what's going on guys welcome back to this YouTube channel today in this video I'm going to address an error that a lot of my subscribers are facing and it's about the video where I showed you how to install MW and run C or C++ files using uh vs code a lot of you are facing this error that's why I'm creating this video and the error is as follows you have done all the steps correctly in the previous video that I showed you you installed MW you have installed code Runner extension in your Visual Studio code but somehow when you try to run the file you're getting this error g++ is not recognized as an internal or external command well if you just came from that video where you installed MW and followed all the steps but couldn't make it work then simply close the visual studio code and restart it and it should work fine for you but uh if you have done that and it doesn't work at all then you have missed this step let me show you how to do it so go to taskar and you'll see the search bar here and search for main G GW you'll only see this if you done the installation process correctly if you haven't done it go to the video the previous video and check how I installed MW do that correctly and you should see this in the uh search bar so now right click here and click on open file location a file and we'll open the file in its location here you need to keep one thing in mind if you see this Microsoft Windows start menu then you need to do one more extra step which is right click here and click on file open file location and you will be taken to this folder here you'll see MW lib e excc mw- something like this what you need to do is you need to click on this MW and you need to click on bin open this folder and click on this bar right here now select all the text that is here and copy it just copy the text and close the file explorer now come to search again and let's search for NY Ron and you'll see something like edit the system environment variables click here now click here on the environment variables click on path here click on new and paste what you just copied now click on Okay click on okay again okay now let's clear the output window you don't have to do this step I'm just doing this so that you can see the output now if I click on run it still tells me g++ is not recognized as an internal or external command that's because I again need to close my visual studio code and open it up again so I'm actually restarting my visual studio code now if I click on run again now if I click on run again you'll see Hello pops up here in the output window which is really cool uh but as you know we don't like this output we only like subscribe Channel run it again oh I need to save it run it again you can see now g++ also tells you subscribe to my channel now don't skip this step it's very important subscribe to my channel I'll see you in the next one till then peace out
