Skyrim Stream: Trying a Conjuration/Illusion Character

and we should be live how's everyone doing today so the video is finally out i figured um might as well do a little live stream it's been been almost a week since it's been out i'm better now that you're streaming that's a that's the right answer that's what i like to hear there's a lot of people in here so this stream might turn into a uh a speed run because we got like severe thunderstorms in my area right now so i'm gonna try and get some stuff done before the storm knocks out all my power actually should be fine i almost never lose power during a thunderstorm any goals for today so the goal is at the end of the um at the end of this video i mentioned that i want to do a conjurer illusionist build so it's basically what i'm gonna do i figured i don't really know if there's anything that's gonna even be worth recording so when when i'm in a situation like that i like to just live stream is because then i'll wind up pulling the vods if i actually need the footage or not so make youtube host the videos rather than me like you know holding on to like 50 gig gigabytes of uh footage that i might not use [Music] um i don't really know i don't really have a game plan for this thing because i don't want to jump into any content that i haven't played yet on my uh on my main characters so right now i have three playthroughs going counting this one i have um the canonical uh warrior that's going to be for um featured primarily in the second video um she's a sword and board orc and so far i've been having a lot of fun playing that character a lot more fun than i thought i was gonna have playing a sword and board but it turns out that those that that uh character that sort of builds is kind of easy to uh you can bully bully npcs uh bully the ai pretty hard which is the shield so i've i've got some like some nice footage already of me like bullying them and uh throwing them off of ledges and stuff by just shield bashing them over and over again so that's gonna be the next video i think is gonna be very positive because i'm actually having a lot of fun with that second video the second character is a two-handed kinda spell sword um mostly the the gimmick with that character is two-handed weapons with um two-handed weapons with uh what was it elemental fury so he can swing swing the weapon really fast and then become ethereal and cloak spells so basically what this does is um for those of you who don't know you can activate cloak spells and then go become ethereal and you can literally just stand next to enemies and just kill them and they can't do anything to stop you and somebody my discord told me about this sword that you get in dragonborn uh it has it's like it's a two-handed sword and when you like uh when you swing it you do like power attacks with it it throws off this like um this energy beam sort of thing and uh that also doesn't break become ethereal so the gimmick with this character is to get it to the point where it can run around with this sword with like a cloak spells activated and become ethereal and just literally kill things without anybody even able like even able to do damage to him and even if they can he is specking also an alteration so i'm stacking like um shield spells and stuff on that character too so basically he's just unkillable it's just an unkillable two-handed two-handed wielding monster and it's hilarious that that that character's been really fun to play but um today we're just going to be doing this conjure illusionist because i said during the uh at the end of the video that i want to do this character i don't really know what i'm going to be using so that other warrior character the two-handed warrior is definitely going to be featured at least in the combat section of the next video because two-handed is you know it's part of combat part of melee so that's why i had to create him anyway because you can't really do the whole combat experience on one character so but i'm not really going to be getting into much i don't i don't know if i'm gonna make a story firm or something he might just be like just pops up with just like footage while i'm talking about the thing are you gonna be doing the ebony blade with that one too it has the speed of one-handed weapons despite being two-handed i'm i'm gonna just try and make this character as broken as possible so i'm i'm i'll look into basically anything that can uh i can make this character even dumber is that's that's how you got to have fun with vanilla skyrim coming to the conclusion you just you just got to break the game i can use the extra characters to talk about certain side quests yes so i think the two-hander i'm going to run through the imperial line of the civil war and i'll probably use him for footage for that stuff illusion is terrible in all other squirrels games i'm gonna try and figure something out with this character it's gonna be rough though i don't know if we're even gonna get too much illusion this stream because like you need a lot of perk investments just to make illusion remotely viable so it's gonna be it's gonna be kind it's gonna be rough going with the illusion side but i'm also using uh contoured bound sword and that's already proving to be stupidly powerful i'm playing on expert and this character literally just bodies everything and i have lydia's backup too just in case [Music] um yeah i guess we'll hang out and chat for a little while longer this right got an active chat so hang out answer any questions you guys might have if you haven't watched the video i mean you know watch your stream first and watch the video later but yeah i'm using the unofficial patch with this character no other mods just the unofficial patch and uh i also disabled so in the um in the previous video i said i had a mod that disables kill cams um i turned that mod off thinking kill cams were fixed turns out they're not they're still broken but it's not nearly as bad with um if you're not using magic and oh god i just i hate i hate kill cams getting one shot by enemies when you're like 75 percent health is it's just not fun i don't know who okayed that design decision but that's definitely getting lit up in the second video an official patch should be considered vanilla by this point i mean yeah and no there's a lot of things that they just they patch that really they shouldn't have like being able to eat my summons with uh with like um spell absorption in the astronaut stone i feel like that should have remained but unless i i don't know but i recommend people play skyrim vanilla for their first experience yeah i would that's basically it for almost every game definitely that's the thing i would recommend installing skyrim ui or sky ui and the unofficial patch if it's your first playthrough absolutely i wouldn't really consider it a vanilla experience but it's definitely a more optimal experience for first time players is the skse website down i do not know even todd likes sky ui yeah it's it's a shame they uh they had you know three expansions a bunch of new releases all this all these opportunities for them to at least put some of sky ui's uh influence into vanilla skyrim and they just didn't unofficial patch makes the ebony bleed slower yeah exactly it's like the unofficial patch for oblivion is fantastic because all it does is just fix it just fixes bugs which in oblivion is absolutely necessary especially when there's so many so many quests that are just straight up broken where they're almost borderline incompletable at least at least if you're playing unpatched you're playing vanilla skyrim unpatched i don't i'm not really aware of any like serious game breaking bugs that are going to like soft lock you or lock you out of quests and stuff like that i mean i'm sure they exist but they're a lot less prevalent yeah and they capture zargo chain cool yeah exactly it's it's downs it's it's a preferential such a preference really rather than being necessary like i almost want to i want to uninstall it and do a run where i just have it uninstalled but i just i have enough skyrim playthroughs going right now i also want wanted i really been wanting to go back and play oblivion a little bit too i was working on a um i was working on a mod pack back in like february that kind of fixes a lot of the issues that uh that oblivion has especially with its like level scaling and like leveling system and stuff like that and the results were very uh surprising it actually played very well and i've been meaning to go in and just do like a few playthroughs with that stuff installed and like make a little video around it or something but isn't eating summons with atronach nonsensical i mean yeah but at the same time it's like if if bethesda hasn't patched it it's one of those things where i feel like i think their philosophy towards fixing bugs is like if you can if a average player can run into it then you should probably fix it that's that's why they probably didn't fix like a lot of the um exploits with and with like enchanting and alchemy is because you kind of have to go out of your way to fix like find that and make it work with the atronach stone and just you know spell absorption in general just eating your summons if they haven't fixed it at this point it seems like they're kind of endorsing that that's part of the gameplay experience that's that's kind of the intended experience which is kind of frustrating when you're playing like uh like on this character this conjurer i def i definitely wouldn't want to put the atronach stone on this character because summoning my weapon and then it being eaten and just me being defenseless would be kind of a pain in the ass especially when like a fight first breaks out removing all level skilling and skyrim is the best you get situations where you're clearly not ready and you come back when you're more experienced yeah i mean even even with um even with its current uh level scaling in skyrim if you're playing on like a higher level on a higher difficulty like expert master and beyond you'll still run into those situations where it's like maybe i should just get the [ __ ] out of here and come back later but i mean it's it's still skyrim so you can just power your way through it but especially with um with melee characters i was getting filtered pretty hard when i was playing my sorting board character uh especially against especially against the trolls you know i was going up to high rothgard i was getting filtered by those trolls a little bit i was glad i wasn't running like um i wasn't running footage at the time so i just kind of sat there and just kept going through it over and over again so i persevered and you know broke through but i was genuinely surprised uh i guess we'll get started i don't know it's getting dark outside now the storms are like right above me all right let's kill the music all right that's like a lot louder on my end than i expected actually gonna drop the master volume a bit um all right i did want to see i should be on yeah i'm on expert with this character she's surprising because she's already kind of doing well combat-wise so i played i played a bunch of her played for like two hours last night off-camera just to get set up so this is what we are rolling with see this is this is my next thing i need to get this level of uh novice solution so i can actually start to use illusion spells on my illusion character i really don't know how you're supposed to start off with illusion i i don't think you can i don't think you can like come right out of the gate swinging with illusion which is weird because high elves start with a fierce spell i think i think it's a fierce spell and i wonder if they can even cast that yeah illusion is definitely easy to grind but if you want to avoid the grind so i always feel guilty when i just start grinding in these games it always happens because i you know former runescape player grinding is literally the game yeah rally would probably be the only thing you could really can cast at like level i think they start like level 20 illusion or something right i mean they have like plus 50 magicka but i still don't think that's to be enough to even cast that freaking thing i got to check that now i got to see if a starting high off can actually cast that freaking that starting illusion uh spell cause that'd be hilarious if you can't this is basically it um i i don't really even know on my sword and board character how deep into this tree i'm gonna go like i probably should do tests to see if these if like the meme is true and that all of these are like basically worthless uh i also don't know how i'm gonna handle dual dual wielding because i refuse to do like a full character with that i did that once years ago did a full like dual wield character and it was [ __ ] miserable yeah see this is this is actually pretty cool uh work i have this on my two-hander and um that's a good thing to open up with this is also not a bad thing on this character though i'm definitely just staying down here just dump it in a point maybe i'll get the maybe i'll like get uh get this perk for the uh less stamina cost so i'm trying not to invest into stamina because i have to invest so much into magicka and health and then i'm using light armor so so basically this character is light armor one-handed uh enchanting because of course enchanting's a universal skill for me alteration i'll probably put some points into restoration at least getting to recovery respite might not be a bad thing but it requires 40. so i don't know if i'm even gonna get to that with this character uh skip and destruction conjuration and illusion might do a little bit of alchemy depends now that i know how to power level alchemy really fast uh i feel like i can do alchemy on any character it's literally so i was doing a test the other night to i was testing my claim where where i said in the video you can set up alchemy to like power level within like two hours and that really is only the case if you know exactly where to go for everything for all your regions because fine because surprisingly collecting garlic turned out to be a little bit more complicated than i was expecting but um i still wasn't far off it's about two to three hours you can max out alchemy no problem by just using salmon roe garlic and nordic barnacles actually you don't even need the garlic i found out um the garlic definitely helps but even with just salmon row and nordic barnacles you make potions at like level 15 you'll be making potions that are worth like 1k gold the rain started on my channel we could go and you're loving the content and good time to find the channel i'm gonna try and uh read chat because that's what that's what we're really here for is just uh to interact you're planning a lot of sneak into conjuration illusion for about no i'm not gonna bother with sneak on this character i'm trying to avoid stealth pretty much entirely until um this next video is done so there's like a lot of content that i have like blacklisted right now i'll definitely this is definitely i i got a lot more characters i gotta play through basically sneak sneak will get its its chance that's the thing when i was one what i've been wondering is when i get to the stealth characters what am i even going to be investing perk points into because like lock picking is a [ __ ] joke like what what do we have for lock picking right it's such a big look at this it's such a big [ __ ] tree too and it's it's a it's a pretty ah nah i won't say it's well designed because you have to go like i don't know actually i don't know because i like i like perk trees that branch off like this but it's like you can you can pick master locks at level 15 lock picking so what's the point of these perks like pick start closer at the opening position okay lock picks never break cool you just get the skeleton key i mean i i guess if you want to actually turn in the skeleton key then 50 chance of finding treasure special treasure that might be useful kind of well see that's at 70 lock ping by the time you have 70 lock picking money and like finding trash and shit's kind of worthless find more golden chests at level 60 like uh i wonder how this stacks with um with the imperials racial because they i think they get like plus 50 extra golden chest or something like that and i know they find extra golden chests able to pick locks without being noticed or even just be good and then wax keys just automatically gives you a copy of a picked lock i guess i guess i'd be useful if you're constantly breaking into shops but shop what's the max level that you could find on a max level lock you can find on a shop anyway it's usually like apprentice if you can't get through an apprentice lock consistently you got problems and pickpocketing see pickpocketing i want to mess with because of this one poisoned you can put poisons into people's uh inventory and then just one shot them carrying capacity increased by 100 50 if you're in survival mode like that's that's all right actually it's not bad pickpocketing keys almost always works almost always works i like the ambiguity that is such that right there is skyrim in a nutshell that's skyrim ui in a nutshell right there we're not going to give you any numbers just almost always works you can't pickpocked equip weapons that's that's pretty okay and can pickpock equipped i see these are just these are just for cheesing and i i approve i approve of that i feel like pickpocketing is just straight up it's just meant for cheesing that move for this so pickpocketing might actually be pretty cool for the sneak character because it might be pretty funny speech-to-speech i mean the only thing i really ever care about is merchant so you can just sell everything investor's okay too but see the thing is like if i have merchant do i really need an investor i can sell basically everything to weapon vendors and be fine pickpocket is fun to mess with but ultimately pointless yep that's basically what i'm assuming but i think this character my main stealth character is probably going to have a lot of remaining perk points anyway so uh i don't know pickpocket might be like the dump stat really the one that i get all the training in and just like all my uh skill trainers from just dump it into that i don't know uh but yeah let's actually i guess do something so what i need to know trying to figure out is what shouts i'm even going to be using on this character hey gwet shout synergizes well with a conjuration illusionist i guess i could go with the illusion the illusion overlap shouts like the calming one considering i can't [ __ ] cast illusion spells right now pickpocketing is better in fallout because of explosives also lock picking is better in fallout because they actually gate the locks behind your left your like your character levels and stuff actually requires you to invest into pickpoc into lock picking so like in fallout i always invest into lock picking is either you invest in a lock picking or um what is the other one hacking and so i always go with lock picking but in this game i never invest i never invest into uh lock picking uh right i wanted to break that down real fast just uh let's just fast travel right let's have to figure out what houses i'm gonna be using my next uh characters i think i want to talk about hearthfire in the next video i really want to get hearthfire in the last video so i want to do hearthfire on each in each video so one for each character and cover one plot per character per video but i just couldn't really work it in yeah this is the best part i can't cast solution spells and i have a ring that reduces the cost of illusion spells so illusion's gonna be rough it's gonna be a rough one for sure i don't even know how am i going to train this thing i don't i really don't want to sit there and just grind it because that's what i can do i can go and just get muffled and just sit there and grind it and get up to like level 50 illusion and then call it a day and then start to use it but i want to i want to do this the way the way the designers intended and train this skill like diegetically so how do we do that all right i also need to figure out where i'm even going you got the whole world to explore you know i [ __ ] i really should have made like a short list here we go get i guess we'll go to iverstead [ __ ] it i kind of want yeah i could use i could use all three levels of unrelenting force on this character uh i could also probably become used become ethereal as well so yeah we'll we'll go do that we're gonna we're gonna do the uh the lovely walk my favorite part of the main quest oh you know what i'm gonna do so i noticed when i was um oh it is already turned down all the way down all right i gotta drop my dps then so i noticed when i was doing some editing from one of my live streams i have a tendency to like whip my camera around a lot and for me when i'm playing it's fine when i was sitting there trying to edit it i was like actually having to watch the footage i'm like this is [ __ ] awful i'm making myself nauseous uh right okay so how does this go um all right i guess my sword is invisible okay why is it invisible there you go i'm trying to remember my hot keys and stuff i set them up at like one in the morning last night so i can't remember [ __ ] um i think on this character what are that is what you benin told us about our master he's cozy in his solitude the master has gone but her venom would find him dear venom should not have gone i didn't know that this was a random event uh damn i got distracted by that that was even saying i love that i love when uh skills like alteration level up when i'm not using it one of the best one of the best changes they made to uh magic in this game damn this the clothes like the shield spells expires so [ __ ] fast though i definitely need perks to extend that [ __ ] and dual casting this character this character's got oh right standing stones that's why i wanted it i don't know what standing stone i should do with this character uh please stop that so this is a this is a fun creation club uh spell right here i'll demonstrate it real fast so consumes all magicka and summons an undying ghost for 60 seconds the ghost's attributes are equal to twice the amount of magicka consumed up to 600. so this thing can actually be pretty [ __ ] powerful what's interesting too is like you can summon it when you're low magic why didn't that didn't even consume my oh there we go that was weird it was really delayed so you can like pop that thing off at any time and it's just gonna affect how powerful it actually is i think that's a pretty neat mechanic uh where we going right going up to the uh stormcloak base up here and you can't one shot a skeever i guess i can't either there's got to be a way to increase the duration of that summon though uh where's the path miss unlimited training i do too skyrim definitely would benefit from more skill training so i'm thinking maybe astronaut stone on this character that might help with the illusion so i'm really going to be using illusion for is crowd control lydia's keeping up never doubt her am i playing on a default fov ah i'm 95. i think what is default fov i think it's 75 yeah skyrim you don't want to go too high with the fov because you'll have all sorts of like weird clipping issues so i usually like to play it like 95 on most games am i no see i'm getting turned around so i'm sitting here reading chat fov resets and if you fast travel i don't i don't have that issue i think um it's depends on the the fov setting that you change so you have to chain in the um i and i have to change like default fov or something like that and that will make it so that even if you fast travel and like open up different ui elements and stuff it will stay the same so i just changed that ui element i i chuck every every uh so often i'll just sit there and type in the type in the command just to see if it fixes it it's usually pretty good so i'm thinking a knock on this character or i could go necromancer i could go necromancer on this character rather than doing like uh summons i could do necromancy instead i think that might i think that might gel on let's see let's go to the conjuration tree so i'm definitely getting like these because i'm using conjured weapons oh i should definitely get this next level up actually i'm gonna need these because i'm using these spells to start start combat so maybe conjuration dual casting see can summon atronach series like this is kind of a meme i don't really need that level the duration contradiction knocks are 50 percent more powerful greater duration for reanimated or summoned undead and undead have 12 points more health and then of course gotta get to twin souls yeah i think i'm gonna do necromancy on this character so maybe i should maybe i should have gotten the conjurer stone or something i kind of like to the first what the [ __ ] my frame rate just like once like one for a second there um for my first few levels i like to just play with one of the oh that's just a [ __ ] fox i thought that was a saber cat um i like to play with one of the first standing stones you know the mage thief warrior just to get a character started as fast as possible and then like after around like level 15 i'll think about switching to something else so it's either gonna be the astronaut or the necromancer all right where's that freaking yeah there's there's the there's the troll this time i got lydia with me and i have a wolf oh sweet i got a level up too so my wolf uh lydia and there you go i gotta i gotta keep that shield spell up though uh nah it's it's going down pretty hard wow yeah all right i was literally level 12 on my sword and board character same difficulty up against that troll and it i was i was stuck on that troll for a good like five minutes ah right doing some mining here we're gonna do the uh like every character the uh transmute transmute stack or the transmute grind i should say i really hate that so this this is this is something that i'm gonna have to complain about in the video so i have this pickaxe right i want to switch to bound weapons what's into my my left hand i feel like bound weapons should automatically default to right hand where it should look and be like like i'm not going to go into combat with a [ __ ] pickaxe like come on i wish there was like a way for us to set which uh which hand spells and weapons will default into alright uh i see something in the background there is it coming at us trouble is my legs aren't what they really here take this bag not today i'm just not ready that's let's cause a little bit of chaos let's see if yeah there we go look at clement just going hard with his steel [ __ ] dagger no armor don't kill clement i need him i need the reward uh i guess i'll keep collecting the pelts i don't even know if i'm gonna be bothering with uh with smithing with this character aside from making jewelry i always forgot how bad normal skyrim looks dude the dragons the dragons uh i think they still have like l.e textures on them they're so bad especially the ones in dragonborn i had like a picture and it was it was pretty bad because i know they upscaled some of the textures for uh you know like uh newer versions and [ __ ] just remembered uh let's see what are we doing i i need magicka i need magicka bad let's just stack more damage like how lydia i attack something and then it'll run down there and lydia will catch it look at her just waiting there [Laughter] lydia does not flinch uh i really don't feel like doing this in the dark i'll teach you guys a a little trick so if you if you're on pc and you're you know using mouse and keyboard left click drag this to whatever time you want keep holding left click hold e drag it all the way down to the end let go bam i'll do it again so go in hold left click drag it all so we're just going to skip a whole day so i'm still holding left click hold e down to the end let go [Laughter] i uh i may have used that a lot for some of the grinding on my two-hand character and my work character a little bit too see bethesda bethesda does love mouse and keyboard users just a little bit oh god oh oh no this isn't this isn't what i want lydia video please it knows it knows who is uh not it's [ __ ] off though it knows who the bigger threat is is it yeah it's regening health it's like anything that has ice in its name does it just like automatically region health because ice trolls or frost trolls rather reach in health check the inventory menu oh good idea so doing 23 damage with this isn't bad for this level i wonder if that is i wonder if that accounts for my two points in uh blah blah blah one-handed mastery such a good kill animation but he gets for harm in the goats only we can harm the goats ah [ __ ] i should have been hitting the tablets oh well no animal allegia what is what is it um blessing of the sky or something like that yeah trolls regen in general yeah so i think but ice wolves also reach in what the [ __ ] is attacking us that's another ice wolf um oh my weapon disappear my i've been despawned that's something i got to get used to see that's the problem with this character is like you'll be running around and suddenly your weapon just disappears but i'm probably immune to disarm right yeah i know i know the perks affect it i don't know if it displays that information in the ui though still get disarmed no way i mean it'd be less annoying anyway if i get disarmed with this because it's just you know summon it again that's so silly that's so dumb i bet that's an oversight too come on unofficial patch where are you on fixing that i'm getting disarmed even though it's a bound weapon it's like magically attached to me i really should be uh this nice voice crack what i should be doing is throwing down summons more often and set down troll see how fast it one shots the wolf instant yeah keep focus on lydia there that's what she's that's what she's there for uh okay hi oh he's gonna he's gonna get me uh and there goes my sword lydia uh i probably need like a heel other spell do i have a stronger no i don't it's just oak flesh i think oak flesh alone nukes my magicka anyway so probably be able to cast it but all right so we're not gonna bother with the puppy here i don't think he's gonna do much good do i have i have the flame astronaut i don't think i i might be able to summon it 123. damn it do i have a potion to increase my magicka no damn it is this blocking i'm not doing any blocking and i'm not using two ended weapons this would be great for uh for my other characters not on this one though all right i really don't have anything to use against this oh we got we got close on wait we're uh oh it's hanging out up there okay all right lydia just just don't go down that's all right there we go there we go that's that's how it's done we got a couple of those uh a couple of those hops in there which i just got some cheap shots in shield is broken broken good ah yeah i've i've come to the light that is the shielded shielded life i mean even just investing in a block with like a two-handed weapon is still like really powerful but the shield is fantastic i love it i'm a shield lover now in my other videos am i going into werewolf and vampire mechanics absolutely um the next video is going to have a lot of dawn guard in it and that's probably going to be werewolf because uh i'm doing the companions as well so it seems like a fitting sort of you know they're just going to be the werewolf character and then the stealth character will be the vampire character but yeah definitely also because i just don't have much experience with that so i want to see it just for my own sake all right see clement gives us like 750 gold for this thing which ain't bad or something like you're you see him on the way here you're gonna run into him anyway all this really requires is just fast travel uh down to iverson at some point to get your money uh okay that's the second time that's happened to me i am now tell me dragonborn we are up we will do our best to teach that is for you to just uh all right let's let's hurry this up i think i've done this about five or six times now for this freaking video the worst is like i have to do it on every character because i want to talk about the different shouts on each character so each character has to be you know dragonborn i don't know if i'm actually gonna address that in some sort of like uh some sort of head canon for the videos or if i'm just gonna kind of ignore it i could do the quick save quick load thing come on there you go of doing this just get up in their faces and make them back up if only that worked on uh on you know followers like hilda i might not have gotten killed so so often by her as dragonborn as part of your initiation master einarth will allow you to tap into his understanding uh lydia you're probably not gonna want to stand there hey you know what i can do because she's a follower can't do that with pets all right you have to like so that's the annoying thing you order them and then you have to wait for them to complete the action oh [ __ ] it was disappearing i think well done again so i've never actually had the patience to sit here and see what happens this would have been a useful i guess yeah i guess they start to disappear huh you learn quickly once more i'm gonna see if it does just like short up disappear yeah this would have been a useful shout to have in game for the player putting down like a decoy dummy i mean they took okay they took inspiration from uh what's it called bioshock bioshock had a decoy dummy plasmid all right there we go once you get the quest marker yeah targets on me uh shout would be useful especially for a stealth character or even for like a character like this so the storms went away i guess uh because we don't have to worry about the stream getting shut down by power outages i think there's going to be more later yeah there's no category systems in the chest it's great uh i guess they figured all players would just um do that thing where they put like one category per chest and then they only uh but then they give you a house with only like um with two chests in it i think the house and white run i thought it was easy for everyone all right uh highest details but then like as it gets further away and further away it kind of just goes into like some sort of abbreviated form of ai so like with the dragons you can see when they start to go out the red dot will uh start to like jank out a little bit because it's not too sure where the thing even is anymore is this just approximating its location at that point so cool i got a i got i got ripped off didn't get the dragon soul like lod for ai yeah i imagine that's how it works that's that's what i'm assuming looking at behavior like that it makes sense i've always wondered how it runs background simulation for like npcs and other cities and stuff like completely unloaded areas flame astronauts are okay against dragons i find storm action ox be better yeah exactly um lightning is a hit scan so they're fine i mean they're better than i'll be able to hit them sometimes they are pretty good at predicting the uh the flight path but i prefer a uh all right let's did that kill there his [ __ ] for free and stuff i think uh characters that have a higher disposition are also less likely to report crimes that you commit against them all right we're not gonna do anything else related that with i think i actually did that with my two-handed character but i almost never do that so having it on a conjured weapon like this is uh pretty neat i'm gonna have to buckle down and do some transmutation soon no that's that's good but i don't think i'm even like what is my alteration 34 that is pretty far away from where i would like to be because uh transmute is an adapt level spell down battle axe is like a scythe you get that you get that sweep going it's kind of weird what they decided to make bound weapons and what aren't like why can't we get like a bound two-handed sword they're pretty distinct enough two-handed sword two-handed axe no bound mace no bound shield no bound armor round bow though the bound bow is its own [ __ ] play its own playthrough that would almost synergize better with the build that i'm going for right now to be perfectly honest maybe i should just start spamming the [ __ ] shield spell when i'm in uh when i'm in combat oh um i think we might many of those locations because it's just gonna feel really weird especially in a place like skyrim where it's like you know a lot of the environment is supposed to be inhospitable so it's like if it's inhospitable why why would there be so many different i mean you already have like a bunch of cities and everything like one for each hole dinner it and that's as many city sit quote-unquote cities i should say as like cyrodiil which already kind of seems out of whack i see that there we go that's what i was hoping to get and just one shot that dude i like this character i'm having fun i physics gets recalculated on all these static objects so like over the course of the playthrough this place just became increasingly more disheveled because it just like recalculates like these skulls so that's what i was wondering when i was doing the uh when i was doing my videos like how many people actually go through the way the um elder knowledge actually suggests you guys want to actually do looking a bit intense in there here's what i'm gonna do this might not be good yeah the action shot i don't remember why i i don't know why i remember having such a hard time with this dungeon i'm like just cruising through it right now here it is this is what we came for ready for the most obnoxious chest you've ever seen in your life actually it's not too bad it's not not that many here we can see all the all the spells homes added by uh the arcane accessories creation so they brought back absorb health uh i think there's a few different versions of it yeah it's got like strangulation a touch of death unbound storms the this thing is ridiculously good for training uh destruction you can use it to like exploit you know exploit it i wonder how much it even how much magic it even uses pride of here staying uh was this summons a bear for 60 seconds resist 50 of frost damage for 60 seconds and how 3 generates 50 faster for 60 seconds i mean might be useful i could see this being really useful against like a uh frost dragon that's the contrary is that the only conservation we got aurum's aquatic escape invisible for 15 seconds activating an object breaks the spell can breathe underwater for 15 seconds improve night vision for 15 seconds i don't know what this is supposed to be useful for is this for like if you're swimming in the water and you're trying to get away from enemies i really i really don't know what this is what the purpose of this is as opposed to fenrik's welcome which is obvious oh right now we don't have to [ __ ] lockpick anymore hell yeah unlock expert or lower level uh locks for five seconds and you also become invisible and these these are pretty nice too the elemental effects it's just uh fire oh really it's just fire and shock i thought it was actually firing fire for us in shock yeah these are very nice against uh spell casters and i've also found them pretty good against dragons as well uh penguins news just another absorb 30 seconds opponents in melee range take 16 points of fire damage per second undead up to level 26 flee for 30 seconds and it's a destruction spell so it's a destruction spell with a turn undead twist to it paralysis rune which is ridiculously broken because it's really cheap to pick to uh to cast so what are these even i don't even remember what these are supposed to do targets in melee range take 40 points of shock damage per second to health half that's magicka random lightning strikes deal damage uh an additional 30 damage is is that these will hurt your allies as well so they're kind of obnoxious and i would never use them now we just do this done i take the danger heart even though i'm not doing alchemy on this character never know when you need to date your heart oh what am i doing i i i just got fredrick's welcome done never lock pick again unless it's a master lock but right yeah because it's supposed to work on expert oh nice now i got alteration cross reduction do i want yes i want more magical okay we want that or do you want oblivion binding banish summon creatures and turn raised ones [Music] i'm gonna go with this i've never used it before might be worthless find out it won't hurt your allies if you get the thing from the black book i don't think that's actually the case i i'm almost positive it's still because i have that i have that hold on we're actually gonna test that right now i'm almost positive it still hurts your allies even in that situation uh i gotta switch characters to sirian uh go to meyer watch because that's where my followers are yeah you can load it i'm right behind you you lead i'll follow okay so i should have on this character this save the thing that makes it so that you don't hurt your companions your attack shouts and destruction spells do no damage to your followers when in combat now let's go outside for this [ __ ] i'm almost positive i was still hurting them oh here we got something to test this on too uh unbound storm uh something happened it's not even like a really good spell either that does not surprise me in the slightest it's creation club of course it's not going to work but i want to see if uh so i'm running the latest patch the unifi latest unofficial patch so i want to see all right i need you to wait here i want to see because i feel like they probably would have fixed that fix being able to do the fast travel thing but i didn't see it in the patch notes so i want to see real fast if it works or not still here's how you do it you just go cast it go into your map fast travel like i said i like to go between here and the shadowstone it'll get you up to like 95 from level 15. oh [ __ ] did it not oh right um hold on let me uh let me kill this lady first here have fun with this it's like not even a good spell it completely nuked my magica for for that to kill to kill an adept [ __ ] conjurer completely annihilates my magicka all right uh unbound storms let me legendary where are you into here then i can actually see my real my real level which is 26. kind of confusing it would be nice if it said it like here and then just have like a plus or something like that but at least it's only one menu away at least it's not hidden i can't believe i'm already up to 51 [ __ ] one-handed it's insane at 17 level 17 i'm already at 51. and conjuration that that's actually kind of serendipitous conjuration and one-handed are both 51 exactly and then you got illusion tailing behind god i don't know man this is so many [ __ ] perk points that i have to get to complete this thing just to make this just to make illusion like actually work i'm level 17 and i don't think i've cast a single [ __ ] i i casted one i casted courage once the pure illusion lifestyle is uh uh yeah mages do be needy needy i'm i'm ignoring i'm ignoring restoration for the most part i'm completely ignoring destruction but just conjuration and illusion together it's just like so many so many perk points can't play with vanilla perks anymore only with ordinator ordinator does a pretty good job but i remember there being some really busted stuff in that thing too like see the problem is the problem illusion always runs into is that why am i going to waste all of these perk points and stuff for just what basically amounts to just basic crowd control abilities when i'm already demonstrating just how powerful i am by just using a conjured weapon like i'm i'm using a f i'm using a conjured weapon for god's sakes and i'm i'm still just annihilating things this is this is why it's like i want to play a character that is just illusion but it's completely non-viable you literally start the game i still need to verify this but i'm almost positive ielts start with fear as uh they start with like fear or fury uh one of those two illusion spells but they won't be able to cast it because they won't have enough magicka i need to verify that but i'm almost positive that is the case like that that shows you what you're dealing with as an illusionist this school got screwed so badly in skyrim i don't think i got that across in the video just how just how like messed up illusion is but it's a fun school it's a problem when riley stops working illusion no longer makes sense the promise is like rally isn't even useful if you're using a house carl as a follower they're going to always fight to the death uthgard the unbroken also she's going to fight to the death pretty much so i'm unless she gets hit with a unless she gets hit with like um like a spell like a fury spell or a pacify spell or something like that there's no reason to really use rally on her and i think some of some of the illusion spells some of the uh some of those like buff spells will give them a little bit extra like health and stuff it is probably not even worth it you get fury based cash cost of 67 so you can cast it once as a high off at starting level you can cast it once yeah that's why you end up abusing muffle that's the problem that's that's that's where i'm at right now and bear in mind five of these points five of these level ups i accidentally bought because i thought i was i went to get conjuration training i accidentally spent it on illusion training instead so really natural i have i have a level i've 21 alte a 21 illusion right now naturally an illusion is supposed to be one of my main one of my main skills it really does encourage you to just sit there and spam muffle for like 20 30 levels chameleon char magic still existed yeah that would probably help this a little bit more if we had some more utility spells that's the other problem too is like illusion has like hardly any effects uh all right so what are we what are we even doing now oh i see somebody casting a i see a fight going on up here let's let's go check that out saw somebody casting a ward oh you you're all right this [ __ ] random barge beat the [ __ ] out of these two bandits lad and best daughter of dominant pain afraid not but if you're serious about sharpening that tongue you might try the part the best tales are those of adventure who could why to perform for my common man of god why to 10 minutes into it and you just wonder why aren't you just using a console command that's always the problem that i've had with grinding in like uh in elder scrolls games i mean i used to do it on on like uh the xbox 360 because i had no other options but in here it's like i could just console command all the money that i need and just save myself like the 15 minutes of sitting here oops drop that ruby this isn't this isn't too bad in case you're wondering how i'm pulling up my uh inventory real fast go into settings uh what is it controls that's under controls of course it's not under settings something different you got these things here which i feel like nobody ever talks about this part of the skyrim ui experience you have these like shortcuts that will take you to the inventory magic stats map so i just bound this to uh one of my mouse keys so i can bring up magic instantly inventory instantly which i rarely remember to use like the one thing i will say oh i'm out of war i should transmute nice uh where are you i'm still here what do you need to take i need 82 iron ore good god one thing i will say about the skyrim ui though is that i do like how seamlessly you can navigate just using like the like uh you know keys and stuff like that you know you just just double tap things although that kind of bothers me you go into the skills screen right and you hit down and it pulls you out completely so you have to hit tab again but i can do this and it goes back into the middle i guess the map gets locked out too so but going between here and here it's just like it's it's smooth at least at least it's got that going for it what's wrong with the i key it's it's far away on my on my keyboard i don't like having to move my hand away from wasd oh damn it accidentally made something into gold i'm probably not going to do this for all 60 [ __ ] uh iron we'll make a dent in this at least look at the stack that i got going can i can i get more let me see if i can get seen in my life see more developers should be especially on console increasing the fov so that it feels like the game moves faster because that's that's the trend now it's like especially in shooters you want your shooters to feel fast so just increase the fov to like 300 and uh yeah it'll definitely make for a great couch couch shooter experience uh where are we at nice we shoot through that real fast only like two level ups in alteration though trans b doesn't really give a lot of alteration xp alteration is actually a it's a weird skill because it naturally trains at a pretty decent level uh at a decent speed i should be out by now right yeah we're out uh yeah so it it naturally levels at a relatively acceptable speed but if you want to actually power level it there's not really any effective ways well this looks this looks acceptable this looks normal and you just sit here and spam e and left click at the same time and there you go this is actually giving me a headache now i need iron flash just yet probably won't be able to even reasonably cast it oh yeah i forgot i have paralysis room now too i guess this character would synergize well with paralysis this is a bit expensive to cast still though still cheaper than regular paralysis but all right uh stone flesh go to three all right uh i'll be right back don't uh don't do any transactions with anybody else while i'm gone need that money back regular one hand sword and regular paralysis and the other hand is a great playstyle it would work well with this character i think i'm really digging this character this might actually be the most fun character i've ever played vanilla skyrim anyway i don't know my two-handed warriors see the problem with my two-handed warrior is that it requires a lot of juggling of uh like it's a real pain in the ass whenever i want to cast spells because it's a two-handed it's a two-handed weapon so i can't like off-hand anything so i always have to put the uh put the sword away anytime i want to actually cast spells so that's kind of annoying but at the same time the two-hand weapon just surprisingly works well with a lot of magic especially like cloak spells and stuff all right so it's back to this [ __ ] sneak gold ring he's got he's gonna make off with a lot of my money unfortunately like i i i do like how fast i can do this with just uh it's just mouse and keyboard except when it gets stuck like that because i'm going too fast a greater soul gem filled to the petty soul that hurts all right uh i don't think i'm even gonna be getting more more training from the from him so i'm just gonna take this level up we're ready up to level 20. i started this character last night at like two in the or 12 in the morning and it's already up to level 20. 62 enchanting that's what i'm talking about and now we can get adapt alteration uh let me see is there anything else i really would prefer to get not really so now i can spam transmute even faster it's like once you commit to doing it it starts to build on itself more and more was that could i take a no i thought he said i was going to be able to take another level up and you guys better have done any transactions with him while i was away always encouraging to see take a look uh yes oh right i ran out of soul gems that's why i love watching how it prioritizes all right nice came out on a prof all right more artifacts maybe not is it under lore on the uesp there's a certain page that has some listed in a nice little chart one of your can when caller gives a free soul when you bring it back to the tomb back to the tomb went back to high roth car so i turned it into the graveyards didn't i they gave me the uh thing fortify conjuration illusion and alteration 20 that's exactly what i'm looking for actually vocon where is that located that that's literally like my three that's perfect in highgate ruins can i get a map there i think we're nearby too aren't we oh it's like right near uthguard potions that fortify illusion might be okay because that increases the effectiveness the level effectiveness of illusion spells i wonder how how high that even goes in vanilla skyrim it's like destruction fortified destruction it's like i got up to like plus 146 percent we could bring it back to you can bring the horn back to using gruff wait what do i still have it i thought he turned it into the yeah i'm using the unofficial patch alteration potion plus one hand potion wait what i didn't know this was a thing hold on let's go do that real fast you can return the horn and get a free dragon soul why would you even think to do that because they take the horn from you it's not in your inventory anymore yeah we can't do the restoration loop but i mean that's fine it's still back up this isn't anything right it's just yeah it's just i wonder what these stones are supposed to be there's got to be a lore video online that let a 30 minute lore video online that explains the uh the meaning of these stones here i gotta left up uh magical health feeling magica okay so i could increase this that like that's it's useful i wish i wish you could see what like the ultimate end is i'm assuming it's gonna be 30 but i wish there was a way for you to see like what the different ranks were actually gonna give you because like if you invest in it and then the next one's like 12 you'd kind of feel like you just got ripped off uh restoration i need to get to 40 for respite i think i got everything in conjuration uh no i have this adam's concentration you know what i'm i'm gonna be good and i'm going to put into illusion the class the this the skill that i'm supposed to be training on this class on this character all right trying to think what i was like but other equipment would work well for this character yeah restoration has that instant heal but that's at 100 restoration i think mark quest gives you 10 more more what spell resistance oh it's level 90 that you need to get to get instant instant uh healing yeah resistance to magic it's it's so easy to stack resistances in this game now you have that you have the dragon priest mask that makes you completely immune to poison and disease i think the insta heal doesn't even work properly i remember so if i remember correctly with that you can still get like one shot by enemies and stuff that's dragon dragonborn armor sets yeah they can still pull off the kill cams against you and the uh that insta and that honestly that's how i die most times that's usually how i'm getting killed as one of those insta kill kill cams yeah the immunity mask is it just is it just disease or like poisons or is it both i can't remember if it's either or if it's actually both because if it's both it's okay kind of a waste of a helmet slot but you know if you really wanted that [ __ ] you can get it yeah it's both the death brand set vampire werewolf it's not even like diseases and poisons are that scary to begin with i'm much more concerned with like uh elements and even then the only elements i really care about is fire and frost because the dragons i feel like i switch i should switch my standing stone now i can switch to atronach might also be useful as well from the ritual stone i don't remember how this one works exactly it's just like a once a day thing right this thing respawned too yeah we can [ __ ] around with this a little bit just raises all that around you and i don't for 200 seconds i don't think it even has like a a cap on the uh level of the bodies so if you're like you're surrounded by a bunch of dead death lords and you use this thing you just got yourself an army of death lords yeah it doesn't have a cat i [ __ ] did i did all that b-roll in uh in the video with this thing it's a fun fun ability to mess around with i i just feel like killing [ __ ] i just want to clear dungeons with this character let me see what can we do i don't want to like go up here and just do 50 more damage and you have two ranks of dual flurry you know what i might actually do dual wielding on this character illusion for crowd control [ __ ] because when when i'm actually sitting there when i get into combat and stuff i'm not really using i'm not doing much with my offhand maybe i'm using it to spam some like healing spells but whatever i'm not investing into freaking restoration anyway so i can just kind of uh all right invested a tiny bit really that's just for like like recovery and [ __ ] i might might get respite as well i should probably get regeneration honestly it literally fifty percent but you've sent more not a bad not a bad deal yeah awards are magic and efficient though it would like it would work with the character but i feel like i would need to get more invested into restoration i'm just not really willing to invest that deep in restoration when i have uh alteration and you know illusion i'm supposed to be working on i really should be putting some points into enchanting too i know maybe maybe i'll just skip enchanting i'll just keep using it the way i am right now yeah i could try and time the words yeah maybe maybe two hand is the way in which case gaiden is saying get uh get the death brand armor that that's in dragonborn right in the meantime i gotta gotta take all this gold how deep into dragonborn is that armor it's a reward for a dragon board side quest not too long oh wait is that that um it's that like soul steinium whatever [ __ ] armor you gotta get collect like all the different pieces and stuff yeah to get all four of them yay okay i remember i remember the armor you're talking about now uh we could do that i don't know about tonight though because it's already nine o'clock we could do that in a future stream head over to uh dragonborn i kind of wanted to see dragonborn at like a earlier level anyway so this might be a good excuse to do that you can access it right away that's good so i don't even have to do the uh quest not that dragonborn is even really that long i should also do that quiet if i'm if i'm there i should just do the black book quests too i didn't mean to take that cabbage am i still holding on to i remember i was collecting yeah i am holding on to all this [ __ ] to make uh make that veggie soup i really should uh get around to making that veggie soup that [ __ ] is kind of stupid overpowered effects are 40 points of carry weight 40 one hand damage water breathing 60 point stamina 100 points of extra armor that is uh pretty nice what is it that you said it was geared towards uh dual wielding though right is it just that 40 points uh the 40 one-handed damage so i guess if it's applied to two weapons oh it only works if you're dual wielding oh okay how much you want to bet it doesn't work for uh it doesn't work for conjured weapons it also gives two scimitars i mean eventually i'm going to have to uh drop the bound weapons i don't know if that's gonna happen while i'm playing this character though because i need to reach a decently high level in order for uh for bound weapons to no longer scale well and i'll have to grab like some actual swords and [ __ ] which will be a sad day because i am enjoying the conjured weapon lifestyle yeah spellbreaker and uh those shields and stuff but i'm i'm not feeling a shield on this character i already have a sword and board character that's my main character i'd rather do dual wielding because then that lets me that that means i'll have the entire thing covered i'll have one-handed sword and board and dual wielding covered and then i can actually actually have some footage too there'll be some interesting footage too for the oh god that means i'll have to download the [ __ ] vods and i'll probably i'll probably just do some b-roll or something like that but that will yeah it'll be nice to have a character that can actually because i was thinking i might test dual wielding on my sword and board character but if i'm kidding this character out for that lifestyle uh i don't have to worry about that but it's nine o'clock i'm getting tired and hungry so i might just call it here because it sounds like i'm gonna gonna have to head off to soulstime now so i kind of want to grab that stuff asap i don't really feel like doing it tonight i guess we have uh i already did a hard safe right whatever i'll do again um i guess we have a direction for the next her next stream i wasn't even sure if i was going to do another stream with this character or not i just i just playing it by ear we've had some really good viewership this whole stream so i think uh i think it's kind of in demand some skyrim streams so i'll continue doing them i don't know if uh i really have no idea when i'll be doing it next some i was the reason i was streaming today was because it was just so crappy outside i have a lot of stuff that i have to do though i don't know maybe i'll do something near the end of the
