Spearfishing off the Cliffs of Rota, CNMI {Catch Clean Cook}

[Music] what is going on happy people I'm Robert Arrington this is dear me for dinner and we are on Rhoda that island back there is known as the wedding cake and it's like the signature landmark here in Rhoda words don't really describe how beautiful the water is this place is just absolutely 100% magical no joke we're about to go right down there and go spearfishing you guys hang on tight all right you guys so we got to climb down this rock face look how pretty this is are you kidding me climbing down the rocks is like a big part of the adventure yeah we made it I just stuck a stick in my foot you ready [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] I mounted the I mounted the GoPro right on top of the spear gun and I keep like trying to look around and I can't aim properly it's driving me crazy [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] they're so big shark swimming around and PK has a face ironic weight [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] getting in and out of the water is like a full-on mission here this is crazy these rocks are so sharp Oh like a seal you're like a sea lion dude this is so crazy totally epic I just can't say how stoked I am let's knock the sides off these because we're gonna do a little dish right here on the edge of the cliff full-on like island style we don't need that much so I'm just going to show you how to clean just what you need off a fish that's a neon blue trevally and it should be delicious follow that backbone right up just like that meat goes all the way into the head there follow your lateral line right down look at that meat now item I don't want a fillet both sides because this is all I want to use right now at this time so when you throw them in the cooler and then we're gonna clean half of this parrotfish pretty little fish great to eat look at the meat on that rascal look at that perfect we're gonna make a little traditional sashimi dish take one of these fillets split it right down the middle just like that then then we're gonna make nice little slices nice and thin already so now we have all our fish diced up into nice little chunks we'll set it in the cooler so the Flies don't land on it and let's keep on rollin y'all take some good sour orange take this fresh orange sour orange sour lime I wish you could smell how good this is now we'll take some soy sauce then we're gonna take some hot pepper [Music] let's mix this up oh my gosh perfect garlic okay so this little ginger root and you just sort of cut it into a square like that and then peel it I like to have about the same amount of ginger as I do garlic if you have too much garlic it's overpowering if you have too much ginger it's overpowering ooh and now we're gonna put in a little purple or red onion [Music] a little gravy [Music] now I want to take a bite but I want PK to take the first bite [Music] hmm [Music] let's taste like [Music] they split perfect [Music] that's the flavor of the sea right there [Music] we went out spearfishing got exactly what we need is we weren't out there to spear a bunch of fish we were out there to have a good time and see we saw so many sharks and free fish and job fishings you name it we saw it we had a great time I was lucky enough to get a nice parrotfish and a beautiful trevally come up here in the rocks and make a delicious I don't even know what you want to call this but it's good hmm are you guys so we were actually just about to finish the video and we were heading back and we just ran into a bunch of fans now these guys are CBS our Navy guys congratulations man so there was a huge typhoon hit this island about eight weeks ago and I destroyed a lot of it and we're gonna let these guys taste the fish and tell y'all honestly what they think that's awesome good stuff man yeah so where are you from Georgia well part Jekyll Island oh right on there good deal we have a place of Blackshear Georgia Black Sea awesome yeah where you from you like that I'm from Indiana good work interval what's your name Cameron you like that it's good I like it I can tell y'all right now he did not want to taste it because he knew it wasn't good he's a yeah yeah so real good and what's your name Brad Brad where you from cool thanks for being a good player and you guys I really want to say thank you for coming out here and helping everybody on the island it's a real honor meet you man thanks for cruising around with everybody it's a great time you guys Rhoda is known as the friendly Island and if you were to ever visit this place from the moment you get off the plane checking in to the hotel and driving around the streets I guarantee you you'll realize why they call it the friendly Island so for me all these Navy boys and everyone else on rota take care god bless we are gone [Music]
