Simple Habits & Tools For A Clean Home (Effortless Cleaning Hacks)

while i do enjoy having a clean and organized home sometimes it can be hard to find the time or motivation to do a deep clean however with the right tools and a few simple habits it is possible to keep your home clean and organized at all times without having to spend hours cleaning every weekend in this video i'm going to share a few simple habits that i've implemented and some products that help me clean more efficiently one of the easiest habits to do is taking off shoes at home doing this helps reduce dust and bacteria around the house so we don't have to mop as often i kept a separate home sandal to prevent walking on cold floors especially during winter to minimize clutter make it a habit to return things to where it belongs this means putting things away instead of just randomly putting it down [Music] have a place for everything so you don't have to think twice on where to store them mail and things we carry every day are some of the most common culprits and easiest to address set up a system so everything has its own place when you get home around the house utilize different types of storage and organization products to group things within the same category the goal is to compartmentalize in order to have each group of items separate from the other [Music] this will make it easy to return things as you can easily identify where each item belongs make a conscious effort to keep tables and flat surfaces clear after each use and do a quick scan before leaving a room to see if there's anything else out of place next is to do daily maintenance this includes washing dishes after every use and wiping the countertop each of this task takes less than five minutes to perform and will ensure that things won't pile up into a big mess having the right tools at the right place will also help maintain these habits as it reduces effort and friction in the kitchen i have a simple dish one filled with soap tucked neatly in a sink caddy to easily wash plates and marks underneath the sink i kept kitchen cleaning supplies accessible so i can reach them with minimum effort in the bathroom i used this plant-based shower spray and sprayed across the screen and tiles after taking the shower it helps prevent soap scum and keeps the bathroom fresh without even having to rinse best of all it dries without leaving water spots to make sure i don't have to clean the bathroom as often i also got a shower squeegee with a silicone hook that lets you mount on top of the shower screen this way i can easily grab it and remove excess water after a shower every few days i'll turn on the robot vacuum and let it clean the apartment it helps regulate dust and saves us a lot of time as we no longer have to manually vacuum the space the app also allows us to select specific room or zone so it won't interrupt our activity [Music] i also keep a cordless vacuum to clean furniture edges and easy spot cleaning such as hair or crumbs it also came with a carpet head which is handy for the occasional deep clean it is much easier to operate than a standard vacuum and can last up to an hour on the lowest setting to keep the room fresh i always make sure to take the trash out when full or at least once every three days [Music] at the end of each week i like to take 10 to 15 minutes to dust surfaces and objects to make it less of a chore i'll put on some music in the background and use the time to take my mind off of work a delicate duster is useful for dusting picture frames vases and other delicate objects such as tv and computer screen for larger surfaces i use this microfiber duster to quickly cover a large area with every swipe remember to use a top to bottom approach so you won't have to do the same surface twice [Music] both of these dusters also came with a removable head for convenient machine washing doing this regularly helps prevent dust from sticking which can be hard to remove if you have a fabric bench or chair a lint roller is a great way to remove dust and dirt the same way it does on our clothes [Music] remember to also wipe plants if you have them around the home especially those with big leaves as they
