Slime Room Tour! Teen Gets DIY Slime Lab! | Get Out Of My Room | Universal Kids

oh look at my chandelier hi i'm genesis and i'm 11 years old i make my own slime which is adding some glue and i love arts and crafts okay so this is our room [Music] i guess you can see it's like split into two colors two colors why is that we couldn't decide which color we wanted all around the room we have two very different personalities i like brighter colors and like neon flashing lights [Music] i like subtle colors not too like in your face okay jenna says let's talk about your side this is where i keep my slime and my art supplies this is my pink slime i call it strawberry slime it's like stretchy this one has purple glitter in it do you want to feel it wait how do i get this off of me i've been thinking of some design ideas for your sister's room but i definitely want to hear your thoughts what do you think genesis would want in her dream room well genesis loves to color turquoise and doing arts and diy projects so we'll give her a huge space so she can spread out and she can do her art projects and of course have room for slime ooh genesis would love that what else she also wants a bed with storage and a reading area with a canopy okay those are great ideas i love them but we have a lot of work to do so let's get going yes girl we got right to work transforming genesis's new room first we swap dowdy brown for bold turquoise what do you think of the new color doesn't it feel brighter and bigger yes and gabby helped me paint the trim looking good and now we've got a project that will bring even more color to genesis's new space [Music] hey claire hey guys what's going on claire i am in the middle of a project and i need your help we are gonna make some decorative yarn balls for genesis room and we can add some tiny fairy lights to some of these smaller ones to create a cool light fixture let's do it we're going to blow up some balloons mix together some glue and water dip our colorful yarn into it wrap it around the balloon hang it up to dry and pop it i have the balloons here what color do you want i want this one purple uh-huh whoever is the first to blow it up and tie it and place it on the table wins you gotta oh you're she's cheating okay okay go [Music] my faker victory [Laughter] now it's time to add the glue and water mixture i'm gonna dump in equal parts water and glue you can dunk the whole yarn ball into the bucket just make sure you keep it in there long enough for the yarn to really soak up all the glue and just start wrapping have fun with it it doesn't need to have any sort of pattern to it i like the swirl that you're doing on yours it's a good spiral it's looking really great love it once we think that it's finished we just snip yeah set and hang to dry i already did these a while ago so we can pop them and take them and string them with [Music] lights huh it wasn't nearly as exciting as i was hoping it's the perfect pop of color [Music] genesis needs more storage so gabby and i are putting together a bookshelf headboard all you're doing is putting it to that mark pressing the trigger nice and slow sweetness and i'm installing it in her new room i'm going to use a stud finder to find a stud for the wall to secure the headboard how a stud finder works is you go at it from one side until it beeps and then you mark it and you go from the other side until it beeps mark that and that center portion is where your stud is and that's where the screw is going to go solid now the design squad can get it painted before the rest of the furniture comes in okay gabby i came up with an amazing surprise for genesis's new room i thought we could make our own fab slime today i have water glue baking soda and tons of glitter here we go first things first we need to add one cup of water next a cup of glue half a tablespoon of baking soda do you cook yeah i love to cook do you love to bake yeah it's not like baking she can't eat it fun to play with not to eat no matter how pretty it looks now let's add some glitter to give the slime some color oh yours is really pretty yeah we're gonna add two tablespoons of saline solution so that the glue is no longer sticky perfect start mixing oh this looks so pretty oh yeah it's definitely thickening up [Music] can i touch it yeah [Music] oh my gosh yours is so sparkly you have every shade of purple possible so are you a slime convert i might be genesis we'll be thrilled almost there here we go oh my gosh we're here are you ready we're ready let's go hey guys how's it going everything welcome back are you excited to see the rooms oh yeah yeah all right let's get inside [Music] okay genesis how are you feeling are you excited i'm so ready i cannot wait to see it your new room oh this is so cute that's so cool what is this you wanted a space to be creative so you have a whole slime laboratory complete with glue glitter and all colors of dye oh my gosh this is so cool genesis i made this slime for you it's purple so you can remember me while we're in our separate rooms now it's really pretty did you have fun making slime i actually enjoyed it yeah there you go oh look at my chandelier oh my gosh do you want to try out your bed yes it's actually really comfy and your sister also helped us make your storage for your headboard i did thank you so much gabby and look little reading nook and they have a couch with a can of things can you try your couch she's so comfy jenna says so we made these yarn balls for you we removed the balloons dipped the yard and glue wrapped it around the balloons and then popped the balloons and then you get those it's really pretty let me just break it down for you your sister who doesn't like mess made slime tie-dyed and played with glue for you for you thank you so much gabby you're very welcome
