[Music] [Music] it's YouTube Wednesday you ever wish haunt projects came in a can now they kind of do what I'm doing today I'm gonna do with Loctite spray foam it's pretty cool stuff I'm keeping the Hat because quarantine here all right I'm gonna do two quick projects today that are very much related I'm gonna show you the technique I'm not gonna carry this all the way out through but once you guys get an idea the technique there's tons of different painting techniques you already have to probably have a painting way that you like but here are two techniques along the line of making corpses so I have a silver sharpie I have a hand look at the hand and down here I have a garbage bag that is it's a shop garbage bag it's a contractor's bag is what it is cut open and laid out because foam doesn't stick to it I'm gonna go ahead and start this project I have silver sharpies contractors bag water I'm wetting down my handprint that I just made block tight foam some of the coolest stuff ever invented now you could get the inside of a dish glove really wet and use that great water in it then use the foam yeah it'll work as I'm old I prefer to a free-form a little easier I think to get character out of the I wait for it to come all the way down now it's coming out and I'm just sort of staying true to the shape of the hand just about two layers on each one of those all right so I'm gonna set that aside I'm gonna spray this again with water am I worried about it right now No pretty hard to mess up at this stage let's move on to project number two those ribs up there on my computer I am going to draw that on here except I'm gonna draw it unfolded it's right now let's fold it up so luckily this bag has a crease that's where my spine is gonna be the ribs get real big right here and I'll go there okay and then we're going to come out to here with them I'm just doing this by eye okay this isn't rocket science this is its art bent and they curl up a little bit so it's wider down here than it is up there almost coming back to this line I'm using the lines on the carbage bag to keep me oriented to keep me straight and maybe you can't see those very well well trust me that's what I'm doing I'm gonna come below these points a little these are gonna go up just like that see that and the idea is I'm gonna spray out these ribs Alexa countdown five minutes I'm gonna spray out these ribs and the spine and then we're going to fold them together to make a 3d I forgot spray water down first might bite me in the butt over here we'll see if that sticks probably not I make mistakes I'm only human a flesh and blood on that and did probe the coccyx alright so now let's let's do ribs that's good let's give this some water ok looks crazy right now looks like an alien face hunter or something and it looks like a pile of poo pee foam that's why this is cool stuff it's not going to stay looking like a pile of poo pee foam I'm going to go ahead we go again again with the spine again you're killing me [Music] all right so this hand here that I've started touch it oh it's kind of getting a skin on it I did set a timer for this but I can work with this now a little bit you know that's my hand let make sure these fingers stay separate and I'm not wearing gloves because what happened what happens is this is making a skin as it cures and as long as I don't break that skin or my back that my fingers touch this one has not skinned yet as long as my fingers don't break that I'm gonna be okay and I am squeezing this down quite a big deal everywhere I want to knuckle I'm pinching on the opposite sides of it and I'm pushing it together to make a knuckle there's a knuckle there's a knuckle so I'm showing you how I'm making these knuckles I'm pinching on either side and I'm just pushing it so I get a little pop up right there a little pop up right there a little pop up squeeze a little pop up and I'm just gonna shape in the bones that same pinching technique I don't to break that skin so I'm just doing some gentle pinching and here there's just two bones in the arm so I'm going to go ahead and squeeze these down into two bones and all this all this this wants to go somewhere so they squeeze it outta one area it wants to go into another area alexxa countdown five minutes and remember that this is already denser than great stuff okay this starts being denser than great stuff I have just taken a good amount of this and condensed it even more so this is actually going to be fairly sturdy even though it is foam and right now I'm just starting it's starting to lift this guy up off of the plastic let's just start to lift it off of the plastic so that it has its own identity and it doesn't merge into the plastic and become I don't want it to feel like it's a blob of garbage on a tarp I want this hand to get some personality there we go all right so I have a hand I'm gonna let that sit for a bit Alexa how much time is left on my countdown Alexa how much time is left on the timer so I'm gonna mess with this for three minutes and 40 seconds then I'll come over here and touch this and poke this because it's almost rib time and I can tell people that I would make their body parts out of foam but unless I show it it's hard to understand going in I'm tipping these fingertip bones by squeezing these bones are actually very pointed if you're not familiar with Anatomy then pull up some reference pictures you can get familiar with it so if my hand is continuing to to firm up you know if I want this to do something specific I might want to start shaping it now into that shape right now I'm working on rounding out these finger cuz the bottom is flat but I can just pinch it round and get myself a pretty nice skeleton hand at dark hour I actually made curtain tiebacks this way with no skeletal hands to hold the curtain I stole the idea from Pinterest you know maybe I'm gonna take this can and set it down here as a shaper for that hang int for now for now all right this guy it has that has a skin on it art isn't skin great I'm just gonna start for me the coccyx and the spine by squeezing and pinching I get bulges where I need bulges and I am getting pucker it in areas where I need pucker in areas now this is still free soft I probably should give this another minute I am pushing my luck here and we're out wear gloves guys wear gloves this seat now in the house holding shape now I'm getting it to hold shape okay let's go ahead and get this skeletal finger to make you know let's really shape this guy I mean you could have a point a certain direction if you want it in your show I mean when I use these guys for quite a bit it's coming out of caskets you know this is a great little skeletal hand to have over top of the casket coming out of the casket lid I'm juggling two projects at once because I've done this before you will probably want to go with just one project at a time now I also I went like full skeletal with this because I'm doing skeletons stop here could I have left this batter and plumpie er sure I could have make a hand of glory prop this is this is a nice easy way to do it let's get this out of the way it's still pretend where he's holding on to that and here I have a little more of a skin I'm gonna keep going my pinchy pushy alright there's Magic Hour all right remember there was an area that I did not wet now I did now I went that sucker oh-ho look at this here's our spine coming together hey you know what maybe I should have made my ribs a little longer that's fine all right so go to our hands and now I'm letting this firm up a little bit Alexa count down two minutes now I can barely get any shape in there all right I but I have I have this cool skeletal I hand isn't that great isn't that cheap isn't that fast you know that's coming out reaching out of something I know that's a hand I'm gonna paint it here it a bit [Music] oxo countdown at two minutes yeah this guy it mean he's happening I'm happy with him I uh I'm just training him to be in the shape that I want this is what I'm going for it's more narrow at the top it swells out and it flares out at the bottom all right and then there's that big spine in the back it won't have hips it won't necessarily have collarbones it's a it's a start I'm showing you the technique and you do the whole thing this leg sure of course [Music] ever half-baked that was and now I'm pushing it down I'm pushing it down I'm pushing it down I'm gonna have texture from the foam yeah you forced it into the shape we need it to be [Music] [Music] if you're good at math you don't do this next part because you would have done it right from the get-go I know I rushed I did not count my ribs and I don't like the way it looks they're they're too far apart so I made myself some extra ribs and I'm just going to glue in some extra ribs and it is every bit as easy as I'm implying to just add these extra ribs let's go ahead and glue in the sternum what's my hero side for the sternum I like this one goes right there breast bone boom-boom I'm using hot glue I'm using quality hot glue there's a difference now you could use more of the same foam that just takes longer maybe toothpick it together you could do that I don't like spending that kind of time which is why I'm having to glue on extra ribs so you do you and you know you have like an hour of flexibility on this an hour you know that's a long time to move this around and figure out what goes where before this becomes rigid it's going to get in rigid it's going to get harder but you know right now it yields where it is time another ribs for another rib on [Music] normally I do these all at once but you could certainly do your framework first and then go back and add in more ribs to your satisfaction I'm adding in ribs because I don't like the way to look didn't look really enough barely changes like with all the texture you can't really tell where the ribs come and go from and where do I want another River let's make this I know it does taper but it looks weird to me so let's cut this let's just add a rip section in let's make those bigger all things are possible yeah yeah how do i made my ribs a little longer to begin with I wouldn't have to do that but let's being chintzy I was being speedy and every now and then I paid a price for the positive is it's an easy fix in all honesty I look at this what's happening right now me having to fix this as another win for just do it why I can easily fix something that is broken but I can't do anything with something that doesn't exist yet just do it do it you can fix it whatever but no there's hot glue on it its collagen its cartilage it's fine see and that looks more ready already that looks much more rivey to me I like it good okay I have my sternum in I have my extra ribs in these guys hang down like I want them to yeah we're happy so it's really I'm gonna I guess I'll paint it let's paint it [Music] all right but you have a very simple out of the can skeleton hand very simple out of a can humerus ulna radius and here is the torso now I'll paint how you want I went with the gray and white probably get some more whites onto this [Music] [Music] I find this humorous
