Whats up? It's Spencer Nuzzi. It's another great sunny day in LA. I thought I'd do something different today and show you my local park. We're in Boyle Heights right now at the Hollenbeck Skate Park. It's my local park. I live in downtown. It's the closest thing to me. So, I'm always here most mornings. Usually, no one's here, but right now it's kinda crowded. I've never been here with this many people. I swear to you it's just me and three dudes. That's it. Usually, I warm up with just skating the curbs. There's a few little curbs off the side of the ledge. I don't know why they're the best warmup things in here, but they're curbs. Why wouldn't they be? They're really tiny and really janky. One of them's not even really waxed up, but I still like how to manage to skate it. I feel like people always look at me like I'm crazy because I'm skating on these terrible curbs and there are metal ledges that do grind. What can I say? I'm just a sucker for curbs. And ledges. My favorite things here? I guess, the curbs and the ledges. There's not much here, really. There's just a bunch of ledges. There's flat-bars and some angle-pads. We don't have training, but we do have a kicker-ramp. It's like a bank though. It's not a curvy one either so it's limited training. So, you gotta do what you can here. It's not much, but you can do something with it. I don't know, it' still fun though. Oh, they are really waxed! I never deal with wax ledges. They're always so slippery. It's nuts. I don't have to worry about anything. The worst things at the park? Well, the ground sucks! The ground after the launch ramp-- it's like a cheese grater! I'm scared to even skate it, because if you do land on it you have to at least clear it because if you land on it, it's like death. So, no thank you. The only thing that sucks about this skate park is that they're both square rails. I think there should be just one circle rail. And, whose idea was it to put it on a curb? It kind of looks like a street spot. I'll still skate it. I don't know. I kinda like skating everything. That's why each day I'll find something fun to skate, like the ledges or the rail, or a curb or something. It is limited. There's no tranny. Everytime I do come here, it is weird how I do find something to learn or something to push myself on. Even though it is just a few ledges and an angle-pad on a rail But, it's really all I need to skate. So, that was it for today. Thanks for coming to visit me and seeing my local park. Hope you had fun, because I had fun. Catch more videos of me on RIDE. Leave a comment. Let me know what you thought. And, if you're in the area, might as well stop by. Maybe we'll catch a slush together. 'Til next time.
