what's up guys KS here thanks for joining me today as always I recently put a post on Instagram asking if you guys wanted to see a more detailed comparison between the 6-hour P 320 X compact and X carry a lot of you guys sounded off and said yes we would really like it and I've also had a lot of comments in the original video on the X compact asking basically the same thing or a lot of people saying which one is right for me that sort of thing now to full disclaimer guys I can't tell you which one is right for you I haven't met all of you in person and we haven't shot together and talked about guns and that sort of thing however hopefully this type of video will help now admittedly I don't do these types of things very often but if you guys want to see more videos like this I'm happy to do them that's totally fine this is kind of just us hanging out and having a conversation about this which is actually kind of fun to make it's a little less formal there's a less going less going on in the video and we're just kind of hanging out and nerding out about guns that's what we do so let's dive in and take a look at these two guys and see where they are different and where they're similar as well I'm finding as I make more and more of these videos I tend to stack guns up against each other more often not only on camera but off camera as well I'm kind of a gun nerd I just like to see how things line up and stack up and study some of the nuances between the two I just I find that endlessly fascinating so the differences between these two guys a lot of its negligible now the length on the carry which is going to be on top in the coyote color is going to be seven point four inches versus seven inches on the compact definitely a difference but not a tremendously big difference now when we talk about height the carry on your right is going to be 5.5 inches it's tough to keep these guys lined up 5.5 inches versus 5.3 inches on the compact so again not a terrifically big difference between the two and we've got 27 ounces on the carry and then we've got 25 point three ounces on the compact again not a big difference one way or the other where we start to see bigger differences are actually in the grip modules themselves they've made some differences some changes on the compact now some people might not think that it's too big of a deal I really started to notice especially as I've started making this video now you'll know via the grip module right here we've got some sculpting that goes up right here and basically what this what I'm finding that this does even though it's incredibly comfortable I will say but it actually it keeps my thumb a little bit further away from the slide you'll notice I mean my thumb there's there's definitely a gap there I'm trying to press in as much as I can without it being uncomfortable I mean obviously we want to be comfortable when we're shooting as much as we can but they've they've recontoured this a little bit they've taken some of that away so now you'll notice there's far less of a gap almost no gap at all the only thing that's creating the gap now is a slide stop slide release so so big difference there that means that I can crush this gun a little bit more if I want to and I think some shooters are gonna find that to be advantageous to one degree or another but the differences don't stop there so we're gonna go ahead and we're gonna we're gonna really nerd out here for a moment or two so I hope you guys don't mind I've got some calipers out we're gonna study these just for a moment or two I'm we're not gonna spend ten minutes doing this that would be ridiculous but but I did want to just highlight some differences so we're gonna take a couple of measurements in the length of the grip from front to back so we've got fifty four point eighty four millimeters fifty four point eighty four let's remember that if we can and then same spot fifty two point zero five came so a little bit more than what two millimeters two-and-a-half millimeters something like that a little bit of a difference there and then the same thing as we move up and we're gonna get right to where our undercut is and do the same thing forty-nine point four six okay forty-nine point four six same measurement try and get it as close as I can forty-six point one zero again definitely a difference between the two and now what's interesting and we're gonna do the width on both of these guys just like that thirty-one point three zero I'll try to get it as close as I can to the same spot you'll notice that just slid right on right thirty-one point three four and that's probably me moving this thing around a little bit you guys know I have shaky hands not much I can do about that but really in terms of the width of the grip they're actually they're the same I mean there really isn't a difference between the two where it matters is the length from front to back but I think a lot of shooters are gonna appreciate that especially if you have smaller hands or again you just want to get a little bit more of a grip on it I mean I've got reasonably large hands or where large gloves on most days and sometimes an X large just depends but it means I can crush this thing a little bit more now you don't want to over crush it of course and you're gonna start wobbling around and I do that anyway but still there's a balance there and and I think a lot of people are going to appreciate it now in terms of features these guys are basically the same now there's a lightening cut on the carry so that's going to be a difference but that just reduces the weight a little bit that's why these guys are so close and weight both are cut for a red dot of coasts of course I think both I think are cut for the same thing we'll take the sides apart here in just a minute but I know that the compact is cut for the Romeo one Pro the Romeo two and the delta point pro and just throw down in the comments if I've missed something but that's what sig is advertising and I think the carry probably does the same thing and then we'll take these guys apart for a moment or two and look at the inside because you'll see that the inside is basically the same we're going to lock this guy open and take them apart not a video on the disassembly of the gun but the parts all the parts are basically the same that's how you take your red dot plate off right there the screws are on the inside that's kind of interesting but it does make for a pretty sleek look and then we'll do the same with this guy as well we'll take them apart sometimes these things are super stiff when you first get them I've noticed but they do loosen up over time now one thing that people have been wondering does the carry work on the compacts well let's find out look at that we've been put in that magazine just for the sake of argument seems to work seems to work without an issue trigger works that same thud all the way I like these triggers these triggers are actually pretty good there you go so if you're curious about that it does seem to work and we'll get this guy back and put these guys back where they belong see there you go is a little bit stiff there and again I shake a little bit so not much I can do again the interior on the carry same thing same trigger system the whole nine yards and the trigger modules are the same there's no difference between those guys same specs same construction all that I'll drop safe now I still get comments on that which absolutely blows my mind but whatever so again big difference of course is going to be your grip module that's where things are different between these two guys and then the round count 17 rounds in the carry and 15 rounds in the compact generally speaking under most applications most people don't care about that very much or they do and and I don't know that they necessarily need to that's just my opinion but guys there you go there's a comparison between the compact and the carry I'd love to know your comments down below let me know what your interests are if you guys would be interested in one of these which one and why I'm curious about that if you want to see more casual videos like this holler down below as well otherwise guys thanks so much for joining me and I will see you next time
