all right sharky how's it going yo yo what's good bro challenge chillin man you know you're just checking out some of the stuff he was doing man you've been grinding for a while you've been doing music you know i'm saying you worked with like a lot of like the hottest artists on the west coast i see man yeah yeah you know have did like over 110 music videos doing for like over 10 years now 110 music videos yeah yeah man that's that's a lot of music videos man yeah a lot of grinding man a lot of hard work yeah you stay grinding that's for sure right what what was the cause of you uh slowing up these past few years uh i had my kids i got a son and two daughters just got tired of that really wanted to travel wanted to do other stuff i just really wasn't motivated to do music and [ __ ] like that excuse me um yeah i just really wasn't motivated [ __ ] the homies really just pressed me to start doing that [ __ ] again uh yeah last year i started dropping music again that's what's up man well we'll go ahead and get all into your story you know what i'm saying i think you've probably talked about some stuff but we'll try to maybe dig a little deeper you know what i'm saying maybe talk about some different stuff that you know maybe other people might have not touched on so um for the people who don't know where'd you grow up at uh like uh elementary middle school i wasn't around like the norwalk long beach area and then like like eighth grade i moved to uh to west l.a with my mom and her husband and then i stayed at my grandma's house too back and forth off of pico uh pico and crenshaw kind of like by koreatown and [ __ ] so i like bounced around a lot okay so you lived in west l.a so like uh uh like englewood or nah it's about like the 10 the 10 off for arlington and you just make a right when you exit well depending which way you go toward toward hollywood and then uh west la like like by university high school right there by uni high okay you live with your grandma how can we live with your uh your parents uh i mean i went back and forth i'd be like my mom's or my grandparents it was mostly like back and forth type [ __ ] okay and what was it like for you growing up at that point uh i mean [ __ ] it was cool like everybody was always at work so like you know after school i would just go outside hang with my friends you know get into trouble trying to find a little money play [ __ ] like that okay and at one point you moved to south central uh no i never lived in south central i'll just go to the set all the time have the homies pick me up or if i'd have a car at the time i'll go drive over there go [ __ ] around for the set for a couple days and [ __ ] okay how did you how did you get uh you know mixed up with hoover and everything uh should always had homies from the set and [ __ ] uh really when i started going to jail and [ __ ] when i got out of camp that's when i got you know my official put on and then you know just [ __ ] started from there really for real did you start you started claiming it at first nah i never started claiming to say until i was official they were just my homies and [ __ ] like that like i'll just be around type [ __ ] smoking and getting money uh once you know you go to cam you deal with all the the politics in the halls and all that [ __ ] so then when i came home that's when i want you know got my official and [ __ ] started really banging the side and all that and what was it like when you got put on how many people jumped you in uh just two 52 seconds quick okay how old were you i was 17. okay what made you decide that you wanted to get mixed up with gangs uh you know when all your homies from somewhere and [ __ ] you wanna do what they do type [ __ ] follow what your friends do type of [ __ ] uh you know when you grow up and around l.a long beach compton all that angle with all that [ __ ] you know you're going to pick somewhere to be from that's that's where i ended up being from so you felt like you just kind of just always wanted to be in the streets it's just something you wanted to do i mean i was always in the streets i was just never you know gang banging i was just always on some money type [ __ ] high school you know got more into the politics and all that [ __ ] and i don't know you know i just want to do the same [ __ ] my friends are doing type [ __ ] that's from hoover i wanted to be from hoover you know you don't want to be the outcast uh not in your crew type of [ __ ] how did things change for you when you when you became officially from hoover [ __ ] one of the most hated gangs in l.a you know you should find out how real [ __ ] get real quick yeah [ __ ] in the game should god you know showing crazy is there like any situation that like stands out you know where you were like oh okay you know i'm saying like you noticed the big deal i mean i was always like you know me my homies would always fight like since we were younger and all that [ __ ] so you just really just kind of like the same [ __ ] fighting older people type of [ __ ] i mean like might be more and more shootings and [ __ ] like that but i don't know like you know growing up in l.a it'd be like it'd be normal type of [ __ ] don't really like how can i explain it like i don't know you just be used to this [ __ ] really should be normal to you seeing [ __ ] like that be normal yeah i shouldn't really get did you get different like by seeing and experiencing [ __ ] i mean it got different by like probably i had to fight more type of [ __ ] like that maybe like that but uh yeah nothing really like too much what is you think you had your first life or death situation [ __ ] [ __ ] i used to always be like the youngest homie so like 12 13 like i would be around my older homies in high school people would have whips like we go to parties like you know growing up that [ __ ] like house parties are getting shot up club getting shot up like that should be normal like you ducking down seeing people get shot bodies fly uh just like it'd be normal so probably like 12 13 i started experiencing all that all that crazy [ __ ] what did your family think when they found out you were mixed up in the streets i mean i just had my mom and my grandparents you know my grandparents they from korea so they don't really they don't really know what's going on type of [ __ ] and then my mom was young like she had me when she was 18 so you know she was always working trying to trying to take care of [ __ ] so it was just like i was just really just doing myself like out there doing me type of [ __ ] really your family didn't uh they so they didn't really like know or get into it too much nah did you get locked up or anything yeah when i was um 15 i caught my first pistol charge i did i did a month on juvenile cause my first case and then i got probation and then i went i went back uh on a violation to uh that's when i got sentenced to camp uh okay so you go to camp and how long are you there on camp uh i was in the house for a month and then i just did a three month sentence okay i went to uh camp muns the little uh the boot camp type of [ __ ] right there by magic mountain [ __ ] was cool it was better than the halls and [ __ ] it was cool okay so you go to camp you get out and then that's when you decide to get put on yeah that's why i got put on right when i got out of camp right when i uh i turned 17 in camp and then i got out like two weeks after my birthday and then i got i got put on like i think we're on halloween time type [ __ ] okay now were you going to school or anything no i had got my uh my ged in camp because i was gonna be on probation when i got out i knew i wasn't gonna go to school so i was gonna violate again so i just did a little gd course and then got my gd and then so that i didn't have to go to school when i got out now you get out you've been to camp you get put on hoover are you working a job at all do you ever try to get a real job or anything no no i was just in the streets uh after i turned 18 i got off probation me my homie got a spot at the uh a condo at the rossini in downtown a little condo joint and then um yeah i stayed i stayed in the uh downtown until i was like like 20 and then i [ __ ] got my son's mom and then we moved to vegas type [ __ ] okay so you moved to vegas yeah how long did you move to vegas for uh i was out there for like two years from i was like like 20 21 to like 24 types 23 24 type [ __ ] were you rapping at this time uh yeah when i was uh well that when i got out of camp that's when i started rapping too because i go to school so we have i have [ __ ] else to do i formed a little uh a little group of my homies type [ __ ] uh so tattered boys and our [ __ ] was pretty poppin and then um that lasted like a year and i got tired of the group [ __ ] i just did miss solo i had dropped a a tape with lex luger i said they're pretty good and then yeah i was just always like off and on doing the music type [ __ ] the solo [ __ ] i was you know built up my catalog are you the only asian from hoover uh that i'm aware of should i even know no other asians there's a lot of hispanics and uh black people from the set but uh predominantly african-american i mean but um yeah i don't know nobody else up like you know the race is from the set like that really but it'd be so many hoovers you know it's hard it's hard to know everybody we being you know all type of states head of state so like yeah we held a deep okay but not not any from south central that you know of no no i ain't meant that yeah yeah you mentioned there's a lot of mexicans now or hispanics yeah there's a lot of hispanics from our section when you got put on was there a lot of hispanics or is that something that's kind of no it's always been a lot of hispanics from the 50s it won't from you know from all the hoovers but like our [ __ ] like the 50s like it's a lot of hispanics from like trouble and hoover so uh it'd be normal type of [ __ ] okay at one point the hoovers were crips we're we're still crips i'm from fighters super gangster but uh the rest of the homies they're they're criminals okay does it mean anything or is you guys just still one oh yeah you know seven one six fifties who the gunners you know i [ __ ] with all the homies from all the sets but uh you know we just say cut a lot that's all really against the crit but you know hoover's hoover go to the pen the field or whatever we gonna have each other's backs type [ __ ] for sure okay now you mentioned being the only asian from hoover what's that like being the only asian dude say you stand out more and the ops want to get you more you know more fades [ __ ] like that [ __ ] all type of [ __ ] that i'd be having to deal with should be cause you got to stand out a little bit right i mean you know asian and faithful attacks yeah if you [ __ ] up sound like standing out like a sore thumb it should be janky okay now as you're rapping are you meeting a lot of people doing a lot of things at first um i mean like before music you know this book from being around a a lot i i know a lot of people so once i started rapping you know it was easy for for me to get people to get on songs and [ __ ] like that okay who was like the first notable feature that you had um [Music] a lot of people from like cali gave me a bunch of features of slim 400 av stupid young joe moses um compton menace anybody really you could think you could think of how did you link up with all those all those guys you know you know when you're in the field when you outside everybody knows everybody just just tap in i i hit up them they hit me up and just get the [ __ ] done okay so you knew slim 400 before rap before rap uh nah i think i met him like uh [Music] like like they all like yg and all them used to be from something called pushes inc i like the little party [ __ ] and i was from beach boys so like we would all throw parties and [ __ ] like that so i i met a lot of them like like around like 18 19 20 type [ __ ] like being around the club scene and [ __ ] like that okay okay you know growing up you know i'm sure there's like a lot of you know a lot of wild [ __ ] that happens especially like in south central being from hoover is there any situations that you know i'm saying you could talk about you know what i'm saying that they kind of stick out to you i mean [ __ ] i got like a million stories it depends like what kind like some funny type [ __ ] some some scary type [ __ ] like let me get you know one of each let me get like a you know maybe a funny story and then you know maybe something you know a life or death situation type of thing uh some funny [ __ ] though i mean the homies just always go still bottles a lot we just got a little bottle runs and [ __ ] before we get ready for the weekend and [ __ ] we was in um i forgot where was that but they had like a little a little patron set up at the liquor store and i was i was high as [ __ ] i just smoked a bun i told the homie like go grab all the boxes and when you do it i'm gonna talk i'm gonna light a firework and throw it into the into the spot so then he went in i seen him start grabbing this [ __ ] i went inside the store i let the bottle rock get through it the clerk started screaming and then jumped down and then we just all ran out ran back to the car had like like 20 balls of patron type [ __ ] that's what was funny as [ __ ] i feel bad about it now but you know when you're a [ __ ] kid you're high [ __ ] wrong with your friend you know you do a bunch of dumb [ __ ] uh some scary [ __ ] uh me and my homie buddy from compton um we was at a club one one night and then um i forgot i think the homies i got into was somebody or something that happened when we went outside and then we just started hearing aaron's shooting and then and then we just had to get on and then you just hear all the bullets like you know hitting the cars by you and all the all the fences and all that [ __ ] that [ __ ] was wild but like again shot at it it's always wild though [ __ ] really that should be freaky damn what was like the closest situation you had at that point where you like you almost got killed [ __ ] push it a bunch of times [ __ ] [ __ ] around with the homies the [ __ ] always going down we didn't probably got shot at like what like 10 20 times type [ __ ] like you never know what could happen you're hearing the bullets going past you hitting [ __ ] by you seeing other people get shy that should be you know it should be crazy but it'd be it'd be normal too at the same time you can kind of get used to it type [ __ ] so i seen you did a song with draco yeah back in the day yeah before he uh he did this county his county bed yeah we did some [ __ ] recipes draco man recipes draco that's kind of crazy you know what i'm saying being that you guys kind of ended up i don't know i don't know if you guys had it for any personal beef but you know i'm saying that you guys you guys as hoods you know i mean i i i met him from my uh from my homie from my section and he would always take me over to uh draco's mom's house like you know shoot dogs and smoking [ __ ] like that i like all that like all that new type of [ __ ] new drama type [ __ ] like oh i really ain't really aware of you know that kind of [ __ ] but this was like like what like like like six seven maybe eight years ago that we used to you know shoot dice back there type [ __ ] a little while ago yeah that's that's just tripp you know what i'm saying um well l.a small it's like you know any other city everybody gonna know everybody everybody know all the same plugs [ __ ] all the same [ __ ] going to the same strip clubs it's kind of hard not not knowing you know who who's who and what what when everybody's you know around the same [ __ ] really yeah okay and you guys end up doing a song together yeah we did a uh we did a music video shot in hollywood she was pretty cool were you surprised when draco started blowing up the way he did uh no not really because you know his [ __ ] was always different and like unique type of [ __ ] so once he really started dropping [ __ ] you know you knew it was gonna blow up kind of blow up type [ __ ] really okay was he rapping when you guys met yeah okay i think the um that mr doe i just came out around that time okay that was a while ago man yeah so draco goes to jail when he he catches his case now do you guys stay in contact or anything uh nah my uh my homie from my section was more closer to him i just he would bring me along with him when he would go over there but like you know we would chop it up like that but we wasn't you know i would get money [ __ ] [ __ ] together type [ __ ] you know like like for formal type [ __ ] you know see somebody say what's up type [ __ ] start shooting die smoking that [ __ ] it'd be a lot of people over there though it wouldn't be just us it'd be like you know like 10 15 people over there shooting dice and [ __ ] were you surprised when you found out he got killed uh i mean not really not to sound [ __ ] up but not really you know when you you know in in the field you know talking all that you know talking reckless you know being disrespectful to other people you know [ __ ] that come with it it was it's unfortunate i don't wish death on nobody but you gotta you know you gotta be be prepared for [ __ ] like that you gotta have security you gotta have other homies with you going to [ __ ] like that like i was hoping you know the younger younger generation is more aware and more prepared for you know for [ __ ] like that when you doing and talking you know [ __ ] like that yeah man i thought that was a big loss just for the west coast you know yeah you know especially you know it seemed like he was really about to peek off especially with that drake feature too you know so unfortunate the way [ __ ] happened yeah i thought he was about to take off even more you know he had his unique style he had his core fan base you know he was from the west coast once you get that drake feature is pretty much over from there you know that draco coastline gonna take you a long way at least a couple of chores type [ __ ] yeah that's real [ __ ] you mentioned you and trell yeah yeah that's tommy from my from the 50s so you guys have known each other you know since you were kids um i'm on trail for probably like like seven eight years oh okay okay once he was like once he was like i think he was tiger's road manager some kind of position with uh you know what going on with that and um he started having the homies around a lot during all that like when rack city was dropping and [ __ ] ain't [ __ ] was dropping like all that all that that that time type of [ __ ] that's when i i met him and then started coming around more and [ __ ] he would invite me out and [ __ ] okay what was that time like hey you know what i'm saying so you're you're not become a rapper and you're seeing tiger blow up i mean i was like well like 18 19 so i mean you know you go from being in in the 50s in the [ __ ] ghetto to pulling up in hollywood going to clubs with like wayne wiz you know all different type of artists all the time you know it's just [ __ ] was crazy especially when you when you're young you know used to that [ __ ] it was hella fun it was it was a cool little experience tiger shot one of his videos in your hood right uh like three three yeah the uh the uh hard and the pain-free style that's the one i was actually thinking of [ __ ] ain't [ __ ] oh okay we're uh we're him and yg were in our front yard that was i was in the 50s oh [ __ ] yeah i think that was that um i think i was at um i forgot i forgot one of the older homies houses though tiger had paid him like 2500 to use his house for the video and then um i think he did another another video with um in a set yeah it was quick he was just [ __ ] with the set for like i think like two years type [ __ ] and i don't really know like you know what happened around without uh after that [ __ ] but yeah he just stopped coming around and you guys you you had some sort of fallout with tiger you had to issue a tiger or something nah no no no um nah this trail was just trying to get me signed the last kings and some of the homies didn't like it some did type [ __ ] the deal just never never ended up going through type [ __ ] oh yeah and uh trail uh yeah trouble trying to get me on with with that whole [ __ ] that's it really okay that's what's up nyg was supposed to hop on a hop on one of our songs but uh that never that never went through it took too long and then we had by then we already had the video shoot set up uh we had shot that [ __ ] with jordan towers and he was popping back then and [ __ ] but now like tiger was just really quiet when he'd be around the homies and [ __ ] like that really he didn't really really say much i didn't go on like i'm like tour with them though like with all the other homies type [ __ ] though really sort of like uh i don't really know i mostly just just interacted with trail type [ __ ] like trouble the one invited me places had me come to vegas for magic have me do a little last kings photo shoot and [ __ ] like that okay that's what's up i i think i seen somewhere that you actually got shot at one point or you got shot recently yeah uh last year in september i got hit in my uh my thigh and when uh in the in the back of my thigh and up out the front i got a little scar a little scar in the back in the front i don't think they can see i don't know if they can see it or not can you take me through what happened uh i was i was just in the uh in my area and [ __ ] get some tacos just just caught slipping type [ __ ] started hearing gunshots just started running and then you know nice you know you just feel your leg hot and you just see all the blood and [ __ ] just they caught me slipping type [ __ ] i interviewed little reese out of chicago okay and and we talked about him getting shot you know he got shot he got shot in the neck and everything and he said when he got shot he didn't even really like realize he was shot did you like know you were shot yeah i knew i was shocked when i was uh like i just you know just you just start hearing the bullets always i was taking off and then when i was running like this [ __ ] like like jerked my body a little bit you know i was just telling myself don't fall down it's gonna be over if you fall down see i got when i got hit i like jerked a little bit and then i just kept on kept on getting on so you take off you still run do you hop in a car and go straight to the hospital uh i was getting i was uh by my car when the shoot when when i started hearing the shots and i had to run away from my car so then i was like at like the end of the street when the shooting stopped and then i had to like i couldn't i couldn't walk on my right leg so i had like the homie run down there come help me and then go go in his car and then take me to the hospital type [ __ ] you get to the hospital what happens when you get there tell that [ __ ] i'm shot help help sen saying help [ __ ] yeah this time they stupid ass to come help me the homies dropped me off and then yeah they came and got it uh got that little it's like the movie type [ __ ] they get the little bed they throw you on that [ __ ] i ask you what happened please come they check your [ __ ] out um i didn't handle bones or nothing so i didn't have to get surgery or nothing and i was up there for just like 24 hours and then they discharged me that's not bad yeah we just it just went through the muscle it was only one shot did you walk out of the hospital uh no i had to use uh crutches and then a cane for like two two months two and a half months but he was like you know like a chunk of my muscle gone so i couldn't really i couldn't walk walk on it for a while how long do you think before you started walking again uh without a cane like three months damn from like like september after thanksgiving i couldn't i couldn't walk normal you know like christmas like december end of november like nah like december i will start walking without that [ __ ] but it still be hurting sometimes but i can't feel like my left side of my shin and [ __ ] my shit's numb now oh you hit some nerves it hit some nerves yeah i think so yeah my whole left side of my shoes now damn yeah that's life well that's good that's good you're okay though that's all that matters really again as long as i can walk [ __ ] i'm good yeah real [ __ ] well i believe you are getting ready to turn yourself in here uh yeah i guess since uh next week and my lawyer said they're gonna give me 90 days to turn myself in so i just was trying to get all this [ __ ] done before then i took a a five-year plea with the feds so i'm gonna do a little federal bid what were you charged with oh [ __ ] identity identity theft fraud wire transfer all type of [ __ ] it was like like i think like seven or eight felonies and then on the plea deal i just uh pled guilty to two so i got i got i got two felonies and then i gotta pay back like 250 000 written restitution damn yeah the fed's janky man should be [ __ ] up damn bro so okay you gotta train something you gotta do five years uh five with 85 and then you know they have pro like you know programs and [ __ ] go to school and do little classes and get some time knocked off and [ __ ] i'll probably do like less than three really and it's not violent too and if you know the culvert and all that [ __ ] the fans be kicking people out pretty quick we'll probably be away for like you know two two and a half type [ __ ] sure hopefully hopefully you don't keep you too long yeah facts should be boring as [ __ ] in there yeah real [ __ ] you know one of the things you mentioned that you stick out with your tattoos you got a lot of tattoos man too many is there any meanings or anything to any of them yeah most of my [ __ ] got me in or some [ __ ] is like a gap filler some show look cool i got my kids portraits i got a bunch of like my favorite movies and [ __ ] got a bunch of gang [ __ ] all type of [ __ ] i got everything so let's see you got the lips yeah his lips uh [ __ ] the tattoo wall okay okay let me see what else you got okay so you got the h yeah the i got the figaro figs figueroa [ __ ] i got a bunch of [ __ ] i got i got every everything only i don't got is uh like the like the top chopper part of my thighs or my in my like lower lower back which one is it the pyramid yeah the austin i this [ __ ] on the dollar bill okay some money type [ __ ] yeah i got a hell of a [ __ ] you got la over here yeah on this side okay what's up what's the writing right there uh my daughter's name okay what about on your neck uh right here uh this is so teddy a little group i was in like an angel a little little ed hearty [ __ ] praying hands jesus face i got i got hella [ __ ] i got chi william right here with the little [ __ ] the cop [ __ ] i got uh the [ __ ] from boys in the hood where he had the shotgun i just got uh the paid and full uh one of the scenes and paid him full uh i got uh pablo with no chapel on my back of my thighs big as hell oh [ __ ] i heal this [ __ ] man i got all type of [ __ ] what was your first tattoo uh my initials on my back arm okay then was it like an addiction when you first got it you was like yeah yeah i wanted to like once you get one and like to me it will look weird with like just like a tap right here and then like skin all around it like i don't know right once i started getting this [ __ ] i just wanted everything to connect and then like keep getting more and more and then yeah i probably i probably did like from 17 to 18 i couldn't even go swimming because i was getting tired like every every week every other week and and yeah i probably like when i went to jail i had taps but then when i got out of the camp that's when i really went when like i started getting healthy [ __ ] on my face and all that uh i think like yeah from like 17 to 18 i had like like like 70 of all my tents did your family say anything when you started getting tats on your face yeah they was asking me why and [ __ ] like that but you know sorry i was already outside it was too late by then and then as soon as i turned 18 i got my own spot so nobody nobody couldn't tell me nothing really after then i mean i wish i wouldn't get this [ __ ] knowing i know now but you know it's too late now okay so you you you regret the face tattoos no all of them i would if i went back i would get no chance no doubt because it's easier to like like if you look discreet and look like how the square look like it's easy for you to do a lot of [ __ ] like like with me going in like to to apply for like a a a home loan or go get a new little luxury condo like you know you'd be looking janky type [ __ ] you know i would rather rather look like a squaring be like that if i could do it over but i'm [ __ ] stuck with stuck with these shits now [ __ ] yeah are you gonna get any more touches uh my homie kane got a tad shop in boston i go out there like every like two or three months it's just like just like i just got that this screen mask last month i'm just like i got like three baby sharks for my kids um i'm just really finishing everything like connecting my thighs to the legs all the background and yeah it's just like going over [ __ ] right now really oh okay you touching some stuff up yeah just connecting everything fixing old [ __ ] just yeah i literally ain't got no more room so it's like yeah you look like you're running out your chest your body off your body full too yeah i got everything but my armpits i don't want to shave armpits against that [ __ ] that should seem like it's going to hurt i don't want to deal with that which one was the most painful uh the ribs in the stomach i tapped out like three times like my stomach took me like i got it done when i was started when i was like 16 17 and i didn't finish it i was like 25 26. oh okay that [ __ ] hurt like you know back then they didn't have numbing cream and [ __ ] so
