Spinning for WILD River trout! (spring Fishing)

all right what is going on guys so today is the first day of trout season for me anyway i know a few places have it's been open for like two or three weeks but where i live the first day of trout season is the 25th of march so we're out here 10 past six in the morning i'm gonna try catching trout now not sure how it's gonna go but um yeah we're gonna give it a good go we've got all day hopefully it doesn't take all day but we've got all day if it needs to so yeah i fished this river before and i think i caught like two trials i didn't do that well but hopefully with being the first day of the season it'll be a bit easier but we'll see gonna probably just start with spinners i've got a few jet baits soft baits and stuff like that but um yeah we'll see how it goes hopefully get some trout probably not gonna put my waders on for this first bit but if i'm not getting anything i'll have to so yeah i'm gonna get rigged up tied on and get some trout car hopefully right guys at the river and it's looking pretty nice got a size two seven gear spinner to start things off pretty basic trout worth yeah let's try to get the first part of the aircraft not sure how easy it's gonna be i think i'm just gonna try to cover as much water as i can with a spinner to start off firm until i catch a trout or at least get a hit so i know that the feeding can't go wrong with a spinner as a search bar that's a snag maybe not this exact spinner there goes first well then probably going to change stretches of river soon this is yeah i know there's trout here but it just seems too slow i'd rather be fishing somewhere a bit faster water to be there okay a bit easier to think about where the trout are gonna be stacked up probably have 10 more minutes here and then i'll move all right guys just drove up to a new stretch of river uh the same river but it's a new stretch it's a lot more narrow and windy it's like perfect for trout really so we're gonna walk up as far as we can get and then wade back down so yeah we'll see how that goes i've caught try this stretch before as well so 100 sure that they're here oh yeah i've got a jet bait still on now i might leave that one for a little bit before i go back to a spinner but sun's out so we want something bright and flashy from oh yeah keep walking up and then we'll wait back down see uh if we can make it happen today hopefully all right i've been fishing with this jerk for quite a while now not a touch on it fish some nice pools like this without anything as well so i think unless it's just spinner something i've just got loads of confidence in the trout uh definitely could catch on this but it seems i just want to get a fish a trout for the first day of the season i'm gonna uh find a spinner on so it goes i do feel pretty confident in this to be fair but probably saying 90 of the trout i've ever caught i've been on spinners so um i might as well stick with water now [Applause] nice gold one oh yeah that's looking real nice that's going to get me a trout today confidence has doubled oh no i just got i just got whacked straight away straight away with the spin i got whacked i missed it but i got a hit that was definitely a trout as well not followed it i might take it again trying to get cast into the right place okay first hit out of the way then like second cast after putting a spinner on perfect i knew they were here this pole just looks too good ah quite fast a bit too sharp oh shout just roll there okay first one i've seen moving i had one here and i'm just in that one moving first one i've actually seen [Applause] [Applause] there's one yes yes so just watch that climb smash it that was so cool first trout this season come on man [Applause] yes first brownie of the season look at that beauty it's not as smart as i expected it to be as well well after that oh yes very happy with that one let's quickly get it put back see you bro yes right in the shallow water i watched it swoop out and smash it oh mission accomplice first trout of the 2021 trout season i was cool as i'm so after that not the biggest track you've ever seen but from a little stream like this that not so long ago was polluted awesome awesome trout stoked on that oh just got whacked again just got whacked again that felt bad that pretty much the same spot oh teasing me bro yes first trout literally five minutes after putting spinner back on it's always killer front especially you know when sun's out nice little gold spin i think this is a size 2 70 gear rotex so yeah not a tiny spinner well it's not massive these trowel i had three one fish landed in two other hits so yeah that's good going in my eyes second one right here it's not coming back anyway i'll keep moving on well after that i was i was like not 100 sure i was gonna catch any today just you know it being the first day of season and everything but yes we got one hopefully get a few more now quite a bit more water to go through so yeah i'm happy [Applause] seems to be sitting right in the flow as well which is kind of standard to this [Applause] it's where we'll focus right where i wanted to expect it to throw out and snug i don't really want to go over there because i'll scoop it might just break it off and then go grab after yeah rather than risk spooking some trout that might be there all right just got re-tied copper spinner because i've run out of gold well we're going to grab that one as soon as i fish this hole it's too good to wade over and waste it just looks bang on for one there's one told you yes not exactly in the hole but i was like right in the middle little guy [Applause] yes second trout let's let some line out get that on the bank wet man before i grab this guy there we go lovely little trout tiny it's absolutely nailed that spinner though [Applause] touch me two little miles spinners out anyway lovely little trout a little beauty just got back there we go dropped my rod in water but it's all good um oh actually i cut my spinner off and i'm unhooking it but second trout done i'm glad i decided to break off rather than point out snag them smaller outputs all right guys i'm done for the day it's only half 11 but i fished like five hours well quite a lot of driving in between to be fair but yeah five hours-ish three spots um covered a lot of water i only had two trout but you know i i'm not near any like really good trout spots so fingers crossed soon i'll travel to some and uh yeah we'll get some better days but yeah i'm up here i've got two trout open day so yeah at least we
