I couldn't resist taking this opportunity of after as a Turtledove Joe to take you on a quick tour around this boat it's the Serena 88 it's a semi displacement long-distance cruising yacht is capable of 25 knots from a pair of 15 50 horsepower engines and it costs from 4.9 million euros so let's jump aboard and take a look round it really is quite something okay okay that's more than just a garage is a proper beach club area on the Serena 88 and then this whole section of platform lifts out and can lower and retrieve the tender and tuck it away in there pretty special if you go up the steps into the cockpit area you've got a really good sized pop in a massive table here I've done if you get an idea of the scale there but there's four chairs along that side so you can easily sit 10 probably twelve round there as a nice little separate helm station for coming into berth that obviously all tucks away out of sight when you don't need it but it's all there so you can lean over the side and coming into a berth stern 2 and sliding doors open up into the saloon there's this big seating area at the stern section big windows lots of nice detailing there's a high-low TV that pops out on that side and then this kind of half a bulkhead that provides a little bit of separation through to the main dining area again big dining table rather fancy chandelier effect lighting but then what you can see either side of this you've got these big sliding doors so these pull across manually and then there's a special electric seal that actually closes them sucks it to say that from the outside they're absolutely flush it all looks perfectly neat and again it's the same deal over on this side but an even bigger window this time so that one is already open and slid back so that you can walk straight out onto the side deck Marv these rather beautiful I think they're probably mahogany actually those rails are certainly varnished and then there's a little side gate there so you can step onto the shore did a large wine fridge all those little laps there so you've got your wine fridge there and then access to all the glasses coffee cups plates bowls beautifully fiddled and your tumbler behind this rather nice smoky glass door with a little positive catch keep it safe over on the port side there is the galley now this they are actually going to increase the size of they've managed to gain an extra almost an extra meter in here on the next boat and big fridge freezers miele but nicely built in behind these fitted doors and then a sliding door so that you can keep that separate if you want it to be a crew run boat you can keep it all separate nice display cases I'll show you where those steps go in a minute but first let's go forward because there is something I want to show you we're still on the main deck here so as a day heads which is always very handy means you guests don't have to keep popping down to their cabins and then this is the main deck master suite now this is an 88 foot boat so it's pretty rare to get a main deck master cabin on 88 foot boat but this is a really proper job you got fantastic Headroom its must be at least six foot six possibly six foot seven s and C is more than enough head room above me I'm six foot one then there's the office area over on this port side the lovely view out you can see there's full height window there was a strut separating them but it does actually go all the way floor-to-ceiling nice fancy desk and big storage area safe lovely little sitting area there by the other window just imagine sitting there maybe having your coffee in the morning lots of storage tons of these on that one's a little bit sticky maybe that one and we go just little storage spaces everywhere and then it's just a bit that I like this is the bathroom so when I forward towards the power and when I say bathroom I'm not kidding there is a proper bath and that's not even a small one that's a good sized bath completely marble lined you've got a shower here too again or fully-featured really nice recessed lighting little window with blind again lots of natural light coming in but blind so you can keep your privacy and here's the his and her sinks and check out his for a lighting feature this is literally just too light but look there's a kind of festival ball in there that slides up and down but it just means you could turn off the other lights and it's almost like a little mood lighting beautiful and separate blue in here so again nice and private but now here is the really special bit see this staircase that leads up to your own private Terrace so you've got a little switch there for the last door that slides across I've left it open for the moment and now look at this who does not want to get out of bed in the morning and jump into their very own private plunge pool have that as a hot tub or a cool tub you've got these little pop up twist lights but your very own terrace area and swimming pool so intriguingly you've got steps up from here too so that goes up this raised so I decrement down stairs to the main deck and on this side it goes up and over to the flybridge so I'm going to take you up this side so there you can see the windows into that main deck master cabin and then these little swells out in the side deck just to give you a bit more vision over the side and then there's a doorway into the flybridge and you should be able to get some idea of the scale up here it's absolutely enormous it's all covered by a huge hardtop everything from the deck up is all made of carbon fiber so it keeps it nice and light up top so center of gravity is nice and low it shouldn't roll too much I'm sure it's got stabilizers too but it still makes sense to keep the weight as low as possible there's the outside helm station enormous bar area little grill up here to all your fridges noisemakers and drinks up here massive dining table and you can see that that huge central section of the hardtop is a fabric Sun roof so that all opens up if you want to let the sunlight through and of course no boat is complete without two hot tubs and this is the proper fool hot tub number with all the water jets headrests showers waterfall it's got the lot and then two separate Sun lounges on this lovely little aft terrace overlooking the stern so pretty impressive flybridge and then I'm going to take you down from the flybridge through to the bridge so in contrast to the party area up there this is all dark moody businesslike there is a little bed area there so if you're on a night passage someone can possibly take 40 winks well somebody else is on watch but it means the crew can have their own quiet space in here if they want to get on with the business of navigating without getting involved in the guests a nice little display cabinet now we're back here so this was the entrance to the day heads and the master cabin just having a little peek in there just more storage and then these are the stairs leading down to the guest cabins now this is something that's got a change in the next boat to a little kind of pedestal that separates the two cabin areas and that's all gonna be flat in future boats but this is a rather nice little area they call it the coffee area sort of coffee zone so there's a coffee maker down here got all your drawers everything you need sort yourself out in the morning and then the laundry room here washer and dryer little ironing board that folds out sink so absolutely everything you need it's like it's a self-contained area now this is the aft VIP and I say ARF VIP with good reason because there are two VIP suites on this yacht which I'll show you the second one in a minute but when I first saw this I thought wow that is impressive that looks like a master cabin not the VIP suite but this is for the guests amazingly but it is full being you've got an enormous king-size bed beautifully light got light streaming in through both sides and then the bathroom is actually part of the cabin so it's got a sliding door you can separate it off and it's got mirrors there or you can open it up to let that light stream into the cabin and enjoy the full beam of the boat really big bathroom area classes a floor space all beautiful natural marble big wash basin and marble shower overhead probably see little LED lighting lots of detailing really clean feels like it kind of five probably six star hotel in here massive TV screen so now we're going back forward through the boat over this little step so we've seen the master cabin we've seen the aft VIP here is one of the guest cabins again I don't if you can get an idea of just how big this is but this is not a small space there's a lot of floor area between the two beds and really quite a decent width to the bed this isn't a tiny little narrow single berth it's actually quite a good size single bed got hull windows there and your own bathroom again really nicely done all that marble work go back out into that corridor leading forward got a second double guest cabin here again very similar some house beds again lots of natural light lots of detail and again your own bathroom so I think we've now seen one two three full cabins and then forward here look at that huge walk-in wardrobe so I thought that was somehow part of the corridor but actually what you might not have spotted is that there's a door here so this actually is access to the forward VIP so it comes right here you've got that walk-in wardrobe area and then to separate or split bathrooms should I say so you've got the washbasin and loo in there and on the other side a separate shower this is all part of the forward VIP then quite a few steps up to the bed itself just almost like it's on a raised podium so this is in the bow but still quite a generous beam and just part of an enormous forward VIP suite this really is a sweet it's not a cabin it's a proper suite with separate rooms coming off it so you've got the bed forward that to section bathroom and that walk-in wardrobe all as part of a forward VIP pretty impressive so there is one more key area I haven't showed you I'm just gonna open this side door again you can see you how is pushing it open so like a nice slide it back give them a good tug slide it back back out onto the side deck and here is access to the crew cabin so this is quite steep they're actually gonna make this a bit shallower and slightly wider steps in the future but this goes down to the crew area you've got a twin bunk cabin on the portside a little desk area a bathroom in there and a second double crew cabin over on this side and what they're actually gonna do is is push this out into the engine room which we'll see in a minute and make more of a crew mess area on the second boat so this is going to be even more space down here but in the meantime has a really chunky watertight door here which takes us through to the engine room and what an engine room I'm not sure I've ever been on an engine room of this size onboard an 88 foot boat it is absolutely vast got the stainless steel checker plate everywhere these 215 50 ma n engines they're almost lost in here they're set well down again look at the Headroom in here is absolutely vast there's no bending or stooping to fit round these engines you can look down on them but walk all around and they're all safely behind these stainless steel guardrails there is just so much space down here absolutely fantastic means you can get to everything you got those generators on either side you can walk-ups them I think in fact the next owner I think is going to fit a workbench forward here because there's just plenty of space for that everything is neatly labeled all the hoses no we switched on or cut off as needed big exhausts the pump just the most fabulous space so light so airy really if you're gonna weigh in an engine room make it this one I hope you enjoyed that quick look round the Serenity eight it's quite a beast and don't forget to check in on this channel for more tours and sea trials of your favourite boats thanks for watching
