finally I have waited so long for this moment this moment is like my Cowboys and my Spurs and my Oklahoma Sooners all winning championships at the same moment and I want to welcome you to my new home but first allow me to say and thank my dear friend Lil Wayne for creating that song that you just heard our new theme song Here on Undisputed that you will hear every morning at 9:30 a.m. eastern time it's called No Mercy and it so perfectly captures the spirit of this show I am so honored that such a legendary creative genius would do this for us Little Wayne was often a guest of ours on first take and he will soon be a guest of ours on Undisputed but speaking of First Take I'll be the first to admit to you I am going to miss my brother Stephen A Smith I am going to always root for him and I will always be there for him as I was a few years back when ESPN let him go but as he knows I have always belonged right here on Fox Fox isn't owned and operated by Walt Disney and here on Fox Sports one I'm going to be a little more free to give all of me and now I'm going to be reunited with the man and the team who six years ago at ESPN turned first take into all debate every day for two live hours and the rest was TV history thank you Jamie Horwitz for giving me this opportunity again thank you God I have been so blessed and I want to thank Shannon sharp for joining me here on Undisputed we all know Shannon Hall of Famer three-time Super Bowl champion the greatest trash talker in NFL history but I'm here to warn him this isn't the football field good luck to you my friend I also want to welcome Joy Taylor as our new moderator referee Joy also knows the National Football League you might remember Joy's brother remember Jason Taylor six Time pro bowler one time NFL defensive NF uh NFL defensive MVP Joy Taylor one day may make Jason Taylor Just known as maybe her brother at some point soon so this is the place to be as NFL season kicks off and college football kicks off this this is Undisputed this is Fox attitude welcome and now I give the floor to my man Shannon sharp thank you skip um I want to say thank you to Fox for all those that were involved in me sitting in this seat this seat opposite of skip bayor Eric Shanks Jamie Horwitz Charlie Dixon I realize you had a lot of talent to choose from and you believing in me because it's not very often that a a former football player athlete get an opportunity to sit in a debate chair on a daily basis normally these jobs are reserved for columnists and journalists so for you believing in me and giving me this opportunity I'm deeply humbled and honored Joy congratulations to you for being a third of this Trio um I know you're going to do your job exceptionally well you have probably the hardest job is to get me and Skip in and out of an argument but to this man right here thank than you for believing in me when people talk about chemistry they talk about it as if it's if it's a high school a class you take in high school there's no denying you and I have chemistry um you're strong and opinionated I'm strong and opinion opinionated and it's going to be great we're going to do something great here Fox believed in us we believe in each other and everybody behind the scenes we're going to make this thing go and I'm before we do what we do I am Undisputed
