Solar Roadways accuse me of LYING!!!

so this one made me chuckle solar roadways has accused me of lying of doctoring a photo no less clearly doctoring to make solar roadways look more reflective than it actually is you know making it seem like you're won't be able to see their LEDs during the day or something so Tim oh right this should work and be visible with your eyes however there's a reason why highway LED signs are placed above your head most of the time to which solar roadways chimes in the picture in your post is obviously altered we've taken hundreds of pictures and the worst of them don't look anything like that well gosh you caught me guys I admit it it's all fake oh no wait it wasn't that's a screen cap from a video where I actually visited solar roadways this is the actual video look at least a little dead LED that's it I gotta admit they did well lately they did well to actually make the glass shaped like that this is a waste of time this stuff on the top there oh I got that right this this LEDs dead as well green and yeah he's dead already partially dead thing is one that one that one dead LED in the whole panels junk and seeing as this was was a couple of million dollars or something I'm gonna try and jump over it I'll see how far I can and there were really glare problems quite fun and that's Saul roadways so far in denial that when they're confronted with the actual performance of their idea of using glass as a road surface they simply say it can't possibly be that bad it must be fake holy scammy Kickstarter Batman but seeing as you're fancy another go let me tell you another reason which I've now brought up before to tell you why the LEDs in the road are useless completely and utterly useless for road markings fundamentally boils down to the fact that the LEDs here are recessed beneath the road surface so the approximate dimensions of the Seoul roadway panels is they're about half a meter 50 or so centimeters across and the LEDs are about one to two centimeters below the road service and the joins are made of metal the practical upshot is where you walk further away from these things the black strips obscure the LEDs so in ballpark calculate the distances at which the LEDs will become completely invisible on these panels so let's say they're 50 centimeters across and let's just say for ease of aemond it's it's to sends me so that's a gradient of about one in 25 so the eye height of a driver is about 1.3 meters which we're gonna round towers to make it easier which means that it's gonna be about 25 meters away these LEDs will be completely invisible now it's not gonna be quite that bad it's gonna be somewhere between 30 and 50 meters at which point you won't be able to see the LEDs at all and if that sounds too much Here I am actually in practice about 30 meters away from the solar roadway panels standing about 2 meters high which is you know higher than the eyes of a driver in a car and already you can see what I'm talking about that about half of the LEDs are not visible and if I would crouch down at this distance you would see most of those LEDs vanish okay so I'm not actually that far away from it at the moment and you can just about make out light so I'm gonna do my stride II think so 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 23 24 25 26 28 29 30 31 32 so about 35 yards give or take and it's almost completely invisible the bottom line is at 70 miles per hour that's 30 or so meters per second the road markings will only become visible about one or so seconds before you drive over them not so sure that's gonna stop you from hitting many mooses guys just say it now and things this was just a little fun not gonna put this in the patreon supported feed but if you like these videos and want to support the channel I'll leave some links below [Music]
