we're at the Gooding and company auction is really Iowa this is the 14th bar coming up in the block right now it's a Jaguar roadster probably an XK 120 the next two cars you know well the Cobra and the Ferraris I think the Ferrari comes up first it's been the Cobra we saw those cars sitting in a garage decades and and the only people the only things that knew about it with am Iceland that lived inside them and now this room was filled with a couple of thousand people and they're the most anticipated cars of the whole auction there's probably 3,000 people in this room those cars are Kiko four amazing [Music] the Ferrari is estimated to go for 2.5 to 3.5 million if you imagine you know all the mouse and mouse droppings in there the mouse mouse condominiums the Cobra is is estimated to go for 1 million to 1.3 million dollars once once this jag leaves the stage she's gonna start getting excited all right ladies and gentlemen we are very excited to present the next - grunting it's running it's private oh no brakes no brakes oh it almost wore off the end of the stage 66 Ferrari 275 gtb long nose alloy it's a spectacular garage find 275 remaining in as found condition specified in the highly desirable alloy a long-nosed configuration one of just 80 produced as fitting fitted with its matching numbers engine and accompanied by a Marcel Messina report it has remained in the current ownership for over 30 years a stunning and significant discovery presented in its wonderful original color scheme lot 15 about 15 here we go where are they gonna start this give me a million good afternoon sir 1 million I have 1 billion at 1 million super are do 1 million started the bidding at 1 1.1 1.2 1.3 1.3 1.4 6 a million and a half well boot 5 5 1 point 6 point 6 million already I remind you that the owner bought that car for $47,000 in the 80 1.6 million 2 million I am bid somebody jumped up a 2 million two million dollars two million 2.1 now may we say I remember there's a 10% commission on their one time two point one two five on their but you can see rate even here are their lights on it that this still is shine underneath that dust I've been I mean I'd love to be the guy that washed that car but thankfully has been washed yet so there are telephone bidders bidding for us United States in Europe now they're gonna push the car back a little because it didn't have brakes and almost let the off the edge of the stage so it's being pushed back now so we can see the nose thank you Bill meetings at the point two point two million this is the long-nosed car I just found out that the long nose that it just poop inches because stand the Mulsanne straight at Lamar the car the nose of the car come up and the front wheels wouldn't be touching the ground the drivers had no adhesion so by adding just a couple of inches of nose length and brought the car back down to the ground 2.3 million we're now on the telephone at 2.3 you're both out on the right here you're in on the telepaths these people will bid on the phone we usually watching on their computer laptop so they can kind of see the activity see the room that's a parlous if you're done on the right I sell the car at 2.3 million deal yeah you don't want to raise your hand or wave to a friend now or scratch your nose you might wind up loading our car for the second time for the third and the last time all right 2.3 million moving all right now the car that I'm a little bit closer to because I know about the under-16 the 1967 Shelby 427 Cobra an incredible garage fine Cobra finished in its original colors and retains really rarely seen original details it is this car it is estimated go to over 1 to 1.3 million undisturbed discovery mate remaining in its original factory configuration we looked at it yesterday a bunch of Cobra expressions and we figure that's the original paint job on there I cannot think of another car and possibly the RSR that has been more viewed than this amazing Cobra the 67 Cobra from the same stable as the 275 give me 500 thousand as down to five hundred or five hundred thousand thank you five hundred I'm bid sir do I give that sucker over 13,000 miles over no 19,000 629 654 up to 625 625 thousand at 625 650 675 675 700 725 725 800 800 somebody jump it up to unless 75 grand 800 grand what's 25 between we have 200 thousand more to reach low estimate 839 850 850 75 seven eight seven five five nine nine hundred nine hundred twenty five six nine hundred on the telephone 25 may I say 900 925 915 Wow 950 950 thousand dollars for the second time the third and the last time I sell the car at 950 thousand dollars it's kind of the end of the end of the road for our Volvo with these cars they just went through the auction at Gooding I think you've been ni as well have been kind of treated to a special event with these cars they found them and they were you know MOUs hotels inside there that was the day we discovered them you went along with us we move them from one trailer to another because we couldn't get up the driveway brought them to the new home and this is kind of the end of the line for these cars as far as we know I think it was a special activity that we don't normally get to experience and born fine hunter you know we usually find an old Corvair lying in the woods and that's the end of the story but here this has continued for three episodes maybe it's not over I don't know maybe maybe they will see one of these cars again but I would love to be the person to wash these cars back in the shampoo the carpets and rebuild the clutch in that one rebuild the brakes in that one and and enjoy them the way they were supposed to be enjoyed they're great cars did their time capsules and interestingly I got a phone call two days ago from a guy whose name is Dominic Fabrizio jr. and Dominic lives in Boston and his father bought this car new went to Italy and he's got the original shipping documents from Italy to Boston so the guy that bought us new is alive in Boston you know there's another story that's kind of happened because his son Dominic has been searching for his father's call for 30 years he said I finally found it because a barn-find hunter so you know maybe we can make somebody else's dreams come true happy hunting
