[Music] thank you [Music] so it's just story management so yeah we scrape with every milking so traction box scraper scrapes into a central Network here which then connects I think it's about three is it about 400 foot in total from from one end to the other yeah straight into a lagoon we did have and we have hard working for the last five years a store scraper in the bottom of the channels to keep everything moving that has as we're talking about sand and wearing parts that has now broken to the point where it's actually worn through the concrete in the base of the concrete channels and is now bent reinforcing bar up so it no longer is functional okay um so the best thing we we're planning on doing with this now is all of our dirty water from the Parlor is collected yeah and then that is flushed through at the end of every milking and it does just keep it moving just about enough okay um hopefully then we'll only have to dig it out sort of every six weeks or so great to network is that stepped or is it just a flat surface the hallway with a small boiler one step one step is fairly fairly flat yeah some wines were coming up today where the slurries ultimately finishing up yes yeah so you've moved to um Steel that was great as opposed to maybe concrete ones it's just easier left is it when you're 150 percent easier for lifting yeah bigger sections and um when you are taking them out you're not risking damaging them every time you're taking them out so um yeah okay so with a big Lagoon here anywhere how many million gallons any idea in there I think this one's four isn't it I think so yeah I think the first one so yeah everything goes into this first Lagoon uh sort of four million gallons um and then was it about five years ago we built the second one yeah about five six years ago we built second one left of clay wall in the middle there's a bit of a weeping wall so the idea is that the sand settles into this one and dirty water flows over onto the into the second one okay and we then have a third small Lagoon because of differences in Heights and levels and that collects all about that's all of our drainage for effluent from the side edge clamps right okay and then yeah we're digging with pumping and umbilical in and tanking out of here onto mace doubles and grassland all through the winter and then as Dad said before we dig it out twice a year all the sand and solids out twice a year at the minutes yeah um which goes on to May's doubles and uh before reseeding potentially looking to put in a separating system to separate out the solids and maybe then a sand Lane to try and separate out the sand before it goes into the Lagoon so we're just pumping liquid there not not too much solid so yeah so we're here in early februino so it's there's a lot of activity now with tractors and tanks yeah so they've just finished um last week we had four tankers going to 200 Acres of ground we have a few miles away um they've been nurse tanking up there and then another Farm which we own up the roads they've been filling that all winter we have just built another Lagoon up there to umbilical out to get slurry out quicker in the summer after each gutter silage yeah and with the dry weather where we're at at the minute we are now just tanking onto maze stubbles so okay ready for the spring walking by day wondering if there's medicine I can take me crazy I call it fade [Music] I'm thinking [Music] my heart so in terms of the value of story is it important for you for me it's grown and stuff like that is it a big value for you massively yeah yeah yeah so the equipment we're looking at do you do your own story or do you do it so the first track is ours um we run sort of three John Deere's uh one on Feed and one on track on field work and then one which does a bit of yard work and sort of a backup that can feed as well um and then everything else so all of our slurry management apart from our one tanker is contracted out all of our silage harvesting is contracted out but then we do all of our own ground preparation for reseeds and Maze so okay all the contractors do with maze just come in and drill it okay yeah yeah some maze has grown as a crop we just buy it as a crop contract being on the other Farms that they do the work on those yeah and you grow under plastic or no no no no no need for it or you can't the cost is too great uh it's about 100 120 pounds an acre yeah and uh rent another acre okay so if you can get one right okay yeah yeah so scrapers anyway graveyard of scrapers yeah it's always handy to have them there because it's uh you never know what spares a you can get off them but we are we are due visit from scrap man at some point as well yeah um yeah it's pretty new anyway is that the type we always keep it yeah so seven foot six box scraper in the main sheds yeah on a Kubota scraper tractor um and then in our older style sheds where we've done the far off dry cows um we have a six foot six Scraper on a slightly smaller tractor there so yeah and they're slightly narrower passageways yeah so you're running two loaders then in the yard is that right yeah over here we have a Schaefer for uh all of the yard work and young stock work so that does everything around here and traveling up to the other Farm to feed youngstok uh that does all the sanding and then the JCB does all of the heavy Works who does all the feeding basically um feeding lugging straw yeah it's pretty new to that one is it yeah we tend to change them every sort of two years okay yeah yeah you're a fan of jcb's I do like them yeah visibility is brilliant out of it which is which is a key factor yeah and local dealerships are the backup's pretty good yeah and telescopic for the obviously for the haters yeah very yeah yeah yeah okay [Music]
