Southern Baptists pick new leader, narrowly reject formal ban on churches with any women pastors

In just the last three hours, we have now learned a Charlotte pastor is going to be the next president of the Southern Baptist Convention. Clint Presley is the senior pastor of Hickory Grove Baptist Church. He was elected today at the SB C's annual meeting in Indianapolis. Presley will now be in charge of its annual meeting and appointing committee members. He becomes the third pastor from North Carolina to lead the convention. Meanwhile.
