so you want to come to Thailand they well in this video I'm going to detail my three favorite one-week itineraries in the whole country one of them's up north one in the middle and one of them is down south and at the end of the video I'm going to tell you how with one little click you can join me for an entire week on my favorite one of all let's get into it first up Bangkok and what does the perfect week in Bangkok look like day one how do you arrive you come into suwana boom you feel that wall of heat you head up to a rooftop bar take in the sheer size and vastness of the great City do this on night number one look out over the city because you're gonna conquer that City over the next seven days with everything that I'm about to tell you when you get up to this height you start to see just how big this city is on both sides of the chaupaya river then after the sun sets go back down to street level we're going to take you to Soy 11. it might be a little bit touristy but it's the epitome of what Bangkok should offer you on your first night some wild little Street side bars some good street food motorbikes zipping up and down the street get right into the action on night number one let's go back to the hotel rest up because day two we're gonna hop on one of these Canal taxis these things are an awesome way to get around Bangkok they run up and down the canals they totally beat all the traffic and the traffic is back believe me oh this is my stop so these things are an amazing way to get around be careful hopping on and hopping off experience that Madness and then head down to the Jim Thompson museum for a quick little history lesson then we're gonna go to my favorite Lunch Spot in all of Thailand the ruam Sab market and you're gonna eat the famous crab pad crepel that you've seen me eat since I started this channel it's my favorite Lunch Spot in all of Thailand and yes it's pad crepow lady so what they cap yes this is the lady who cooked the pan for pal that I put into space and no retired working for you itinerary in Bangkok would be complete without visiting pad crepow lady and tasting up her goodness just order a space crepel this Market's the perfect place to have your first Thai lunch because you're not just going to eat the pad krapow we're gonna set up a buffet a smorgasbord of tons of different Thai food for all of you who are going to be there I'm going to show you how to buy this much food for under ten dollars right here in Bangkok and you can find out what you like find out what you don't like and it's gonna set you right up for the rest of the week and I guarantee you you're gonna find something you've never tried before that you're going to be asking for for the rest of the week oh where can I get that or oh where can I get this so ruam Sab market for lunch gonna be awesome after that you walk down to terminal 21 if you want to go do some shopping they call it terminal 21 because each level in this place is named after a different country or city or for those that might have stayed out a little late on soy 11 the night before maybe you go back to the hotel lounge around by the pool either take a nap or go the old Hair of the Dog routine and have a couple of beverages to uh to loosen up for the evening because at night on day number two you're gonna jump into ah yeah took tooks the epitome of Bangkok now the Convoy of tuk-tuks is just for those of you who are going to uh book with the one click method which I'm going to tell you at the end of the video if you're on your own you're just going to be on your own in a took took but Convoy toot tubes trust me there's nothing like it and you're gonna be with a group and we're going to explore sucumvent a lot of places to eat places to drink you're gonna just zip around this Fleet of toot too because it's going to be a wild night you get up on day three now that you know what the food's like it's time to learn how to cook it and we're not just doing any cooking school you're going to go to cooking with poo you know it achieves three things first you go to the Kong toy Market in the morning and that's an experience of itself that belongs on the itinerary there's fresh fruit fresh vegetables and extremely fresh chicken foreign that's poo there she takes you through she explains everything that you see then you go back to Pooh's house which is a challenged neighborhood some people call it a slum I don't like to call it that but it's very interesting to get into this part of Bangkok not many tourists go there it's really cool to get back inside because this place is has retained a super awesome Vibe Community Family feel even though there's a lot of challenges faced back here here we are entering cooking with poo to prepare the ingredients into something delicious if you love spicy you're gonna cook three Thai Dishes of course you're gonna get to eat them all it is awesome it's a great experience and the only cook in the school that I'd recommend then at night we're gonna go to one of bangkok's funkiest restaurants and this place actually has a secret door it's over in the tallade noi District it's called ban rimnan that is places an experience in and of itself and then when your belly's full time to take in Thailand's national sport a night at the Muay Thai Stadium the real actions in the crowd where they're not even watching the fight they're focusing on getting the bets laid you might want to gamble a little bring a little money bet on the blue bet on the red either way it's a wild atmosphere if you've never been to Muay Thai in Bangkok this is worth putting on your list you wake up on day four you have to go for a morning walk through Bangkok Central Park Network Bangkok has this insane Central Park Network that's still expanding and you're gonna walk from lumpini all the way down to Benji Kitty in the Central Forest it's a really cool experience in the morning right in the heart of Bangkok but you feel like you're on another planet all together and this leads perfectly into the next activity on the list which is a Thai massage lay back get ready to be beaten up with some elbows and some choppy chops they might even walk on your back if you just want a soft massage you got to ask them them because otherwise they're going to slap you around but you can't come to Bangkok and not get a Thai massage you're now ready to see the wild side of Bangkok with a trip at night to Soy cowboy and Nana Plaza gonna do both walk from both and and I know like this Bangkok red light scene is not for everyone it's part of bangkok's culture like it or not so we've added it to the itinerary on night number four and if you don't like that just go out and find a amazing little Pub or a place with a lifetime music my favorite one is probably tuba up in ekamai so you can jot that little note down so that takes us to the end of day four you wake up on day five we hit the BTS and we we head rate to some of the most famous spots in Bangkok this itinerary that I'm building for you is mostly to get you off the Beaten Track it's not all the typical tourist spot it's to get you to to go to the places that I like to go and other people who live here like to go but there's a few things that you got to scratch off the bucket list and that's some of the must-see temples so we're gonna hit wat po want a roon and of course the Grand Palace and to get back to the hotel the beauty of this is you jump on not a canal taxi but this time it's a it's a Riverboat taxi so you're chugging right down the center of the chaopaya river and the Bangkok Skyline views are epic so you get back to the hotel take a little pit stop freshen up because tonight we're going to Pat pong yep the night Street Market that's just filled with this that and definitely the other thing but we're gonna start by getting in to the pat pong Museum so you can learn about the pretty crazy and wild history of that neighborhood and then it's party time at night in Pat pond foreign [Applause] [Music] Chinatown this whole week if you book using the thing I'm going to tell you about at the end of the video everything's taken care of and you're you're just guided around you're you're look you're half you're half hung over half drunk half the time or you don't know where you're going but you don't have a thing to worry about and the guide's not just going to take you to Chinatown wherever everyone else goes you're gonna snake around some back alleys get into the really tasty stuff and uh your taste buds are going to be thanking you by the end of it and then at night we're going to my favorite Night Market in the whole country it's called rope finite Market the reason I love this place is because it's so funky you got the young hip Urban ties hanging out with a bunch of old cars they got old airplanes hanging from the roofs in here the craziest vintage shops that you'd ever want to see they have like these shipping containers all with double deck workers so patios on the top food everywhere this place is only open on I think Thursday Friday Saturday and Sunday and it is a night market so you don't want to arrive much before six or seven PM so that's night six day seven get up bright and early and do what most people don't watch Bangkok wake up in the morning you're going to go out and see a side of Bangkok that is a treat to see and so often people neglect to do it you'll see the monks taking their arms in the morning and all of the street fenders just come into life it's really Bangkok at its most picturesque so bring your cameras for that one and then in the afternoon you're going to explore the Unseen Bangkok and the best way to do that is on a bicycle so we got a guided bike tour with watt one of Adam's best buddies gonna go across the river and snake all around the parts of Bangkok the tourists always just avoid and you're going to see how the locals live you're going to eat how the locals eat and that tour ends in a Local's house oh look at this wow what you get us into some good spots man this is people just welcome my ass into their house their house they live upstairs this is a living room of them oh yeah end them the day with a home-cooked tom yum guy what this has been amazing thank you so much an incredible day you're welcome I hope you guys come in and then for your last night it's one final epic dinner and an evening full of drinks right back where we started at a rooftop bar but the best thing is it kind of bookends the trip remember we started on day one at a rooftop bar when you were just looking out wondering of what the city's like what it has to offer well on the last night you're back at a rooftop bar but you're looking out over the city saying oh yeah I conquered that mofo and you'll have all these memories of the week rushing back in your head and then an unfortunately you wake up on day 8 the itinerary is over and that's it that's Bangkok that's if you if you spend a week doing that in Bangkok you're going to know the city better than you thought you're going to know Thai food better than you thought and you're going to have had the weakier life now before we get to my personal favorite itinerary which is number three on the list let's go to the magical City at Chiang Mai I love Chiang Mai it's my favorite city in Thailand and I'd like to make sure that I spend at least a couple of months up there every year and there's so much to do in Chiang Mai and so much more than just Old Town we got some spots in Old Town for you but we're gonna get you all around the city and outside the city to experience the full magic of this place starts with day one which is always simple and easy you fly in you check into the hotel and then you go out for a nice local Thai dinner get a good night's sleep wake up on day two and day two is set to illustrate how Chiang Mai is like the perfect blend of old and new there's a lot of great history here as well and the best way to experience the history is what we're going to start day two with which is a samlore ride samlar is one of those old three-wheel rickshaws we have a group of old Sam Lord drivers which are a Dying Breed so while you're riding around on this amazing tour remember that you're actually helping keep this tradition alive and you're going to zip around see some temples see a lot of Old Town learn a lot about the history along the way and then after that we're gonna go to my favorite cow soy shop in all of Thailand Khao soy is the most famous Chiang Mai food and it was just recently named number one on the world's list of the top 100 soups and you gotta go to this little hole in the wall cow soy restaurant with the old lady who's been cooking it for decades she probably makes the best bowl of cow soy on the entire planet you gotta eat it then you know you're in Chiang Mai for dinner we're gonna take you for a bit more of a local Vibe you about to check out my favorite Street Food Market in the whole country it's right at the top of Sue Tap Road right at the entrance of Chiang Mai University and there you'll find a bunch of young hip local ties which are really representative of Chiang Mai as a city and this is the perfect place to try a five dollar challenge this is a 150 Thai bot this is the five dollar challenge well now's your chance I encourage you and all the group that you're with to grab five bucks walk up this amazing length of Road and see what you can get maybe load it all on a table and see who got what for five bucks believe me you're going to be shocked at how delicious and how amazing this place is close off the day we're gonna go from the past to the Future when I say that Chiang Mai is the future of Thailand I mean places like this the north gate Jazz Co-op it's a funky trendy stylist stick jazz club right at the north gate and this is filled with ties who are artistic and professional and setting up all these funky cool businesses and that's why it feels to me like the future of Thailand it's the place where all the local expats who live in Chiang Mai go and it's super fun it spills out onto the street we'll have an awesome night in the north gate Jazz co-op on day three it's time to get out of the city and head into the Foothills and to start you should go to an elephant sanctuary [Music] there's some amazing ones in Chiang Mai and it's a lot different than it used to be 20 years ago the way that elephants and tourists are integrated these days is just a nicer experience so you get up close and personal with the elephants behind the ears this one's for you Timmy and then after that lunch at a place called food for thought this place is kind of Farm to Table really fresh ingredients run by a super nice couple it's a place you'd probably never find but now you will and you'll thank me once you eat there and then day four it's a little bit of a drive we're gonna head out to Hui Tung Tao Reservoir this is an absolute Gem of a place about a half hour outside the city it's a great place to go for a walk take in the natural beauty and grab a little Lakeside snack in a little Lakeside Shack and enjoy some local Thai food at night it's time to hit the Niemann District this is the funkiest neighborhood in all of Chiang Mai and my personal favorite you've probably seen me talk about it in a lot of my videos and it's usually where I stay when I come to Chiang Mai funky cafes amazing restaurants just great nightlife and cool Vibes so definitely have fun tonight day five is a big adventure into the mountains one of the best things to do in Chiang Mai is to get outside the city head into the mountains and do a loop and end up back in the city it's a full day trip and the question is where do you go what stops do you make well that's what I'm here for the first stop is Queen circuit Park and the highlight of this gorgeous Park is the canopy walk after that you need to hit one of the many Mountainside restaurants but there's a couple in particular that are spectacular super picturesque amazing local Northern Thai food and Thai food of all kinds and then it's off to the hilltop Village called monjam this is where many local ties come out and go camping and you'll see these little bubble tents like glamping tents that they rent and you need to go right to the top where there's a local market and this massive flower garden with views that are to die for after that head back into Chiang Mai probably about an hour drive and then go to my favorite restaurant for local Northern Thai food it's called Tung Tam toe it's where all the Bangkok ties go when they come up to Chiang Mai you'll see the places filled with Thai customers huge place you should order what I call the greatest hits of Northern Thai food where your table just fills up with stuff that you can only get up in Northern Thailand try it all but be warned you'll probably be addicted to the green chili paste by the time the night's done oh my God is that ever delicious precious day six is one for the spirit Chiang Mai is a super spiritual place and this day starts with a morning walk through the Chiang Mai University campus it's a gorgeous campus but it is super huge and there's a specific part that you want to go to it's the larger of the two reservoirs and you walk a lap around the whole Reservoir and you'll be blown away and then there's a little cafe that overlooks the reservoir great place to fill up with your morning coffee and a great way to start what's going to be a super spiritual day for you after the morning walk you're gonna head up the most famous mountain in Chiang Mai DOI Su tap the one that you can see from the city about halfway up you got to stop at this little Temple that not many people stop at it's really a nice place and it's got a little creek running through it you're going to see a bunch of people meditating there then it's back in the vehicle and up to DOI Su tap the most famous temple in all of Chiang Mai and you're going to want to bring your pictures to this one because this has a sweeping view looking back out over the entire city and then in the afternoon probably the most unique thing of the week it's called monk chat and we're gonna go to a temple in the city where there's a monk that will sit with you for an hour and answer any question that you have you could ask them what's the meaning of life you can ask them how to relieve stress my buddy GMAC liked to ask him hey if monks aren't supposed to have worldly possessions what's with the iPhones and the monk is beyond a good sport about the whole thing like they engage actively no questions are off the table it's really really cool three times I was doing like this to Buddha it's more like worshiping to Buddha well it's not called worship we don't worship the Buddha because Buddha is not a God so how do we call it we call it bowing to show respect well that was uh very good very enlightening uh it was really nice to talk to you thank you and by the end of the hour you'll probably have a bit of a different outlook on life after hearing the words of wisdom come from the monk just make sure you bring a good question day seven is another epic road trip this time outside Chiang Mai to the tallest mountain in the whole country it's called DOI in tanon and it's an epic National Park the drive there alone is worth it but we'll make sure that you stop at all the best spots along the way some waterfalls some viewpoints some incredible little local dining spots this is one of Thailand's Wonders of Nature and so it warrants pretty much taken the entire day seven then you get back into Chiang Mai for one final farewell party where you're probably by now with a group of people that you've just had an amazing week with forged some lifelong friendships you reminisce because the next day unfortunately you gotta leave now it's time for my favorite one-week itinerary in the whole damn country this is the one that I'm going to join you guys on for the entire week because I just absolutely love this I've done this one myself at least once a year ever since I moved here day one you fly into Phuket you spend the evening in Phuket Old Town this is an amazing place to stroll around it feels more like Havana Cuba to me than Phuket Thailand I could picture this street being super cool with all these shops and cafes and you know lots of things to do it's just missing one one key ingredient and that's all of you and then rest up because day two is huge so picture this you wake up in the morning you're at a hotel in Phuket you pack your luggage you leave it at the lobby a van comes and picks you up and drives you to my favorite coffee shop in Phuket and it's absolutely delicious coffee this is a Craftsman who takes things very seriously super reasonably priced amazing coffee this guy's a gem he'll keep you entertained for about a half an hour while serving you up some amazing coffee jump back in the van and over to the Phuket Marina where you're going to be greeted by Sean at five star Marine you've seen me in his boats over the years and it's because they're awesome he's got a private boat waiting for your group you jump in the boat and you head on out to the Andaman sea where you're gonna have a day to remember this Sleek new boat they call it the business class of boating I think this is beyond business class I think we're in the first class you can do some snorkeling you can have a little lunch on a deserted island you'll get a glimpse at the Majestic Beauty of panga Bay it's once in a lifetime type stuff and here's where it gets interesting usually you go back to where you started in the Phuket Marina but we got Sean just for us and for you guys to arrange to be dropped off over in my favorite beach in all of Thailand Raleigh Beach [Music] so he drops you off there and you're thinking well where's my luggage where's my clothes where the hell am I don't worry your luggage has been put in a van and while you've been out on the boat enjoying your day it's been transported over to Raleigh Beach it's already in your hotel so you walk in your luggage is there you freshen up then you head out to Raleigh Beach keep in mind this place is special there is no cars there's no fumes from cars no noises from cars it's a different world here in Raleigh and you should definitely check it out the first night I'll give you the kind of once-over of the area so that you know where to go and explore we'll have a little fun have a few drinks and then go back get a good night's sleep day three you wake up in Paradise also known as Raleigh Beach West you're going to be staying in the exact same hotel that Haley and I stayed at for our honeymoon 20 years ago when I discovered Raleigh Beach and I can't stop going back to this place so if you've never been your head's gonna be popping by now I have a nice breakfast and then you wander down to the only walking Street in town I'll introduce you to my buddy noon who's got the funkiest wackiest wildest coffee shop ever in the afternoon we're gonna walk through this jungle Trail over to the neighboring tonsai Beach it's right around the corner from Raleigh Beach Raleigh Beach is just up around that corner this beach is framed in by Garden chewing prehistoric Limestone Cliffs and then we're gonna walk out behind tansai into a little Hillside hippie Village in the jungle that almost no tourists go and see I'm gonna walk a jungle Trail up and over and back to Rally that one's a bit strenuous so if you're not up for that then you can spend the afternoon just exploring Raleigh West by yourself believe me it's an easy place to kill a few hours you meet for sunset at Raleigh Beach West with a couple of ice cold beverages for what will hopefully be the best Sunset you've ever seen in your whole life then I'll take you out for a night introduce you to all my local Raleigh friends and you'll have a night to remember it's going to involve some good drinks some live music and uh some wacky people that's for sure then suddenly it's day four and the Magical Mystery Tour continues just when you're thinking to yourself there can't be another place on Earth that's as beautiful as Raleigh West well I'm going to take you to one that is where you'll be staying in one of these floating capsules we're in here for just one night but you're gonna feel like you've just taken a trip to Jurassic Park the day is going to include a super long boat ride through Town Lake and this might be the Pinnacle of the entire week-long trip it's something that just will impact you emotionally this is a place beyond words and one that you just have to see with your own eyes to believe day five we make the journey from Cal sock to one of my favorite places on Earth and my home Island Koh Samui we take the ferry over and we get there just before Sunset and you're going to get to the hotel and check in and then go to the funnest local Thai restaurant that you've ever been to it's Mr ung's you have to experience it to believe it it's my local spot I'm not going to say too much about it because really you got to meet Mr UNG and his alter ego Lisa [Music] Lisa come back now and then on day six you get to sleep in a little I mean hell you've earned it and then just after lunch we're gonna go to my buddy bung's house buns my best Thai friend in the whole world and you're gonna get to know him real well he's an enigma wrapped in a riddle he's a guru and he's gonna be serving up beers and gin he might roll a couple if for those of you out there who want to partake in that sort of thing he'll let you putt on his indoor putting green in his house one two three we say golf with fun one two three golf with and after bungs it's a wild Night Out in chiwang yeah this is samui's most touristy area but it's quite the party so you can hit the Art Bar you can hit the Green Mango the black Club all kinds of stuff just be prepared for a really really fun night day seven we head to my good buddy Nigel's house where two things are gonna happen first disc golf and second a barbecue here's Chef Nigel hello hey guys welcome what do you got behind us here oh we've got a few chickens in here let me show you oh my God look at this yeah there you go wow some beer can chickens I see Pro disc golfers behind us here look at this look at this big disc golf event well maybe she's the next Pro maybe we got the next one then we're gonna leave Nigel's head over to a beach in Samui that not many tourists know about but it's one of the most beautiful beaches best beach on Samui for Sunset and then we'll go out for a farewell dinner where you're gonna sit back and talk with everyone else in your group in amazement about what you experienced that week from Phuket to Raleigh to cow sock
