Super cool! I once tried this with a couple stills of the battlestar galactica ship in BSG, but it was pretty rough. I wonder how many famous movie scenes are just waiting to be reconstructed like this. Crazy to think it is possible to visit places in movies with only the video frames itself as source data.
As rough as it may be, I would love to see an automated version of this do you could upload a film to be converted. Any obscure title could have its own world reconstructed - that'd be pretty cool.
