"Shipping your Car and Furniture to Costa Rica". Who to use. Just a part of living in Paradise

hi theo vinstra let's buy costa rica at tres amigos realty group i want to talk quickly about uh shipping your things into costa rica i get this question a lot and i see it online a lot who do i use for a shipper i've shipped things both ways from north america to costa rica and from costa rica to north america when i shipped from north america to costa rica i was in north america to pack up when i shipped some furniture that i bought here back to canada i was not here to pack up and my shipper handled it all for me was absolutely amazing i was so impressed with what they did anyway there's obviously more than one shipper in the country but i do suggest this i use a costa rican shipper importer from door to door here's why if you have a problem with customs anything at all and there's a stumbling block it will generally be at the destination which of course in this case is costa rica and you want somebody here on the ground that's costa rican speaks english for you and speaks spanish of course and is used to dealing with customs here you want hands-on if you have somebody in north america there's lots of great shippers they're not here on the ground they can't go and have those face-to-face in-person meetings that you might need i did run into one problem when i shipped my stuff here i brought a snowmobile for fun for the kids it didn't have an engine in it i took the gas tank out of it made it easy to ship and uh when it got here they said hey it doesn't have an ownership and so anyway thank god i had my guy here on the ground now i've had a couple clients that have used outside shippers one horror story here is they use the shipper from united states good chipper maybe they got their stuff here and costa rica put a stop to the container it had some new stuff still in the packages which of course comes at a different rate than the used household goods and it had a vehicle in there that wasn't it was the first time that particular make and model of vehicle had ever been into the country that stuff is still sitting in a warehouse in san jose eight months later and the american importer exporter is nowhere to be found that's my point right there it doesn't get any clearer than that okay and that's the issue the man that sent the stuff didn't do anything wrong other than he didn't use a local importer it's so important and my importer will tell you that my importer will tell you when he ships in the other direction they use somebody locally there on the ground that they know and trust and have had experience with to make sure that everything goes through customs and inspections properly going in the other direction so i just wanted to explain that to you i wanted that to be perfectly perfectly clear um i'm happy to give you the uh name of the importer i don't take referrals uh on behalf of anybody's work it's just uh it's somebody that i know i trust i've used them other people have used them i get excellent reviews people call me back and say hey you know what that guy's unbelievable so anyway it is what it is and i just wanted to share that with you other than that theo meenstra let's buy costa rica dot com tres amigos realty group please take a moment and subscribe down below and like the video it's a part of my marketing and the more of course i can grow that it is selling real estate is a big part of my business of course it's all my business and uh but i like to do these videos to inform everybody and you know what there's lots of people that have learned lots of hard lessons around the world the hard way and this is a really easy way to guide people correctly so anyway poor evita and uh feel free to pick up the telephone give me a call send me an email and until then goodbye you
