hello beautiful people and welcome to ask the jeff kazuhoi edition i'm i'm assuming that there's going to be a few questions on this that i've already answered in my kadah mythbuster so if slash when we get to that i'll just refer you guys to that video also thank you to shuffle one of my mods who compiled a list of all the questions and removed the ones that repeated themselves uh so thank you shuffle very much appreciated first things first overall power level and pull value compared to other units to get that out of the way first and what makes him really good okay is one of the best units in the game without a doubt when you look at the other really really good units you look at someone like bennett you look at someone like singteo you look at someone like ayaka ryden someone like sucrose right a lot of those units what they do is unique calhoun on the other hand what he does has a lot of overlap with another very good unit in the form of sucrose and so unlike a lot of the other good units he isn't a unit that i would recommend on every account i would say that caldera is very good if you have two teams that care about having an animal unit that being said though the amount of teams that don't want an animal unit is basically the rational team that's pretty popular this is a team that doesn't really want an animal unit but when you're playing this team when you look at the other side that you can do you can't really do a taser team as effectively because you don't have access to sing-toe and you can't really do a vape team as effectively because you don't have access to sincho or ten lane and so the team that you'll end up playing on the other side are often gonna be something like freeze or a mono element team and in those teams kazuha tends to be better than sucrose the other teams that don't use an animal unit are like basically geo teams with ito i don't have you tell but let's pretend this is ito then your other side you can do basically whatever you want but the general baseline that i would expect with something like that is either a national team or a taser team now in both of those teams i actually would not recommend kazuha over sucrose my point with this is what he does sucrose can also do in many situations in some situations she does it worse in some situations she does it better but what both of those units do the vv shred and team buff is so incredibly valuable that on most accounts you still want to have two of them he's a contender for one of the best polls that you can go for on your account but you definitely don't need him regardless of the value kazuha can bring to your account he is not a must pull since the hardest content in the game isn't hard enough to justify spending money i guess the second part of the question is what makes him really good the main thing that makes kazuha really good is his ascension passes both of his ascension passes are so [ __ ] good his first ascension passive gives him an elemental absorption on his e his e makes him jump and then he does a plunge attack but if either him or an enemy is affected by an element so for example if i step in water instead of just doing animal damage he's gonna deal animal and hydro damage what this means is in certain situations you can actually use that effect to set up some swirls on more than one element at the same time you get the decreased opponent's elemental resistance to the element infused by a swirl on more than one element and the biggest thing that makes him very good is his other ascension talent he also increases your team's damage percent for the elemental type that was infused on this one so effectively right you get a pretty significant damage increase you look at the uh damage you do on a normal attack 125 right when you swirl and get the db effect this goes up to 198 when you swirl with with kazuha and also get the damage bonus yeah 264. but the point being he will increase your damage more than other animal units assuming you're not triggering reactions and that can also if you're using his infusion to get a swirl on multiple elements that buff can also be applied to multiple elements at the same time on top of that he's a very easy unit to use his burst deals six instances of animal damage which is a [ __ ] ton of swirls which ends up giving him a pretty good amount of personal damage especially when built fully m actually and effectively he just provides a lot of value he gets grouping he gets relatively easy to play his setups can be complicated but in a lot of teams they aren't a bunch of additional damage on your carries through varidis venera and his passives and a lot of personal damage by himself as well that is what makes him good sucrose versus kazuha kazuha versus venti and his overall strengths and weaknesses the main difference between kazuha and venti is venti sacrifices some amount of damage upgrades but in exchange what he gets is their grouping and some energy generation the main like quote-unquote issue with gaza half is you group them and then you can start attacking them but then they can move and they're not really grouped anymore vendi on the other hand because his burst lasts for so long they basically stay grooved for all of your uptime there's also the fact that venti's range to suck enemies in i don't know where i can show this properly maybe on maybe on floor 11. see how far they spawn if i try to hold e from here none of them actually get sucked in and then if i go closer to one side i can group them but i could have grouped the two of them but i can group them but i can only group two instead of all of them whereas with venti [Applause] yeah you actually get to group but when it comes to grouping i think that the biggest thing that venti does and calzon doesn't do very well is he can group over multiple ways because his burst stays and keeps grouping as long as it's active if you're involving floors where a bunch of different waves of enemies are spawning venti's burst can group more than one wave and you don't even have to swallow back to him that's one wave there's two waves three waves and there's no more waves does that mean that venti is better than kazuha not necessarily because when it comes to their their like combat other than their grouping well what venti gives is 15 elemental energy to whatever element he infused in his burst however it's only the element that infused with his burst it's not any element he swirls which means you can only give it to one element unlike kazuha's bonus right this damage bonus that you can give to multiple elements on top of that as you've seen castle house burst doesn't spawn on him it goes forward and when you're against heavy enemies you have to go like the right distance from that enemy and hope they don't walk up to you while you're casting your burst now i do think that people actually really underestimate how good venti is in stuff like kanki stuff like pma stuff like ruin guards and [ __ ] like that because they're just not willing to learn how to aim as a verse properly but i also agree that kalha is better in situations like that the main like good combat thing about venti is that he gets a bunch of energy back but it can you can also get completely [ __ ] and not actually get the right infusion if for example you're fighting a slime oh sucks to be you you don't have the right infusion when it comes to cargo horse's venting generally kazuha will outperform in terms of a team building block but that's that's how i like to look at it kazuha is a unit venti is not a unit venti is a [ __ ] cheat code what venti does is he invalidates a certain type of content and he's basically the best unit in the game in that type of content and outside of that type of content he's a good unit but not an insanely amazing one kanga on the other hand doesn't really invalidate anything but he's also a really strong baseline unit now for sucrose versus kazuha what they do is a lot more similar sugrose doesn't have that one situation where she's the best unit in the game and she works very similarly to kazuo this so if you can see 55k is the damage i'm doing with my though there we go 63k instead of 55k right because sucrose gets the thrilling tales which is a [ __ ] broken weapon on top of elemental mastery buff and she doesn't get the thrilling tales if you give her something else even without ddds we're still at 58k which is more than the 55k we got with gaza because when it comes to actually increasing the reaction based damage zurgos gives you more than kazakh but a significant portion of child's damage in this team is not vaporized sure between 30 and 45 of his damage will come from his burst which is getting vaporized but the rest that 55 to 70 isn't getting vaped which means it's not getting increased by sucrose but it is getting increased by kazuha on top of that you don't really want to give sucrose fuevonius because ctds is so good but you do want to give carlo half a phonies falvonious helps your channeling and your child's energy requirements and on top of that sucrose's burst is very often unreliable and will knock enemies up which will prevent you from auto attacking them with child which means very often you don't use sucrose's burst whereas you do use causal husbands if you're in aoe with this team in a team like this both sucrose and kazuha are actually good options there's very very little difference between them the quote-unquote problems will start coming in when you start looking at other vaporized themes in other vaporized themes when you end up using this strategy you get a pyro swirl from using your sucrose e on goba and that is an actual swirl that is not an infusion or anything it's a swirl now if you want to understand why causal has a plunge attack is not a swirl but isn't in an absorption it doesn't actually always give you the uh the pyro damage bonus in the pyrov you can go watch my casual myths video my point is you can't do that with kaza so a lot of the setups when you have things like saying so that reapply a hydro to the enemy with his orbitals a lot of the setups are really difficult to do and unreliable with kazuha whereas they're very easy with sucrose with kazoha you have to hope that you're not quite close enough to the enemies that the hydro orbitals right these little things apply hydro to the enemy when you're trying to do your pyro plunge because if they do you're not actually going to get a pyro swirl and you're not going to increase your channeling's damage whereas even if the enemies are affected with with hydro we still get a firewall swirl which means we still get our power with vb it's not just the elemental mastery it's also the pd itself so in teams like these i would like sucrose over cause of them when it comes to a team like this i'm using shinyan because she's my favorite unit to put in mono pyro uh he's my favorite on fielder i use her because i have c6 bennett in a team like this where you only have one element that's doing the majority of the damage right in a mono element team or in a free steam where sure you have two elements but their reactions together don't actually do anything or any damage in a team like this sure you still you can still get tdds you can still get sugrose's constellation six if you have it but you're just generally better off going through casual instead this guy will deal more damage and will give you a bigger damage bonus and to your whole team instead of only one uh with the tdds double that when you look at freeze teams uh the most popular freeze teams generally use either mona or kokomi honestly mostly kokomi as the hydro option and komi wants thrilling tales which means you already have a thrilling gels which means there's no point to getting a second one or there's very little point to getting a second one and so then that excuse the results in favor of kazuha even more finally in teams like taser right something like this both sucrose and kalaheo are viable but depending on which specific units you're using some teams will want sucrose and some teams will want cause of the general rule for it is if you have a good unit that wants to be on field then kazuha is gonna be better but if you don't then sucrose is gonna be better because sucrose's on field is pretty decent in taylor's teams like it's actually pretty good especially in hawaii and kazuha's on field is pretty [ __ ] he doesn't really do much more on field than he does off field in a team like this i would much rather run sucrose over kazuo although they're both completely functional but if for example i'm using on my hydro i'm using kokomi instead i have a good unit to spend time on field now which means the sucrose on field value disappears and all you get is her well off-field value and if you're looking at strictly all field value in taser teams then i'd rather have kazohan so in taser teams depending on which taser team you're you're doing either sucrose or kazuha can be better in vape teams they're either both good or sucrose is better and in mono element and freeze teams kazoha is generally better but the reality is they're both incredibly good when people say kazoo has an expensive sucrose they're not saying kazoo has an expensive version of a shitty four-star unit cringe you they're saying kazoo has an expensive version of one of the best four stars in the game being an expensive sucrose is very good when you look at a whaling options on kazoha he generally has better options for whaling because um sucrose's best weapon even if you're a whale is still going to be either tdds or sock prague so she doesn't gain anything from whaling whereas kazuha can gain his c2 which is a bigger em bonus but almost as big as what sucrose gives by herself on top of his damage bonus which is it just makes him generally better overall and he has access to freedom's horn which is also a very good weapon what value does he give to an account that already has a built sucrose and or venti like i said before venti is more of a solution to a p to a certain type of content than a team building piece that being said another thing that i think doesn't get mentioned all that often is how good kazaa is with venti when you're in content where venti is good sure venti is better than kazuha but like what teams are you going to put with your venti sure you can go for something like a morgana team with ganyu cryo battery and hydro not everyone has ganyu ayaka is not quite as good in mobbing content as ganyu is what is the best options i would argue that if you don't have gun you the best teams that you can build with venti basically all involve cause of them you can either go for a model pyro with bennett chiang lain or you can go for some sort of taser team with like official sincho or official [ __ ] kogami barbara mona ayato whatever the basic reason why they work so well together is animal units when you build them fully m rely on enemies being grouped close enough together for at least two of them to be in swirl range of each other so that your swirl basically ends up dealing double damage with venti that's always going to happen which means venti effectively makes your casual deal a bit more damaged than he otherwise would and the biggest part is you're playing two animal units which means they're both generating animal particles which means they both don't need quite as high energy recharge they both have a six second cooldown so their rotation lines up pretty well it just ends up being a solid team overall to go back to the question uh what value does he give to an account that already has built to growth on arventi he can work with venky he's one of the units that works with venti the best so he can still be a very good pull let's move on to the next question team overview uh which are his best teams and how much of an upgrade is he over other animals and said teens as who tell he's not even always the best option but he is definitely a good option he's a comfy one and i like him a lot but he's not always the best choice but we already talked about the comparison between him and sucrose in most teams i would say that the main teams were like going for a casual is very very good is a raid on hyper team uh if you're a taser player has kokomi if you're a kokomi taser player uh kazu is very good if you are playing one of the less good carries because you just like them you like that saying something like i don't know you're playing yanfei you're playing shinyan getting kazuha and pretending like you're carrie is actually the one that's doing the work can be nice i would say in uh international if you need sugos on the other side is a very good unit to go for i think those are the main ones or like kazuha is actually like noticeable and sorry freeze so anaya katie the ganyu team i'd probably generally rather run venti is tf kazoha his most fun team yes it is not even close it's kind of a better slot when childhood ursing chose the hydro in national i would argue that he's ever so slightly better than sucrose for sustained rotations with child but worse than sucrose when you're trying to set up one chance because while sucrose has ddds and you can just give your ttds to child because international rotations are so flexible different chambers will would rather have either kazuha or sucrose right it's going to depend on what chamber you're on it so it'll depend uh what's into i would almost always prefer sucrose breathe explanation and cause burst damage over time so the consuming slight description is a bit too dank uh the way that kazu has burst works is at first it deals animal damage and that's it and that can swirl and then it will it will deal the damage over time five times now each time it deals the damage over time first if it's infused it will deal damage of that elemental infusion and then it will deal the animal damage which can swirl if there's an element on the enemy can elaborate more on what you said a while back about it being better to not always use gun husbands and international due to it potentially stealing baseball yeah so as i said to an earlier question right what happens is let's say you get a pyro infused causal burst right first you apply the pyro and then you apply animal so let's see what can happen right if you're if you're starting with hydro on an on an enemy right you're starting with one unit of hydro then calco's burst infusion removes 0.5 units of hydro by triggering the vaporize then kazoha's animal burst removes 0.5 units of hydro by triggering a swirl and then you got zero right your hydro is gone you don't have an element anymore and you end up stealing your vapes from channeling with kalu husbands but if you're an aoe the swirl will sure still remove some hydro but it's also this swirl will add plus one hydro on the other enemy and this swirl will add plus one hydro on this enemy effectively because swirl spreads the element if you're in single target it has nothing to spread it to and it just disappears but if you're an aoe then the first one spreads it to the second one and the second one spreads it to the first one you still need to apply hydro to both enemies so if the enemies are very far away from each other then it might still steal your face but if they're close together close enough together to be swirled then it's not gonna it mostly won't steal your vapes and it's worth using for the damage how much better is triple em over hybrid and crit and how much em to shoot for as a baseline how much better yes technically hybrid will generally be the highest amount of damage by a very very very small margin but it doesn't matter because you're still losing out on the em buff right for the [ __ ] one percent damage you gain on kazoha you end up losing like five percent damage on your other units which is not worth it at all [ __ ] that so you always want to go for triple em how much you have to shoot for as a baseline as much as you can you want to have as much em as you can without struggling with your energy recharge is there such a thing as too much em no so ema is actually like the only stat in the i mean i guess crit rate as well because you maxed out on radar 100 but it's one of the only stats in the game that actually has a maximum to how much it can give you but it is literally impossible to reach and so it doesn't really matter right the question is out of the like possible em values that you can have is there a point where em isn't good anymore and the answer to that is no there is no on your kazuha you would just want a lot of em and that's it and more em is better that's good more am good as long as it's not costing you your burst although to be fair his uh ascension four doesn't have a hard limit i don't think so even if he had infinite em like he'd still get some value out of the ascension for okay general eor threshold for team that is in the causal myth buster uh how important is it that he gets burst off cooldown every rotation his burst will basically always be more damage than what he would give to the team by having 200 more em so ideally it's not something you want to ever trade technically there are teams and or rotations that don't actually want to use his burst because it would [ __ ] up with the elemental it would [ __ ] with the elemental application like international and aoe if you're playing one of those teams then it's fine if you're running too low er in single target but then that means you'd have to adapt your build for a single target and aoe and that's just a pain in the ass and i don't i wouldn't bother when to hold e went to top e and when to not use c1's extra charge as well okay the main purpose of the hold the e is that it groups better obviously there's other things that it does differently but the main purpose of the whole e is that it grows better the main downside of the hold e it's a longer animation and a longer cooldown in certain teams you'll want to quick swap the casual hop back every six seconds and get a bunch of ease in which means that holding your e means that well instead of being able to do this first swap to your official use your alls after you're saying so use q e swap back to kazuha use your e again you won't have your e on cooldown again here right other than that whole e is a little bit better at getting double swirls in freeze teams it's necessary to use your whole e on the set from the second rotation onwards and international if you're using the 24 second rotation because uh the second rotation you want to be doing this this this and as you can see on my banner i didn't actually get the pyro damage bonus i got the hydro but not the pyro if i do hold the e instead because the whole e applies more animal it also means it removes more hydro which means that the same setup will actually get a pyro swirl here and we get the pyro damage we're not at 46.6 anymore but 81. the real main reason is when you want better grouping use your hole to eat also better shield breaking against stuff like multiple elemental shields that you want to swirl together okay so you look at the pyro one i guess that's the lowest one yeah it's a little bit under half yeah so as you guys can see i'm sure the editor can show the difference right the first time we're like a tiny bit under half but with our whole e we're now a significant amount under half instead of just a tiny bit constellation overview mainly how good is c one two six how big is c2 for international and hotel c1 or freedom score and c2 are freedom store honestly i have no [ __ ] clue how good c6 is i'm gonna be real with you guys i do not give a [ __ ] about casual house constellation 6 i have never counted i do not intend on ever calcing it imagine spending thousands of dollars on animal infused normal attacks when you could literally just get it for free c1 is pretty useful this one's fun i think that's the biggest thing about c1 it's not it's not really about it being good it's just that it's a fun constellation because gaza is fun to use so using it one more time is fun it's not great it's not terrible it's just it's a fine constellation one it can help with the um with the energy generation a bit when you're playing on field kazuha because he gets more ease more damage out of it it's nice c2 is his best consolation it's actually pretty solid him increasing his own em by 200 is nice but it's not the relevant part honestly the relevant part is that it increases the iam of characters within the field by 200. this constellation is [ __ ] dog [ __ ] in freeze teams and then uh like mono teams it's technically useful it technically increases damage by a bit because it gives him more em and it also makes his damage percent buff a little bit bigger but it's what zero point zero four percent of two hundred so it's eight percent damage percent which is not that much uh it's not eight percent damage is eight percent damage percent but you already have a bunch of damage percentages you're using kazoo huh it is definitely a strong constellation if you're a dolphin if you're a whale it's a it's a it's a thing you can consider but only if you play him in vape teams and i guess melt teams c1 or freedom sworn probably freedoms for an overseas one if you're only looking for min maxing c1 is fun though so it's like it's a different thing t2 are freedom sworn probably c2 getting c2 kalaha is like getting three five stars right because you it's kazuha and then two other five stars right and if you win the 50 50 on calhoun you could have won the 50 50 on someone else right so effectively by going for c2 cause ah you're basically saying yeah i'm okay with not going for two characters as a general rule i would never recommend five star constellations just because you'll reach the point where you can 36 or abyss without too much effort eventually and then you can have the choice either wow i have a bunch of characters that have a few constellations or i have like three times as many characters that i can swap between personally i get more enjoyment out of the game when i swap teams around and i just adapt my team to whatever content i'm facing i get to play a bunch of different teams it's less repetitive i like it just just keep in mind that it is costing you like two [ __ ] sumerian characters you're losing out on two possible dendro characters by going for c200 aren't his talents worth leveling in an em build yes and no his talents increase his damage in an em build they don't increase it by that much but they still increase it and the reality is every single stat increase that you can get in this game will eventually plateau either by being hard limited for example you cannot get higher than level 90 or by being soft limited like artifacts where the better your artifacts are the longer it will take for you to get a better artifact and so effectively once your artifacts are at a certain quality then it's going to take you so long that getting to get better artifacts for a minor damage increase that the minor damage increase you get from increasing your talent levels will be more resin effective resin efficient so in other words every single unit's talents that actually are used right so like maybe not ryden's normal attacks even four units that don't build for their talents will be worth leveling up eventually is he worth leveling to 90 yes leveling him to 90 should be your first priority with your puzzle just do it just [ __ ] do it it's worth it what element should his burst right infuse in the freeze team you kind of want to infuse hydro because it's relatively easy to swirl cryo because of the way that the aura works hydro is the one that's a little bit harder to freeze but honestly it's mostly just that it helps with your up time as long as you swirl cryo i generally prefer infusing hydro uh but honestly both are fine sack versus five depends on what you're doing um in some teams suck is better in some teams five is better the general baseline is if you need a lot of energy generation go foul if you can swap into him multiple times in such a way that you get more than one fast rock five will maybe even be better than freedom sworn that's how [ __ ] good fab is probably not but like close that's really [ __ ] good uh sidesword it's more of a comfort weapon and it's it's mostly just really useful for the grouping if you really need the the grouping and obviously if you've already used your file on someone else or you don't have fab that's also pretty good general value of freedom sworn on him and how it measures up against other weapons let's cover later five especially in okay never [ __ ] place coward blade don't play skyward blade on your kazoha you don't play 5 just because it has an er subset you play 5 because it's possible it's broken as [ __ ] scarred like passive is useless the freedom this one is nice the biggest like downside to it is that it's basically never gonna be better than pulling for a weapon on your carry if you can only go for one five star weapon and you know what team you're gonna play you're better off pulling engulfing for ryden or homa for hutow but pulling freedom storm for kazuhan will benefit multiple different possible teams that you can make right so it kind of depends but yeah is there a situation where a spreadsheet cancel is plunged basically only when the shatter would ungroup the enemies and you want to keep them grouped effectively yoga shots and maybe rift towns because those are like the only enemies where they don't get probably sucked in by his by his e the vacuum right they'll actually get really sucked in by this and then the they get staggered like actually to narnia by the plunge attack even then it's still not terrible to use the plunge attack is he future proof i hate that question how likely is it that we'll get a nerf in the future i don't think any unit is ever going to get a direct nerf now indirect nerf by like making content with that unit isn't that good can happen but cause not a unit that's good in specific content and bad another because it has a unit that's good in specific teams no matter what the content is so that's not really going to affect him since he only he can only infuse but non-governmental does that mean he can't brute force uh probably moving on to enemies with an eight or yes that does mean that he can't do that with sucrose when you're fighting a cryo slime when you're fighting a cryohypostasis you can actually blow a swirl to reduce their uh power resistance but yeah that means he can't get the pyro buff on uh enemies with an innate aura or a suprascan yes that is true our motto animal team is actually good no mono animal like as a concept is [ __ ] terrible because so many animal units deal most of their damage from swirls and if you're only if you have four animal units you don't have swirls against two or more targets those vents burst out damage kazoo they're very much in line with each other in terms of personal damage ventis versus seven instances of the swirl whereas is only six but causal has e is two instances of squirrel whereas ventis is only one they end up basically doing about the same amount of damage when he busted on his teammates elemental damage bonus when can it be a good option to use an attack goblet on them instead of the typical damage bonus the biggest problem with uh with attack outlets is you have so many [ __ ] external attack buffs like no bless is basically the easiest conditional set to trigger in the game right so you always basically get 20 attacks on double that you always get your you only get your feather and very often you also get a sentence which means that you already get a bunch of attackers and sources or a bunch of attack buffs even without actively going for them even without a bad buff even without a power resonance even without the tackle you already have a lot of attack which makes the attack goblet damage increase a lot lower so you basically need to get a lot of damage percent for attack goblet to be better or you need to have some some sort of hybrid scaling yeah effectively it's not really going to make a difference thoughts on the upcoming event weapon for him but yeah assuming this is the effect that it has attack percent sub stat dog [ __ ] on kazuha that's not what you want it's not er it's not em it can go [ __ ] itself normal character plunges back his opponents it will whip up a human gail dealing every damage so it's basically a bit of damage and a bit of self-attack buff so also kind of useless it's not em it's not er it's not a bug for your team i don't like it at all thoughts on die car dark iron sword comes out it's effectively just like strictly worse than iron sting but it's what i use because i don't want to [ __ ] waste my prototypes on iron stain if you want to go for like amanova refines on an ayaka or something you can use dark iron sword that's a hot sure yeah uh what do you think was the primary reason he had such a poor reception back in 1.6 i think a big portion of it is that people were calling him a an expensive suit girls which i've already talked about earlier i think is accurate but people underestimated the [ __ ] out of sucrose people used to call secrets walmart venti right back in 1.0 and so a skewed perception of sucrose led to the phrase expensive sucrose making people think he wasn't that good but in reality expensive sucrose is good that's that's pog leah also it was the last spatula for 2.0 and a lot of people were saving for the 2.0 characters okay does he have good synergy with xiao no he doesn't he's kind of just [ __ ] with xiao can you do a casa impression in en and japanese clouds hide the birds call clouds hide the birds come [Music] can i do japanese probably not isa uh i think that does it right oh yeah my youtube i forgot to do my youtube bye
