yes gravity is just a theory I'm not a scientist I'm not you know saying I know everything about this but do you google it and you see just to say that gravity is the the law and you have the almighty truth because Einstein is some sort of a genius when we all know that he is a fraud I don't understand gravity how it works I don't understand science I don't understand physics but that cannot be tested in a lab that can't be duplicated therefore the whole mass creating its own gravitational pull that falls under the category of pseudoscience in my opinion how is it that gravity is so strong that it can hold trillions of pounds of water to the underside of a ball yet it's so weak that it can't pull a butterfly downward so there's a term for dumb and dumber yes the dunning-kruger effect armed with an unhealthy bias of illusory superiority these low ability people cannot objectively evaluate their own mental shortcomings in other words they are too stupid to know how stupid they are in 1995 MacArthur wheeler robbed a store with lemon juice on his face he thought that since lemon juice can be used for invisible ink it would make his face invisible to the cameras after he was easily caught by the cops the wannabe thief was shown the video surveillance footage of himself robbing the banks genuinely surprised that his plan hadn't worked wheeler was without the required mental capabilities to figure out the gap in his own reasoning rate to be the next American Idol hopefully have you seen the show before yeah you think you have what it takes I think so so Keith why are you here I'm here because I think I'm the next American Idol I'm nursing like a virgin from Madonna I was beat but you made me thing when the penny dropped he realized he was being celebrated for his guts and determination rather than his promise as a vocalist his singing career is currently on hold the public does have a tendency to champion underdogs and this tends to reinforce the dunning-kruger effect can you do it on a soul okay I'm gonna do I want to dance with somebody okay Oh wanna dance with somebody I want to feel that him with somebody yeah wanna dance with somebody with somebody me last year I described someone as being the worst singer in America I think you'll possibly the worst singer in the world studies have shown that the dunning-kruger effect is not limited to the mentally challenged high-performing individuals can also overestimate their abilities in fact most of us do it a lot of the time I actually have no idea how the earth was created as far as the method and the process of creation I wasn't there so I can't claim to know that and you know who else wasn't there you so neither one of us have the slightest clue on how this earth was actually created in my mind the earth is created as a flat motionless plane and in your mind the earth was created as a spinning ball in outer space what we now call the dunning-kruger effect is what the scientists used to call metacognition thinking about thinking perhaps the less we know about a topic and the simpler it appears the easier it is to ascribe some sort of understanding of it we must be careful we could well be one of the many dunning-kruger sufferers walking around blissfully ignorant of our ignorance the earth isn't spinning you can't feel it's spin you know why because it doesn't you've never seen the earth as a ball with your own eyes you know why because it's not so when you use your senses you're gonna come to find out the earth is flat are you stupid I am NOT stupid I'm very intelligent can you prove it sure shoot ask me a question are you stupid yeah first two seconds I thought this is stupid the third second I thought they might have a plan we don't really have first-hand information that might be the whole point I didn't think that they thought the earth was flat I thought that they thought this is something that we should prove for ourselves and we need to make people think about thinking for themselves and I thought the idea was brilliant and that is the whole point of this you're too lazy to get up off your couch and go look for yourself are you stupid no buddy satellites and space don't exist the only satellites that even exist are here on the ground yeah that's right I just said that satellites and space don't exist go crazy everybody here's where all the people in the comments down below start being like oh my god he just said satellites don't exist is he crazy it's better for everyone to think you're fool then for you to open your mouth and prove them all right try to prove curvature exists you will fail try to prove that the earth is spinning or moving in any way and you will fail and then at that point you will become a flat earther [Music] so well [Music] [Applause] [Music] I was extremely delusional believing that I lived on a globe that was spinning whirling shooting through space use your senses get back to your senses and what they tell you do you feel like you're spinning does it look like the water curves and does it look like we're moving at a really fast speed it's probably a relationship between confidence and knowledge there must be something with it because this happens so many times the whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves but wiser people so full of doubts you majored in liberal arts why do you think I should hire you as the director of our biochemical engineering department because I identify as a biochemical engineer so you're not actually an Occupational fluid you're not getting the job oh so it's because I'm a woman I want to see a helicopter like this lifting off from in Australia upside down while the earth is spinning I want to see the earth spinning a thousand miles an hour while a helicopter takes off and flies around like you tell us it does it just seems very freaking absolutely ridiculous to me in a
