in this tutorial we will make a Ludo die or throwing dye so this is the r drawing now just check note all dimensions are in millimeter all spline rag handles eight millimeter there is a spline going to use material polyester resin okay now look this is the front right and bottom we will start with front plane and you will see at Center first we will make this quarter piece this is the spline all spline eight millimeter six by six there is a one tangent relation two millimeter then this point five point five the same structure lies in all planes like right plane and bottom plane see so we will make these three structures in different plane but same if you see overall length this is the section view of this die 12 by 12. and you will see in section view we will make this counts as a separate body see here in section view this is a concave type of body we will make a hole then we will place this one so it looks real so let's start with this we will use surface features so right click go to tabs and activate surface features and uncheck those things we don't like okay now we will start with front plane sketch now here I am going to select construction line again I am going to draw okay let's select the line Escape key now press left Mouse and you will see this option select line or press alkene in keyboard and activate line tool and make your line at Center of this okay now select this one and this one make relation tangent and coscentric let's define this six millimeter again activate Center Line again activate line tool make sure construction geometry all line should be construction geometry now 0.5 and this is going to be two millimeter right click select now hold shift key and select these two lines equal similarly select this line and this line make equal look this is fully defined sketch Now activate here spline select this point select this point where the tangent going to meet with this and select this point right click ok now select this line and you will see two drag handles so select the drag hanger handle and here first make horizontal now select the upper drag handle vertical smart Dimension now this drag handle also we have to apply Dimension eight millimeter see apply both sides so that we will get a perfect shape now look the same spline we have to make in all the geometry exit select right plane sketch activate Center Line now select both the lines equal again select Center Line and here draw two lines skip key okay again press L key in keyboard and draw some line like this connect to this hold shift key select these two lines relation make tangent construction geometry smart dimension six millimeter this is going to be 0.5 millimeter and this length two millimeter press Escape key to out now let's make few important relation hold shift key select these two lines leave shift key and you will see this pop-up select equal look this is fully defined sketch activate spline Start From Here connect with this point then third Point connect with this right click select click and select the drag handle horizontal the second drag handle vertical smart dimension now drag handle eight millimeter eight millimeter look now this seems fully defined a sketch exit now look now let's make at bottom bottom means Top Lane sketch okay better to choose construction line and connect it separately so that it makes our life easier we don't need to create activate line tool and start with Center Point connect with this again let me finish this lines skip key again line okay select this line Construction again hold shift key select this two line tangent relation select these two lines equal Construction okay again let me select construction geometry now this is not Construction check carefully okay hold shift key select these two lines equal smart dimension six millimeter two millimeter 0.5 millimeter look activate spline connect from here to this point to this point right click ok click and activate select the spline select this drag handle horizontal relation now select this upper one vertical relation smart Dimension select the drag handle Dimension eight millimeter the horizontal one eight millimeter this is fully defined sketch exit now you will see Now activate go to sketch now here activate 3D sketch activate line tool now I am going to connect these two lines skip key to out again activate line now connect these two points Escape key to out now the last one now we have a close profile exit exit isometric View now look now go to surface and here activate field surface now in patch boundary you can select any geometry any kind of boundary so simply I am going to select one two three 4 now look it took the shape see now here I am going to select tangent not contact not tangent or curvature because this is not going to be this is going to be straight not going to be a kind of tangent relation apply to all corner now rest keep as it is say okay now let me create a plane front plane make plane and select this end point okay now select right plane go to reference geometry plane select the end point of this see here reference first plane second plane vertex we selected and no need to change parallel simply coincide now the third one select bottom one bottom plane reference geometry plane and select the top one any one okay now let's mirror go to feature activate mirror clear now first first plane I am going to select this one plane one now body go to body and here select this body and here select knit surface don't make merge solid because this is not going to be a solid right now why we choose knit surface so that it's easy for us to make further mirror otherwise you have to select all one by one okay again mirror select plane two go to bodies and simply see I am going to select this body so I am not going to choose this one that's why I am going to activate net surface okay now again mirror and select last plane this third plane bodies to mirror see if I am going to select one time on body net surface okay now let me do one thing select these three planes right click hide look let me uncheck real View okay that doesn't differentiate much now go to surface activate again filled surface select one to make sure we we are going to select edges otherwise it makes difficult select on edges which is belongs to this surface now here apply to all tangent optimized surface and contact now here I am not going to make merge result we will do it later okay now we have to do manually one by one for all now here we finished now if you see section View it's Hollow look Now activate net surface now select all see all are selected here select create solid merge entities say okay now section View okay now see this is become solid now in front view you will see we will make a hole this is the r hole 2.5 diameter 0.5 is the depth of hole then there is one dice concave type of 0.2 Center so we will make hole and then this will make separate body front plane select this one OK do one thing select this one apply material right click edit material plastic polyester resin apply close I am going to change the color okay this looks perfect select this face sketch Circle connect one center line from here to here and make sure Center and select all the lines should be horizontal 2.5 go to feature and select extruded cut see here make sure the depth 2 point sorry 0.5 millimeter see now just go to plane 2. okay let's go to plane 2. sketch make one geometry three pointer now select the center point hold shift key select this line horizontal this is important relation 0.5 the overall length 1.25 and according to drawing this is going to be 0.25 and distance from here to here going to be 12 divided by 2 its half of this okay now just drag inside hold shift key select line and this point coincide relation now look this is fully defined this way just rotate and see now simply make revolver boss base now here axis of Revolution I am going to select this bottom one now look angle 360 degree uncheck this merge results because we are going to make a new body simply say okay now click this one select here choose body and select this one white color okay now see now if we check body there is a two different bodies main body now let's make these other holes see in right side two holes nine millimeter from Center to Center 45 degree then bottom you will make four holes 45-45 degree same distance nine millimeter four point five four point five and the top you will see 45 degree three holes 4.5 4.5 and same depth so let's make this whole first select this hole is sketch Now activate here Center Line and first make one Center Line and connect with here select the line horizontal now again make one more Center Line something like here out now select the center point hold shift key and select line and make relation first coincide and middle both important relations activate Circle and select both the end a circle skip key to out select this circle and this circle equal activate the smart dimension nine millimeter 45 degree and select these diameter 2.5 now look this is seems fully defined sketch go to feature and select extruded cut make depth 0.5 millimeter keep end condition blind this is moving inside select this surface sketch again I am going to select the same construction line draw vertical and horizontal lines make sure this line horizontal again Define one more line hold shift key select this line this point tangent sorry coincide and mid plane this is both important relation and draw here three circles hold shift key select all three circles leave shift key and you will see this pop-up click equal smart dimension first nine millimeter we do not need to define the center distance Center to send here because we already defined mid plane 45 degree and diameter 2.5 now look this is fully defined sketch extruded cut make the depth 0.5 millimeter and condition blind sketch plane we are going to keep same okay that's it select bottom one sketch now here I am going to use the same method that's because here we always defined a mid plane horizontal okay let's define the one Corner rectangle Center rectangle that's fine now select this one for construction select hole select make four holes smart Dimension the first distance nine millimeter 45 degree and this diameter 2.5 okay now select all four circles and make relation equal now see this is fully defined as sketch go to feature select extruded cut now look it should be go inside so we will keep same plane same end condition blind it is going to cut inside 0.5 okay now we have to complete other hole simply I am going to click and hide this Now activate circular pattern here Direction I am going to select this circular Edge instant spacing 90 degree two number of patterns and feature simply select this cutout here select reverse I want to make in this phase say ok look again select circular pattern now this time I am going to select this whole and here clear instant spacing angle 90 degree two number of instances and feature I am going to select this one this whole cutout see make reverse okay now look here we have five holes now holes are not visible so select this cutout and do one thing make Direction 2 also and here also 0.1 something okay now look here visible due to some geometry error it is this is not going to happen because of this surface now it's happened here now again circular pattern here this time I am going to select this Edge now the same sketch we selected instance spacing 90 degree two number of patterns isometric View make reverse I want to make here okay and look select this face sketch now here I want to add two more holes so simply I am going to select a circle activate line tool and draw a midline just keep cursor on edge and you will see again select keep cursor on edge you will see Center Point Escape key to out the smart Dimension I select Circle and you will find your midpoint click on midpoint okay now hold shift key select both the circles and choose your equal 2.5 millimeter now select extruded cut depth to 0.5 even I am going to select Direction one 0.1 so that we will not get any problem see now all holes are created now let's apply this white color dies in this counts so first let me show okay now I am going to activate circular pattern the first Direction select this Inside Edge instant spacing 90 degree to number of patterns we have to choose body see you will see the preview okay now look select this one this cut out and here go to this cutout so I want to use this geometry go to linear pattern first I am going to select this line instance spacing 4.5 two number of pattern Direction two again I am going to select the same line 4.5 two patterns and here choose patterned seed only why because otherwise it will take both of this here so I don't want to make more than the count so simply select body this body now with the help of One Direction it will create this with the help of Direction two it will create only this say OK and here we go now select hide Center one now we have to make in another Direction circular pattern this time I am going to select this age body I am going to select this body 90 degree but make reverse so select this okay now it comes here now let me hide this sketch click and hide now comes here select this face sketch and here create one sketch activate Center Line move cursor over age and you will see center point so connect this Center to the center Escape key to out again activate Center Line this Center to this Center skip key two out now simply exit now here I am going to select linear pattern first Direction let's say this one Direction two I am going to select this one 4.5 distance to number of patterns same here and bodies select this one unchecked and here choose see if we not check pattern seed it you will see these two options that's why I am going to select pattern okay again a linear pattern select the same both directions same distance spacing instances 4.5 to number of patterns now bodies I am going to select this one now this time change this one and here choose pattern seed only see both moving this side Direction say okay look now click and hide see now select and hide this time I am going to choose circular pattern now Direction Let's select this one 90 degree uncheck feature select bodies one two three four and this is going to add in this you will see okay now look the body added here now just save our say die or dies in plural we say dies and in singular we say die so just save it now I am going to hide click and hide now activate here circular pattern now select this Inside Edge instant spacing 90 degree two number of patterns Now activate bodies which bodies select the bottom these four bodies and where I want to move these four bodies in these six bodies so how you will do just simply reverse this direction reverse direction see okay look it moves again circular pattern this time I am going to choose this upper Edge 90 degree bodies I am going to select these two bodies one two reverse Direction now see this is going to add here okay look now simply I am going to go to on top check and show all the hidden parts now look see all are fitted only to rest here so simply go to right right click tabs and activate here direct editing here you will find option move copy now I am going to select this one and here choose Translate copy two number of things let's say 5 reverse okay make better clearance make sure copy you selected okay because I want to fix this with this hole again go to copy go to constrain select first body this is the first body now met select one 2 see click add now select this inside face and this outer edge look okay now this is edit select body and this one okay we applied but now simply I am going to apply move and copy select this part setting first this circular Edge and this circular Edge now both will come in one line see click add now second relation select the inside face and this Outer Edge see it moves okay write a click and click this appearance and select body because this
