[Music] hey everyone it is Tanya welcome back to the channel or welcome if you are new here today I am back with a apartment renovation I'm renovating 92 medinaa Studios today and this is actually a highly requested build and it's going to be an apartment for a single mom and Her Seven Daughters I had a lot of this comment and and I really liked the idea so I'm excited to share this with you I feel like this is going to be a really hectic household to take care of this many Sims in this space and honestly when I was doing the floor plan at first I realized I only had one bathroom for eight Sims so I do fiddle with that a little bit later and turn it into a three B house or like two and a half one of them is only a half bath but I think it comes out so cute and I'm really excited to share it with you so I hope you enjoyed this one if you do and you'd like to download it by the way it is available The Sims 4 Gallery you can find it under my EA ID which is griffy g r ypi you can also find it under the hashtag griffy and that information will also be in the description down below as well so right now I am starting to lay out like a general idea of where I think the rooms are going to be fixing this floor plan a little bit and adding like where the counters and stuff are going to be but not all of this is going to stay exactly how it is I do end up using these counters but I was just kind of trying to plan out the space and see see where everything would fit and I think this is a pretty decent sized kitchen for this space that I'm working with since I took up most of this apartment with bedrooms since I have eight Sims living here so all of the living space is in this one room but I think it's a pretty good size and I imagine this household is actually going to be pretty busy when it comes to Meal Time feeding seven children plus yourself sounds like a huge task and I think they would actually benefit from today's sponsor so thank you to hellofresh for also trying to figure out a rug here and this is where the whole color scheme came from where I realized I really wanted to use this rug from HSE Ranch that has a lot of pretty yellows oranges and pinks in it so I was very inspired by that you're also going to see a lot of kids toys and like just stuff all over this house I have like arts and crafts toys like makeshift um dollhouses I say makeshift because I used a specific one that came from the little campers kit in the living room and it just so cute but you're going to see like family stuff all over this house I feel like the kids kind of have taken over and I love that idea uh I also decided to use this couch from growing together I think it is so pretty and I put a little stuffed animal on it also the book case I used in this space I thought was perfect it has a lot of books a lot of fun storage a lot of fun colors that is from the kids room stuff pack and then I'm putting a clock above it as well as a plant just to decorate vertically a little bit since these wall the walls in this apartment are so tall uh so I just wanted to do that here and then I am deciding to extend the kitchen ever so slightly I have it like wrap around here a little bit uh it gives us a little bit of extra counter space I'm pretty sure I put a microwave there in the end uh but we're going back into the living room now and trying to figure out what decoration I want to put in the corner not what decoration what functional kid item and I do end up going with this dollhouse in the end I just think it is so cute how it's made out of like blankets and stuff and they built up a little sort of rocket ship I just think it's adorable I think it might be one of my favorite dollhouses in the game and dollhouses actually do function when they are sized down if you were not aware I thought I would mention that and I also got a couple of sticky notes on the fridge over here some flowers in the kitchen to add a little brightness as well as a range hood I really like adding these little notes on the fridge they're from Parenthood they come as like a debug item that you can get put onto the parenting board from that pack uh but I like to grab them from debug sometimes and just decorate spaces I feel like fridges if the one I use them on the most often but you can put them anywhere and I think they are so cute especially because they don't snap to the walls so they're very helpful for placing they're not difficult so anyway back in the living room now I am grabbing a lamp I also got some like arts and crafts and some books and stuff on the uh kitchen table but I will be moving the arts and crafts to this table I'm pretty sure and then I'm figuring out what TV I'd like to have in this space and also grabbing a bookcase to fill in the wall over here and I do end up placing down quite a few of the frames from growing together that you can put your own like photographs family photos in because I assume if you're playing in this house even if you don't go by the story line that was in mind for this of a single mom and Seven Daughters it's obviously a really big apartment for a lot of family members or or a lot of Roommates whoever you have live here it's set up for kids but um I would assume you would probably like to put photos of your family here so I decided to do that I also put this three wide table kind of tucked into this corner as a sort of homework space so I put a computer over here and like some boards to hang stuff up that's from Parenthood as well I used a lot of that pack in this build here are those family portraits and I add this little cart underneath with all sorts of like crafting supplies and a bunch of clutter up top I really wanted this to feel like it was a place that was actively being used for kids to do their homework at I liked the idea of that like some of the bedrooms have space where they could sit down at a desk but I wanted like a dedicated area out in the living room especially if they need help from either an older sibling or from their mom to work on homework I feel like this is a nice collaborative area for that uh but in the kitchen I did add the parenting board I did raise this up and it's above a counter so I'm actually not sure if this is functional here but I thought it looks cute like regardless and you could probably just move that to the hallway if that is an issue and you should be able to use that no problem and here is where I'm trying to figure out where to add another bathroom I do end up adding it here and I'm just figuring out the wall placement so the hallway ends up being a little bit of a weird shape but I was able to add another half bath here and also an on Suite for the primary bedroom which is shared by the mom and a toddler so I thought having an onsuite with a bathtub was probably a good idea I'm not sure where you're going to have this toddler live once they grow older I guess you can probably stick another bed in one of the other kids rooms uh but it's going to be a little bit of a tight squeeze but I think it'll work out okay in the end anyway I'm decorating the bathrooms now and I'm pretty sure I left them all in cuz I did them all at the same time I was moving all of the same like sink and toilet and all of that as well as mirror to all of the places and doing minor decorations so I kept some of that in you can see me adding this really cute like drawer piece from uh that is from dream home decorator with this plastic drawer set on top of it that has a bunch of like hair accessories in it I think that is really cute and quite realistic for a household of seven little girls uh so I liked adding that there it feels pretty realistic to my childhood growing up although I never had my hair done in the bathroom growing up and it was always in the kitchen for some reason and my dad was always the one that did my hair uh not my mom because my mom had a perm so she was like I don't know how to deal with straight hair and my dad had really long hair he's a biker and so it was always pulled back in a ponytail and uh he was very well versed in long hair long straight hair so he always did my hair and it was always in the kitchen and that's just like kind of a cute nice memory uh I would love to know if any of you have memories of like having your hair done as a kid and all of that it's just it's just like fun little things like that to look back on anyway this is the primary bedroom's bathroom so I just have a little bit of a calmer vibe in there and a little bit later on I will be adding a toddler potty in there as well so if you want to go ahead and potty train your toddler if you decide to have one in this house uh I will have that supplied I just didn't add it yet uh little things that you realize you forgot as you're going along but uh in the hallway now I'm just getting some entryway decorations we have a couple of closets here as well as a place to hang up your mail I get a mirror up above here I looked at a bunch of different ones but I'm pretty sure I went with this one from high school years I love the little flowers that are stuck on it there's also a Band-Aid on it I just feel like it feels realistic for this household that there'd probably be some stick on the mirror I know mine growing up had quite a few on it uh and then I am adding our temperature controls and a fire alarm and I also get a little table here with some kids drawings hanging up above it once again an item from Parenthood so so good I love the color it adds to this space and I also wanted to make sure there were some umbrellas here that's a nice item from Seasons because it's a decorative item but it's also functional you can actually choose which umbrella your Sims use when it's raining outside and I feel like it's something I add in almost every build but but I feel like it's something for years I forgot we had so now it's a staple but it wasn't always uh and then I'm just painting the walls here and I add a little cabinet right outside the bathroom just to fill up the hallway space a little bit more and put a spot for some more family photos and then I think we just have a couple more paintings here and a little bit more of the other little hallway to decorate before we head on into the bedrooms where we are going to start with the primary bedroom that's shared with the toddler and I carried the color scheme from this apartment into most of the bedrooms uh I feel like they all kind of agree on colors with the exception of one bedroom which is very dark colors and void Critter themed which I loved I was so up my alley so I'm excited for you to see that one um we're just trying to figure out what painting to put on the hall here and over here as well because there was just so many empty walls I felt like there needed to be more artwork and I was having so much trouble figuring out what fit the color scheme and the style of this house uh so this is the primary bedroom I'm using a bed from dream home decorator and a toddler bed actually from Eco lifestyle I think they work together nicely in here and I'm bringing in the same curtains that I had in the other room it's very pink in here uh I think the walls end up being yellow though and I paired it with this rug also from dream home decorator in this pink Swatch I think it is so pretty and there's just like a shared bedside table between the two beds and a plant a couple of decorations I tried to keep this room fairly simple because I want wanted it to be a little bit more peaceful for this mom granted she's not getting too much alone time as she's sharing the room with her toddler but I would still like it to be restful as much as it can be uh so just got a nice plant here hanging up some photos up above the bed scooting them over a little bit with tool since they wouldn't go closer to the wall when they were just snapping outside the building when I did that and then I added a changing table in here and I'm going to have to play test this before I upload it to the gallery uh cuz I'm not sure if your Sims can get around that they should be able to but I thought it would be nice to have that in here instead of a regular dresser so your Sims can actually you know tend to their toddler on that space because you can use the changing tables for both infants and toddlers in the game and there's that toddler potty I had mentioned and you might have just heard my dog behind me shaking his collar uh but this is the first of the kids bedrooms and it's actually the only one that has bunk beds I didn't want this space to feel too cramped so I figured I could probably fit two separate beds in most of the bedrooms but this one does have bunk beds and I used some swatches of this bed from growing together that I don't think I've used maybe the top one I have but the bottom polka dot one I haven't before it's just not my favorite but I thought it was kind of fun to do something different in this space and I hung up some like reading posters on the bottom bunk and the bedside table is actually a piece of the modular bookcases from the booknook kit I was thinking that's a kid that really likes to read the upper bunk kid I feel like is just like more into hanging out with their friends so they have lots of photos up there of their friends and then I just got some toys in here so we have a dollhouse a decorative toy box from Parenthood and a couple of like paintings and stuff on the wall and that should be it for this bedroom other than a couple of things on the bedside table I kept it fairly simple uh and then the next bedroom is going to be the one that's for the two kids that really like void Critters which is so different from the rest of the bedrooms and then the last one is going to be for some teenagers and I think it might be my favorite of the rooms it is so cute I'm excited for you to see it uh we're just kind of placed ing down the beds in both of these rooms to lay it out to get an idea of what we're going to do before I actually start decorating and uh I painted the walls too uh so here is the void Critter room I have these dark walls but I really wanted to bring in some blue so I played around with the colors a few different times in both of the rooms I also picked out the curtains in both rooms before I fully decorated them I thought that these more boho looking ones from high school years would be perfect in the teen room and then I used these from dream home decorator in the kids room the void Critter theme was obviously inspired by this bed that has a void Critter on it I think these ones are from Snowy Escape maybe I'm not sure uh but I don't know if I've ever used this bed I also decided we could have the void cutter card like rug I believe that's also from get famous it's for like the sets in the actor career and I just thought it was so fun I combined it with another rug to make it look a little bit less oddly shaped and have a little bit more coverage on the ground and then I'm figuring out and posters because of course I want to have void Critters but I wanted to have a variety in here and it not to all look exactly the same so I got a couple of other posters over here and I think it looks so cute I love the colors I feel like this is just such a fun kids room I didn't add the void Critter machine in here but you could probably fit it somewhere in the apartments I just feel like I don't often actually have my Sims play with void Critters but I like decorating with them if that makes sense uh so that was the idea behind this room um I'm just going to get a couple more decorations we get a lamp over in this corner and I think a book bag yeah a book bag as well and then over here I'm figuring out a toy box a dresser all of that and this is where I do use that bigger void Critter poster that I had grabbed before I end up using this dresser in pretty much every build it's from uh is that one high school years I think it is but it's just a simple normal dresser that comes in so many good swatches so it ends up being in pretty much every build I do let me know if you have favorite dresser because this one is definitely mine so yeah just adding another book bag over here some more toys a mirror on the wall and then moving on into the teenager room which is our final room of this build I love the colors in here these beds are both from the tiny living stuff pack and then I am pairing it with that same dresser from the other room and a table to be used as a desk in here kind of like what I did in the living room except this is just a two-seater because I was imagining it was a more private space for the teenagers where the kids are probably more so using the one out in the living space and then I decorated this dresser as sort of like a shared bedside table so there are two lamps some makeup and like glasses like just lots of stuff you would want by your bedside table I believe I add a water bottle here as well a mixture of stuff from high school years as well as the everyday clutter kit and possibly the bathroom clutter kit I don't remember if I used any of that in here but those are ones I tend to use a lot on bedside tables and then I'm getting a couple of paintings and stuff on the walls I really like how this came out it just feels so peaceful but there's still personality and quite a bit of color in this space and then over here by the desk I just got this little corkboard to tack up a couple of paintings another little lamp and some laptops for the teenagers as well as some clutter associated with desks and that's pretty much it for this build I really hope you enjoyed
