but on a big turn if you can see like there's like some landscape boost through it till the end it's really really important like in the water on this map yes exactly like in the water or if you're cutting a corner CU you can like save so much time per on your lap time by doing that um so this time this time the goal is to boost on every single jump every jump okay on every jump every jump do not miss a boost okay good job both of you first jump you Bo it and like there's a very low punishment if you miss the Boost so always go for like the Boost during every jump you just do a little hop okay okay does the water slow you down on map yes yes oh it does I think so I think so but not too much so you can see right now Ray's in a great position because Ray has seven stars or seven coins um so Ray prioritized coins now nine so like that's one thing so those boosts are important for coins f it was tough for you but uh because down stay on that's where you would use a mushroom like if you have a mushroom you could boost through it the things that slow you down exactly the stream both your streams just crashed on my screen uh if you're in first place and this is important write this down if you're in first place you always want a defensive item uh Ray can you name some defensive items yes sir um in any of the shells a banana oh oh my favorite is um the the speaker because when you get blue shell you can use the speaker to break the shell yes and there's one more defensive item the bomb the bomb that's right who the bomb is a defensive item and it at the very high levels a mushroom can be a defensive item as well there's a way to boost out of getting hit with a blue shell using a mushroom so that's also a good answer so here's what I will say when you're in first place you want to hold it behind you you guys know how to hold an item behind you right yes kind of always always because that's like you're so prone to getting hit by a shell so always hold items behind you in first place it's extremely important um okay okay is a star defensive item a star is a defensive item but the way this game works is you'll never get a star in first place oh got it got it got it got it got it got it the way there's no Bullet Bill up here Leslie yeah there's no Bullet Bill no that would be sick being toxic being toxic so hold a earlier here on the Boost I want you guys to hit like the good boost one two there's shortcuts on this map right yes oh I think Ray hit the the Boost what you took all my coins what do you mean yeah that's it allor right that's first place for second place H okay hold the item behind me so this is a perfect Ray you just hit a a great drift that was a purple drift really than really good perfect drift perfect so good job on these turns you can use the mushroom to go behind the piranha plants there as well okay okay you know what I mean so like find ways in the map and a lot of it is just map knowledge uh find ways in the map to uh cut Corners if you have a uh mushroom okay I feel like that's important really important but in terms of like most important the number one thing is do not hit the walls yeah if it means don't use a mushroom or something like that's the most important what's this boombot for the boombot yeah which one's the oh my God wait good try with the mushroom you have to use it like right before you go uh off the Jump by the way uh right before okay so you cannot do that without a boost that no you cannot do that jump without a boost but I respect were talking about the red the red speaker okay so that stops that gives like a shock radius around you so if there's a shell coming or a blue shell or something like you can click that speaker and it'll uh it'll basically destroy the shells if they're in your close vicinity what does star power do exactly it makes you invincible from any like attacking damage and it gives you it makes you go faster so you can't you can run into bananas without like punishment or get hit with a shell without punishment as well it just makes you invincible except you can still like fall off the map got it yeah good good racing good question yeah the map is very tough because it's extremely turn dependent yeah I'm like drifting the whole map yeah that's what makes it like a really good practice map Yoshi's uh circuit really good I hit every wall that's okay I want you both to hit that map again I want you to do it again okay yeah I agree I agree I agree because I want you to get used to it mushroom is faster it's like just a just the laws of Mario Kart as like getting the mushroom and using it right away is like a loose Mushroom on the floor or like getting a mushroom I mean what happens with if you have a loose mushroom do you just it insta uses it it insta uses it if you drive over it so it could like on Rainbow ride if you drive over a mushroom and just before a turn it could send you flying so it's not necessarily a good thing okay loose and how do loose mushrooms form um so they form like there's certain map dependent things or if you get hit by lightning or something you can drop a mushroom um but usually it's like environmental like if you hit like there's this map where if you hit like a leaf thing it spits out a mushroom behind you these are just like C catchup Mech mechanics basically but yeah so don't don't worry too much about that but often times you will see like a loose mushroom if you're in you know this the six Place Plus and say you said
