Hello Everyone, Just a quick guide to get going with OPC on S7-1200 PLC Lets start TIA Portal Create a new project Add a PLC Device, A S7-1200 Click on the PLC to see the properties panel Scroll down to the OPC heading and click Activate OPC Ua Adjust the IP Address to suit your network Take note of the settings and check if correct The free runtime license will need to be selected to run the service I've downloaded the program to the PLC to see if all is ok and do a first test Lets use UaExpert (free download) to view the server, Add the OPC server to the list you can now see the PLC Data to select to monitor Lets create some variables to view in opc We now need to create a interface for the variables to be linked to OPC, drag and drop required data Lets download again with the new data and see if it works after a refresh select the data you want to link and view Great all is working well I hope you found this helpful
