Shop My Stash | August 2021

[Music] hi my name is jackie and this is my channel i just call it everyday with jackie now on my channel you'll be sure to find some shop my stash videos a little bit of vlogging a little bit of know each and every time that i upload a video and for my returning subscribers it's good to see you as always welcome to today's video now for today we are going to be shopping my stash for some products to use for the month of august and i'm not sure if i'm going to do two weeks or the full month but we'll figure that out later but if you're interested in seeing which products i'll be pulling then please keep on watching okay so as i mentioned we are shopping my stash for some new products uh to use for the month of august and it looks like i used all of these products a little bit longer my current shop my stash looks like i used them a little bit longer because i forgot that we were on vacation from work so i had like three weeks off so you know i wasn't really wearing makeup all that much so i just decided to keep all the products in and just use them until the end of the month so i will be rolling the footage of the items that were in my shop my stash for july just to refresh your memory but before i do i do want to make mention of some products that did not work out for me and actually i think it was just one yeah and it was this palette right here this is the hashtag given la la beauty and on the back it says that this is the grown woman's palette i received this in a boxy charm and i was so excited to receive it i was like this is the perfect everyday palette and i thought i was just going to get along with it fabulously but that was not the case and i'll let you know why um in this palette the matte shades which are these this one and this one the matte shades they don't show up that's that's just the bottom line they do not show up and for me you guys know if you're lost longtime subscribers for me you know i'm very light-handed with my palettes you know i don't swirl my brush i just lay it down and then i'll go in i was swirling i was swirling it up because this these masks are not pigmented now i did use this palette for my eye look today but i could not use it as a standalone palette i had to dip into some other palettes and i'm going to give you some swatches just to show you what i mean but when it comes to the shimmer shades a1 hardly any complaints about those it's just these mattes that did not perform so if you did receive this palette in your boxycharm please let me know below if this was a palette that you enjoyed using or if you had the same struggle as i did but i was really surprised so um this is one of the mats that i tried to use quite a bit this is all the payoff you get and you guys see that i went in it just does not have great pigmentation do you see it's it's ridiculous i was so shocked it just it does not show up so i mean literally you guys i would swirl my brush in here and then put it on my eyelid i mean i had to swirl and swirl no payoff whatsoever um this one right here let's try this one so in that aspect this palette i think the okay the ones i used was boss lady and just now bridal party now i think this one cobble kisses this kind of red shade i think it did perform better but i was just you know none of them were like amazing but on the other hand like i mentioned the shimmer shades like the one that says say yes it is gorgeous and i do have that like right in the inner part of my eye i didn't do a dramatic look or anything you know i was just trying to get something on my eyes so we can film the video but you see what i'm saying the shimmer shades are beautiful but i don't know let's go in with this shade right here the ring so it's just really the matte shades in the palette that i was not a fan of and this first shade i swatched when i put it on my eyes it kind of has like a kind of like a um gold tone to it it kind of shifts to like a gold tone also and i think it was so pretty but um i i kind of went back and forth do i want to declutter this palette or do i want to keep it but um i think i'm going to keep it because like i said the shimmer shades are beautiful but i'll just have to use another companion palette for my matte shades so this really was a disappointing palette for me as far as the mats so i mean i guess it's 50 50. but now that i know i definitely would not this would not be a palette that i would purchase and i think actually that's the only bummer that i had for the month of july i think everything else in my shop my stash worked out really well um including let me just rehash some of my new products this flower powder by beauty bakery it worked out i know i wore it under my eyes to set my eyes concealer i wore it one time and the rest of the time that i used it i just used it as an all-over face powder so this performed really well when i do like it and what else knew that i had oh i'm not sure if this is i've been doing july's shop by sasha so long i can't remember but i think this was a new product the tarte glow one and how i used this is i would put this down before my concealer and it added just a nice little luminosity to my under eyes i didn't thought it was too glowy or anything and i just like the way it looked under my concealer so i do like that and i think i think think that this l'oreal oh let me just mention this is in the shade ablaze and my flower powder is in the shade almond chestnut and i also had this l'oreal paris infallible full wear concealer in the shade honey 415 honey and i really like this i really liked combining both of these together i like the way it looked underneath the under eyes because sometimes i did feel like this was a little light but when i mixed the two together it looked so good and because this is kind of a full coverage i appreciated the luminosity that the tarte glow one gave so i think these are all the new products that i had everything else um i had in my stash before um also i do want to make mention [Music] that i where is it i think it's in my bathroom okay so i thought i would turn another light on as well okay so i also wanted to mention a foundation that i've had a year maybe two that i hardly ever get any use out of i don't know why i don't know if i thought it was kind of because it is a full coverage i don't know if i was just thinking it's heavy on the skin or maybe i didn't really i liked it but i wasn't crazy about it i don't know but putting it in my shop my stash for july you guys i love it i that's why shopping your stash is such a good idea because the foundation that i'm talking about is this estee lauder double wear stay in place foundation and i have the shade six in mocha you guys if you follow me on instagram i was always putting pictures up because this foundation just looks so good on my skin i am definitely going to invest in the pump because maybe that's why i didn't pull it i don't know but i definitely am going to invest in a pump but i i don't have this on today this is my one day since i'm shooting my new shop my stash that i get to play in whatever makeup i want to so i just put a powder foundation on because it was easiest but this right here i love it i love my skin just look good in this foundation in my opinion i was just loving how how the skin looked now the first day that i wore it i think i went in a little heavy and i was like don't know if i really love it and then the rest of the time that i used it and i used this one several times i think i had one more foundation in here the sicily foundation i think i used this twice and the rest of the time it was this i just i just love the way it performed even after eight hours and i would come home my skin still look good and so i don't know i i am here for it i just really liked it a lot and i was just like you've had this forever and never showed it any love let me tell you i'm gonna be picking this puppy up all the time because i love it and don't be surprised it may be in my august shop my stash i'm just saying i don't know but it may show up so i also wanted to mention one more thing one more item that's not a part of my shop my stash because i don't put these types of items in my shop my stash but it's a fragrance that i've been using uh for the month of august and i'm just looking at it and it doesn't because why doesn't it have to show the name i'm gonna have to pop it up on the screen now it doesn't even show the name but it is this fragrance right here it is the fragrance with julia roberts the v the bell i think it's called but i'll put it on the screen i've already been a fan of this i always get compliments when i wear this perfume and i hadn't picked it up in a little bit so i started wearing it for the month of august and i remember when i wore it to the pharmacy one of the uh one of my friends there this young man there he was like miss jackie he said smelling good you know so every time i wear this i get compliments so and i love the way it smells as well i'm always throughout the day doing this just so i can get a whiff of it it smells so good so this is one of my fragrances for the month of july that i was wearing constantly and i love this this is definitely going to be a repurchase whenever the time comes so i just wanted to mention this really quickly so now we'll go ahead this is probably already 20 minutes but now we'll go ahead and roll the footage of my shop my stash for july so we can jump into pulling some items for the month of august keep watching okay so i am in my little beauty space and we're ready to go ahead and choose some items for august um my august shop my stash so i'm not sure if i want to do it in here because i don't know about the lighting but let's just see how it looks and if i have to make a shift then we'll do it at that time so in my monthly basket i already have the products that i just normally keep in my shop my stash and this is what i'm just going to focus on having in there every month so the first thing that we want to do is pull a foundation and let's see i did mention that i may want to keep my estee lauder in there and you guys just indulge me because i do want to use i do want to use it again i disliked it so much so i am going to repeat one of the items and put this back in and then we'll find something new um i really don't want anything hydrating was thinking about putting this eavesdrop by fenty beauty back in because i just like i like it because it's kind of lightweight doesn't feel heavy on the skin but i think i've had that not too long ago so maybe i will go ahead and put my alma beauty i haven't used this in a while i don't believe so maybe i will go ahead and put this in my shop my stash and then of course i do have some products here by my for my project pan you know what i think maybe i will make a dedicated um attempt to use this tarte face tape foundation because it is in my project pen and i have not used it not once so maybe i will make an attempt to use this as well so i'll put that in there okay so these are all the foundations that we're going to be using now let's travel up to primers now i only have um three poor blurring no for poor blurring products so i think i'm going to go ahead and take out this elf poreless putty primer and we're going to put this in and for a face primers um let's see i really did not use the hourglass that much at all so we'll just move on let's put i don't want to use my bobbi brown i feel like and i say this a lot but i just feel like i don't have that many face primers oh i know one that i want to use and i wasn't even aware i buy stuff sometimes and i don't even know what it is so i did see that this product by elf is a hydrating primer mist and i did want to try this i've had this forever and i first when i bought it i wasn't paying attention and i really thought it was kind of like a setting spray and then i looked at it the other day and i was like oh this would be perfect for this time of the year so i think i want to use this as a primer and let me see if i can find one more um let's see i have some primers over in this area as well not that many though i have my touch and sole my fenty beauty which i just had and then we have the fenty beauty hydrating which i don't really want a hydrating per se primer so [Applause] um yeah i guess we'll try this too faced hangover but i think i have a a small size that i've been using instead of this big one yeah and here's the smaller size i rather concentrate on using this yeah i rather concentrate on using this instead of the full size so we'll get through this first so we'll put that in there now for our eye primer what did i use last i use the fenty beauty glass yeah i used this fenty beauty the last time so we're not going to use that i don't have that many so let me just take out the milani eyeshadow primer which i do love and then in here i do have my mac paint pot so we'll use that one as well and you know i always say that all my stickers are coming off i always say that i can avail myself to my project pant items as well and i'm probably going to get some use out of this tatcha as well i just want to go ahead and put this in yeah let me just go ahead and put that in just cut to the chase okay and up here for concealers usually i kind of know what i want to use but i don't know for this shot my stash at all i do know i haven't used this hourglass concealer very much at all so let's just go ahead and start the ball rolling with that and i think i do want to put this um tarte shape tape glow wand in again because i do like that and i need one more concealer and i've already kind of had my mind set that i wanted to use this morphe because i haven't used that in a while i don't believe so let's just use that concealer and i don't really think i'm pulling anything from this drawer hold on okay so i do need a eyebrow one so that's for sure um and i need a or do i want to use this i just don't really have time for this in the mornings i don't believe i'm gonna pull it and see maybe i did because sometimes if my brows are groomed it's pretty fast so i'll put that in there but i will have a backup plan so i have my room of london so let's go in i don't have that many eyebrow pencils so let's oh you know what i do have a new one that i have not used yet i was gonna say let's go back with the huda beauty but i did receive an eyebrow pencil that was an eyeliner i think i already see the eyebrow pencil from one of myself from my boxy charm but i haven't used it [Applause] yes um pretty sure this is the eyebrow pencil yes okay so this is by real her and this is an eyebrow pencil i received this in my boxycharm before i started filming my unboxings so let's put this in a see if this is something okay here's a spoolie i think i remember checking it out before i put it in here yeah and let me see if this first let's see if it's a good shade it looks like it's going to be a good shade match look at the pencil that look at the um look how thin that is and and here's the shade so i think it should work out let's try this brow pencil because we've never used it and that's it from that drawer because i already have my sent where is it well i have my fenty beauty um mascara and i also have my too faced better than sex mascara that we keep on hand and they are in here so we don't need to pull the mascara now i normally don't put skin care in my shop my stash but i have run out of some items and i just incorporated something new um actually from my drunk elephant drawer i finally decided to start using some of these products because i've had this little drawer for a bit now and i thought it would be a good idea to start using some of the products before they went bad it's just so funny how drunk elephant when i came on the scene with makeup drunk elephant everybody was talking about and now i hardly hear anybody mentioning it but for my nighttime moisturizer i have been using this protein polypeptide cream for nighttime moisture so let's pull because i just finished the daytime so let's go ahead since this is open let's go ahead and use this glam glow moisture trip as my daytime moisturizer and i got a new product from my boxycharm this month this is the dermalect outcrease retinol trifecta serum and this is it right here so i have used this a couple of times and so far i really like it so do you want to just go ahead and use it for the month of august just to really get a good take on it and let's see the only thing else that we really need to focus on is a setting spray and i think i don't use this all that often so i think let's try this urban decay all-nighter this right here my face and we'll use something we'll pull something else that may be a little bit more hydrating what would that be what would that be oh is this the matte version this is the matte and yeah here's the hydrating and this is by black radiance let's pull this my basket is getting too full i have to put some stuff over in this one okay so now all we need to do is pull a palette here's the nyx palette that i just used in my july shop my stash and i'll pop a picture up in case you didn't see the video with me using it i'll pop a picture up of that um usually i have no idea but i do know i've already made one selection and that's going to be my morphe palette this is the 9j just to crush and remember i was telling you the hashtag lala beauty palette the mattes were not working for me so i did dip into this palette i think i dipped into this shade right here then i started looking at the other ones and i was like yes let's just use this as one of our palettes for august and i haven't used this lemonade yet or limeade i haven't used this one yet i'll never be able to get this stuff back in here okay um i feel like i use this natasha denona all the time but do i you guys do i really this would be so pretty let's pull this um i when i got this palette i wasn't i really wasn't comfortable with it i just used it a little bit but i feel more comfortable with this so let's pull that and see i really think that's gonna be it okay so yeah i think oh we're not even done yet i didn't pull anything from this drawer uh for let's start with first oops we're gonna first start with our highlighter because i just got this highlighter from boxycharm and i really like it so let's pull this for um august and then oh you guys okay we're not there yet so let me pump my breaks okay so for blush um okay so for blush i do want to pull this julius place palette right here i think this is going to be a such a pretty palette to wear so let's pull that okay so for the last item is our powders and our contours our bronzers so i already have an idea one powder that i want to use and that's my too faced ethereal setting powder in the shade medium so i am gonna pull this product oh and you guys i have something to tell you okay so you guys know i have been using this kaja and this is the zero three mocha molo play bento and it has the the blush the highlighter and i've been saying that this was a contour because it was so deep hey guys this is not a contour it is a bronzer and let me see if i can show you what it looks like i just felt like it was so deep it had to be a contour but i actually have it on today as a bronzer and it's not that bad actually it is deep but you know if you blend it in pretty good you can make it work so yeah i have it on today so my bad this is a it's a bronzer not a contour but i'm not pulling it so um let's see i need a under eye powder and i don't have very many options for that i mean i do have options oh let's use no not that how about our laura mercier translucent we can have that or we can do the hourglass or remember i purchased the charlotte tilbury because i like the way it looked underneath my eyes and this shade the um the shade is this the dark but i may want to try this fenty beauty this is in honey and sometimes it doesn't work out for me and that's just reminding me that i think i want to try the huda because i had that in kanapha here it is maybe we'll try this again to see how it looks underneath the eyes let's pull this but on standby i think i'll have the laura mercier translucent just in case it does not work out well and okay i still need a bronzer let's see it's either going to be the let's go with let's go with what i just used no i didn't just use my coloring i just used my fenty beauty and i feel like i didn't even use it that much let me put this one in again because man okay so i think that's it i think we have pulled everything that we will need for my shop my sash and yeah let's go ahead and do my round up okay so we have our roundup and you guys saw everything that i'm pulling so there's really no need to rehash that and you saw my standby items that i normally keep in my shop my stash so the only thing else is i'm gonna pull i guess i'm gonna start trying to do this as well um pull a fragrance and so i did pull i'm trying to rotate uh through the fragrances that i hardly ever use and not because i don't like them it's just sometimes i forget in the morning i'm in in such a hurry that i just don't bother or i know when i was going to church instead of just attending virtually i would always pull a fragrance for sunday but um i just haven't been using fragrances all that often i do a body spray after my shower at night and i've been loving that because i used to do that either so i'm using one of the um bath and body work sprays and i really love it and it just makes me feel kind of grown when i spray it on at night and just slide under the cover so i like that and so for with all that said for the fragrance that i'm going to be using for the next two weeks or for the month is going to be my gucci guilty i think i'm going to use this and what turned me on to wanting to try this is when i was in ulta i smelled the gucci floral i am going to pick it up they did send me a 15 discount from sephora for fragrances but at the time i just didn't have it in my budget to buy the gucci floral plus they have so many of them that i think i've honed in on the one that i want but i want to check it out one more time just to make sure and take a picture of it because i try to narrow it down twice and then i get home and i'm like is it this one or did it or was it this one so i'm just gonna go ahead and take a picture but i think i know the one that i want to purchase and then when the sephora sale comes about maybe i'll just go ahead and pick it up then but for this uh next two weeks or for the month still not sure i am going to choose this um guilty gucci fragrance and again you saw everything i normally don't exclude skincare but i've included it um i normally don't do serums or anything but i've included it this month and we'll see how that works out um the only reason i'm including it because i know these are going to be products that i continue to use until i use them up so i won't be you know using like the drunk elephant for two weeks and then if i do two more weeks i'm not going to choose another one these are the items that i am going to be using on a regular basis so um where is the other one so i'm gonna you'll see this in every video because these are the products i'm gonna be using until i use them up oh let me tell you i've been using this eye cream at night too and i really like it let me grab that okay so here we go um now this is by i think this is by belief and this is their p miracle eye cream everything has truly run off rubbed off but i think that's what it is um i have used this before and i liked it but i haven't you know really did a dedicated use with it and that's what i've been doing now i've been going in and it just feels so nourishing underneath my under eyes i usually wear it at night and i just do my serums and my sunscreen and stuff during the day and i'm almost out of that sunscreen guys i cannot wait because i want to get another one because that one was just not my favorite so i just been concentrating using this at night so i will continue to do this every single night until it's gone and this i think would be a repurchase because like i said it just feels so nourishing underneath the eyes at night and i just like the consistency and the formula of it so i'm definitely going to continue with that so these are all the products that we will be using in my shop my stash for the next two weeks or for the month i still don't know yet but these are the products that we'll be using um as usual i will go ahead and do a clip at the end of the video showing you all the products together just so you can kind of refresh your mind but um that's it for the video make sure you watch the clip at the end so you can see all
