are these the movies goodbye ahead you eat this idiot okay okay ah dude if you eat all of it right okay [Music] I came in here today thinking we're just gonna eat this liver and then he just kind of went to town chopping every part off this fish can be cooked in so many ways Kevin starts by preparing the liver boil some water add sake then let the liver boil for about six minutes next fried monkfish monkfish fillet stomach head meat it all gets coated in flour and fried for a few minutes wait you have chopsticks why do I nothing huh oh I mean that's wha thank you this is the liver of the monkfish not a lot of strong seasoning or anything on there it's get a nice big piece this orange spicy radish put on some scallion this is kind of a citrus flavored soy sauce very common here and honestly it's an odd-looking fish here so look at the fish again right now see a little bit scary what I try to do when I'm eating something a little weird like this out of my comfort zone is just try to imagine what people who like it like about it oh not that man I'm gonna put myself in the locals shoes and see what is so yummy about this monkfish liver ready oh holy whoa that is a foie gras of the sea that is so creamy it just kind of disintegrates and falls apart in your mouth immediately it's hardly any kind of oceanic fishiness to it I'm gonna get another one okay ready go oh it's skills boys she what she buttery creamy smooth I love that that is rich and beautiful this is the prized part of the fish right here this is just a flame just kind of simply breaded and fried how do we eat this demo call me Oh lemon whole name ready ready okay mmm it's just like really thick it's kind of like that box fish I had in Indonesia it is a robust hearty fish but it tastes delicious to me you might this is part of the skin bro come on now we're getting into the weird territory thewhat is that eat this super gelatinous fatty skin with some kind of fried pieces on the outside I don't even know how it managed to Brian you're gonna know okay [Music] yummy it tastes good it feels strange like jello next up monk fish hotpot all the odds and ends Kevin sliced up earlier get happy in the boiling broth filled with vegetables well better carrot a bit of mushroom little bit of other mushroom a little bit of our other mushroom a lot of greens it's all the instant hotpot put it inside there we go just boil it and we're ready putting in the vegetables no cucumber and then oh this is the most fun part these gooey slimy body parts of the monkfish he got a little bit of every body part and then with his beautiful radiant red gills on top just a dash of dashi here is the broth [Music] some hot pots they have kind of the fire going constantly underneath here they dress boiled some vegetables in the fish in there and it's inside of this super hot clay pot mmm this is egg sac or it's eggs it's a sac you want to watch me it's okay okay all right thank you mm-hmm like a sheet of flesh that slowly rips apart the texture is like so good so interesting these are the gills yes no remember those I'm such an animal the gills that work like bright orange bright red kind of a dark brown color now completely transformed but some funds that funds the D the gills are dripping with sauce you ready Cheers mmm it's like lungs but some parts are hard like some of those feathering parts of the gills very hard but overall I like it my man thank you so much gargling boom [Music] from cute -
