hi this is Corey Bauer with NGO engineer we are going to look at a pressure vessel analysis saw work simulation is analysis that is fully integrated into SolidWorks having analysis within the same interface as design allows for quick and easy simulation of design iterations a pressure vessel study is an analysis on parts or assemblies that combines linear static Studies the pressure vessel study starts from a linear static analysis so same loading is available the static studies can be combined with a linear combination method or a square root of the sum of the squares method the static studies can also have loading factors applied with a wide range of loading conditions available the simulation can be set up to accurately to reflect the real world environment the results are stress displacement and factor of safety the stress plot can then be linearized to separate the components of stress the full range of results can predict failures give insight into the design changes needed and allow for material testing this helps to bring better designs to market faster you
