Spit pork roast on the Bunnings 15kg spit roaster

hey there guys hey young so we got family coming over the perfect day to have a rotisserie pork roast the first time using the rotisserie spit that we've got to 15 kilo one from Bunnings unfortunately it is raining today so we're gonna have to do it on the cover that's all good so we've got it set up and we'll have a look at it so this is the rotisserie spit I've actually hard about a couple times before even got the chance to use it myself so it's pretty cool paid it off already so all it is is a 240 volt motor straight on to the spit here it's got a couple of these paws that hold on the meat they put on either side there's a grate that goes on top so you can grow some stuff at the same time so so now I've got this set up is we've actually got a couple of fire starters in the center here I use the others easiest cheap jiffy foil otters they seem to work alright they get a bit of a smell but not too bad so I've just got the charcoals all stacked on top usually I'd use a chimney but thought this would be easy away this time so soon we'll start prepping the meat we'll put it on the spit and once the temperatures right with the heat beads we will put the spit on that way I was taking a little bit long so we ended up using the chimney anyways this is the same chimney that I use for the big smoker where Artie so we got the rotisserie going now so this is just a small roast on but it can fit up to fifteen kilos so what we've done is we've dried it off a little bit and we've put salt all over the skin so hopefully we get very nice crackling we've set this in the second position and I tell you set it on the other side just with the removable pins here and you slide it up and down and put your PIN in for the height that you like we've got plenty of heat coming from heat beads I've got some more so if we need them we'll put them on I'm not quite sure how long this one's gonna take but hopefully further in about three hours the spit-roast looking pretty good now we're just trying to get the capital to come up now so what we're doing to get the cackle perfect is we're just turning off and on the rotisserie for a little bit trying to rotate it so that the most heat gets that area for a little bit of time that way it pops up a little bit as you can see that some pretty good crackles well our pill crush definitely looks like it's done I've done an internal temperature read and it's reading 150 Fahrenheit so let's pull this one off be very careful these will turn be very careful this is very hot preferably wait gloves or something like that there we go looks very nice we're going to let that rest for ten minutes now and then we'll we'll cut it up and serve it up well crackling and quite work out how we planned but that's all right the meat will taste absolutely amazing well thanks for watching guys very much appreciate it give you a like comment subscribe I'll see you again soon I hope you guys enjoy the cooking ones I'll keep chucking them out there chuck in the comments if you enjoy it guys I absolutely love making the cooking ones really enjoy it so stay tuned guys and I'll see you again soon
