#SpotlightLE: The People of Lake Elsinore

I think Lake Elsinore is special because we have a beautiful Lake we have beautiful Elsinore mountains around us and Hills you've got a lot of shopping the outlet mall you also have Minor League Baseball a lot of off-roading and just extreme type Sports there's just so much personality and it's just so beautiful and and there's just really nothing else like it I just have so much like all we were talking about was how much potential Lake Elsinore has Lake Elsinore is an asset to the city and that it brings more outside people into this community whether it's through tourism is really is helping our area grow so the role of the water district is to continue that partnership with Lake Elsinore we want to make sure that we continue to have clean water so that way our community can enjoy the lake [Music] Council here in lake elsiner has been extremely receptive to all different kinds of businesses moving into Lake Elsinore and I think that the city staff led by the city manager has done a fantastic job in terms of taking those priorities for the city and creating this environment that business developers like myself want to come to Lake Elsinore Lego Center is a great place to start your own business because of the people and how I think everyone's so supporting here everyone is willing to like promote each other what makes it special is how how much we're evolving now especially since I feel like there's so many people here that are starting to build their own businesses so it's just it's very cool to see us like evolving a lot like we evolved so much this year [Music] [Applause] yeah foreign I love Main Street because of its potential I love that it's growing and new businesses are constantly being started here and I just see that within a few years I just know it's going to be a place that people want to come we've got an opportunity to start Bloom um it was something we really felt the city needed and it's been a huge learning process it's been a wonderful experience and we've had so much support from the city and all of the people that live in here they've just been such a huge support for us my main concern is that we can keep our historical buildings Our Heritage a couple years ago we did get a historic preservation or ordinance and in fact we just need to pursue it and get it going to save our buildings what we have left what I like most about Lake Elsinore is I really like there's a sense of community here whether it's just different events that they have out and about I feel like they really do a great job of bringing everyone together who live here [Music] what makes Lake Elsinore special to me is I started my career here in 1998 and I've worked just about every rank within the city for the fire department when I first started here the only fire station in the city was the downtown Lake Elsinore station off of Graham Street and since then we now have four total fire stations to provide Public Safety for all of that growth so what makes me excited about the future of the City of Lake Elsinore is the support that we've received from not only the city council but the the citizens within the city in support of measure Z and that Public Safety is a priority major Z has uh has it's been a great great thing for the city so far we've been able to increase our staffing levels traffic enforcement as well as we just added a Parks Deputy it's allowed us to staff a paramedic Squad at the downtown fire station hoping to reduce our response times and serve the citizens in the downtown area [Music] the community of Lake Elsinore loves Lake Elsinore and I think that's something when you're building a school system when you have the entire Community behind you we can do some special things so every place I've gone I've heard my grandparents my parents my family we love and it's all built around this history so I think you've seen some development but it's never a loss that that caring kind place where everyone wants to see those that are in Lake Elsinore be successful the community and the school district when we work in unison we then provide the best opportunity for our families and our students to move forward meaning how do we provide before school programs and after school programs how do we partner with a city to build that connection how do we give a place for our teams to be involved and we're already seeing that Synergy happen that's allowing our district and City to partner together to provide better spaces for students [Music] the gosner's future really is about entertainment and their dream extreme tag there's you know the outdoor entertainment by way of water sports there's the off-road there is camping there's watching a ball game or seeing a concert what other City can you go to to where you can see all of that subscribed into the first baseman Louise up with it flips over to Monday at the lake house of her score 66ers tonight at the time of his Lake Elsinore terrific having the ability not just to live in Lake Elsinore but to work in Lake Elsinore and Franklin to be entertained in Lake Elsinore is a real plus and so by having the stadium here and for having us having the ability working with the city as a partner to activate it for other than baseball is a great Plus for us for the city and for the citizens that are that are here and the more we come together and work together as you know venue operators in the city and the mayor and the Chamber and the community I mean there's no stop in what we have here I think we have a great mayor and city council um I've always said that from the very beginning I really want to thank the mayor and the city council for bringing great partners of ours I've been working with the mayor for the last year and it has been truly a pleasure to work with him as well as the city council they're very welcoming of the water district thank you for always supporting the small businesses down on Main Street we're just really thankful and grateful to be able to have our business here in Lake Elsinore I would like to thank the mayor and the city council for their support of Public Safety I just want to thank you for always being so supportive of law enforcement and actually the citizens of Lake Elsinore also but but the city council has always been so so supportive on behalf of our entire governance team to the entire city thank you thank you for continuing to come alongside of us without our Board of Trustees without the city council without our teachers without our classified staff without our principals we would not be able to build this partnership and it takes all of us so as we look to moving forward it's going to take all moving parts to put our school district back into the spotlight to put our students back at the Forefront and partnering with our city to go forward so thank you and thank you for the commitment to our students [Music]
