hi everyone my name is kma in my previous video I have talked about why I decided to prepare for RBI GP exam many UPS exam what motivated me enough to work uh in future for this organization how I decided organization and this exam is the approach to go there how I stay motivated to prepare for the exam I have talked about all of this in this video I am going to talk about the resources that I followed to clear this exam now before I start the video there is something that I want to say something that works for them can or cannot work for other people if you have decided to taken up a course well and good trust the course that you have chosen or how to choose the right course that is exactly that is one of the things that I'm going to talk about today other than that I am going to talk talk about all the resources that I followed to clear this exam in both Phase 1 Phase 2 and even an interview so I've written all my resources here approach subject even the chapters that I've done from which sources I'm going to talk about today in this video Start phase one say we know that this exam has three phases phase one phase two and interview phase one may we have General awareness uh importance more number of questions are asked from this and we have English logical reasoning and quantitative aptitude in general awareness we have not just current affairs but we also have government schemes we also have pib and we also have Finance current affairs in sources directly questions now what you can do is you can go for either reading the newspaper every day that is one approach that a lot of students follow but if you go for reading the newspapers every day you have to have consistency if for some reason you're not consistent enough then what to follow the first approach or the First Source that I followed was going for Affairs Cloud so Affairs Cloud they have monthly PDF which is 350 Pages approximately there are only limited things that we have to study from that uh national news is important uh banking news is important state news so go through them as well sport section is very important um books obituaries um days are also important but generally just month important days important so this you will know when you go through the previous year papers and when you go through the syllabus however aair cloud is one of the sources Toppers follow the monthly PDF that they give is one of the best sources along with that you can supplement it with newspapers you can also go for YouTube channels now what YouTube channel did I follow I followed an.in YouTube channel follow I also followed param classes YouTube channel they teach daily current affairs they also teach weekly and monthly current affairs so what I did was exam there were a few factual questions because you'll end up forgetting unless you revise it every second third day so for example important days so how I did that was Pam classes m'am she takes important days lecture for this entire month so let's suppose I'm covering for the month of June because July exam so for the month of June important days I made notes I revised it three times and exam question I was able to solve that so that is what you can do uh these are the free sources that are available uh apart from from that talking about pib Pi I followed Manish sir videos I did watch videos every day made notes myself so I went for the weekly PDF that we get so they must be getting the weekly PDF if you have not taken the course the telegram Channel there is the news we also give the PF there so you can go through that PDF alternate days so you get three in a week what you can do is you can compile it on your own PDF compiler say um you can compile it and make a weekly PDF document for yourself and study pib from there then comes government schemes government schemes I followed Manish sir videos I think most of the to follow it's comprehensive also what you can do is PDF go through that PDF what I also used to do was which is important or for some reason I want to get more information about I used to Google ume let's suppos so I used to Google that Kish I I used to add or for upsc andish or coaching Institutes now it is a very good practice to do this why because other schemes descriptive what happens is you know coaching Cent they do not just add the content portion of the schemes they also add introduction they also add conclusion they also add other topics which you can refer so there are links given to other topics related for example pranant Kish it is related to irrigation so what you can do is click on irrigation at the same now this is all the Strategic part I'm going to be talking about that in the program in detail government schemes I'll talk about that but these are the few sources that I used to follow for government schemes coming to finance current affairs I used to read the newspaper every day because job Finance current affairs so I used to follow business standard Liv Min and RBI website these were the three sources that we used to follow Indian Express economic section for finance current affairs this is also what we used to follow right we know that a news is there in news but so we used to Google it news for example unsecured loan rised so this is the news that we know right so we Google the news and links we find the best link Mega notes provided to you so for finance current affairs uh the classes that are available on an alternate basis are I think the best classes that you can get for covering everything that is asked in the RBI website that is given in the RBI website and that can be asked to you in your exam current affairs K I have already told you we have affairs Cloud I also watched foram classes I did also Join one or two telegram channels which used to give quizzes so what used to happen was one month Key current affairs once I'm done with that I have revised it I used to give Mars yeah end questions I used to do that so um textbook is one U you know place for mock practice Mo telegram there are a few channels which gives you Mo questions 20 25 questions on a daily basis they used to give from uh monthly current affairs so I used to follow that uh the telegram channels that I followed were guid thund storm Victory Arena we learn here I'm sure then we also have quizbot so when you search on telegram quizbot you can also get B quizzes that is something that you can also follow right so go through current affairs and then give quizzes that was my Approach these were the sources that I followed apart from that for the ga section there are two very important sources that I followed was budget and economic survey now budget I watched the uh video that Manish sir made also the PDF Manish this is very important but and you want to learn in detail so I also followed Rous Isa YouTube channel for espcially for budget and economic survey now in budget key videos is meant for upsc civil services student is not meant for RBA Grade B students but so I used to watch that video now it's a 3our long video so what I used to do was made notes absorb whatever I can and the next day right so bu and economic survey I did from Manish sirki video uh Manish s PDF what she used to give very important apart from that I also watched Rous video and also they give free pdf so these were the sources that I followed for General awareness coming to reasoning so reasoning I had done previously uh many coaching when I was in college I took up because you know friends told me Bing exam even when you had to go for you know jobs like e orpg big so they take an aptitude test so your aptitude has to be good so that's when I started taking coaching for itude and reasoning ande but so this year or previously also I watched YouTube channels I used to get Concepts grab Concepts made notes then give Moes that is the approach I used to follow so the YouTube channels that I followed were career definer um sir I think four five hours videos for quantitative aptitude topics which are very good 5 hours May you will understand the entire topic then you can solve questions using RS Agarwal so RS Agarwal YouTube channel was career definer there was one more YouTube channel that I followed was Bankers point so these two YouTube channels I followed for book I followed RS Agarwal and then I gave marks using textbook and also practice mock right uh English was fairly well because when you read newspapers to English novels if you read so so uh English is easy otherwise we have the book that we uh tell students to follow is RS Agarwal if you want to follow that um talking about myself I did not follow any book for English I only went for mock tests phase one if you are going for any course course may they give you uh you know proper coaching for phase one they also give you questions mock test so you can trust them you have to decide because end goal is clearing the exam so if you go for One Source if you go for two Source two sour one do it thoroughly do it in a man that's the approach that you have to follow now coming to phase two phase two may have may we have three papers the first paper is ESI evening conduct but we also have the finance and management morning shift and English talking about Finance Finance may we have the static portion we have the current portion right so for static I followed the course an Jindal course I followed that um I watched YouTube videos especially the crash course videos that is what I've watched otherwise I think I just watched one or two videos there uh but mostly I stuck to PDF sources that I had I made notes out of that then apart from that I also followed one different source that I followed was Rous is prelims compass that is what I followed uh so there are a few chapters which are related to finance there is a separate chapter for money and banking there is a separate chapter for RBI there is a separate chapter for economics so these are the topics that I followed stock market chapter so that is very comprehensive book if you think you have the the time to go through that book now the thing is in that book since it's prelims Compass it's not Mains Compass it's prelims Compass everything is given in short right so let's suppose you are studying Masala bonds right so only three four lines about Masala bonds are given what is a bond what are the characteristics of bond only one paragraph is given so in our course that we give generally you know one page preference shares what is the difference who is eligible each and everything in detail is given so if you want to study in detail then I would say go for a course um since I had a background in Commerce that's why I went for this Source called prelims compass and I made my own notes now prelims Compass yeah in fact so this prelims Compass is for objective talking about descriptive of Finance descriptive I chose to follow Mains Compass Rous apart from that what I did was I I have syllabus in front of me I took each and every topic from the syllabus and syllabus say I used to Google it right Google go talk about RBI Finance even in let's suppose you are searching for economics and social issues so just write upsc intro body conclusion you'll also get other angles to think about write about in any question that is my personal suggestion now so these are the two sources that I followed now in prelims Compass or in Mains campass if you're following rousa what happens is they have since the so yes the subject is economics they have for different subjects I followed economic subjects only um but they have different topics to uh that you can cover in economics also right so we have agriculture also eoms WTO IMF organizations so you have to to be selective now how can you be selective if you go through the syllabus so once you go through the syllabus I'll show you an image so I wrote down the syllabus myself and I pasted it on my wall this is the syllabus for ESI uh chapter number one growth and uh development chapter number two Indian economics so this is what I wrote kept tick marking this is what I did economics syllabus ESI and what you what you can do is chia prelims compass follow or you if you're following main compass for the F material that you have paid follow I did go through man notes of ESI um and also each and every topic topic let's suppose the topic is poverty elevation so I am going to go through poverty elevation causes and strategy how we did how we study the syllabus and how we you know strategize for Preparation but the basic thing that you have to understand right now is syllabus Nala is very important and based on the syllabus only you can get the right resources the two resources that I followed for descriptive writing were main compass and I also followed right and uh so this is how my wall used to look like I have the syllabus right here and here and Beach may all the important government schemes or any important topics that I had to put out so this is what I followed for uh you know phase two especially descriptive Finance talking about management I followed the course anua management may you have to understand case studies so previous year question is very important so for management I followed two things the course that I get from here and also previous year questions right again syllabus also I had written a syllabus in the similar manner management went through the syllabus now if you are uh if you're not deciding to not go for any course what you can do is go for TN chabra Obi organization Behavior book TN chabra also principles and practices of management again T chabra book however this these books do not cover nudge Theory and ethics so ethics so RBI has given ethics May detailed syllabus the RBI has given detailed syllabus of Ethics they have given each and every theory of Ethics that is that can be asked in your exam so ethics detail syllabus given what you can do is cover each and every topic from Google uh search it on your own make your own notes that is something you can do if you have enough time and if you can be consistent enough otherwise the what I followed was the course right so this is about Finance Management and ESI I went through my syllabus and syllabus research main campass follow K and I also followed Ana course that is what what I did for ESI now the last phase is the interview phase these were the resources that I followed for phase one and phase two interview phas phase one and phase two choosing the right sources is very very very important because if you choose the wrong sources it can cost you an attempt and so go for right resources analy your resources the best way to choose a course is number one it should be comprehensive comprehensively each and everything should be covered go through the syllabus uh before choosing the right resources and keep matching the contents of the the course that you getting or the you know chapters that they are giving to you with the syllabus that is something you can do now in my last video I talked about a program that I'm launching
