[Music] hey everyone and welcome to my youtube channel digital storm and i'm dennis and today what we're going to do we're going to set up a vps server on vulture.com and also install cyberpanel with open lightspeed and then go ahead and get a wordpress website activated on that the first thing we need to do is go ahead and go vulturevultr.com if you haven't already set up an account go ahead and set your account up if you have go ahead and there's a deploy or just kick deploy and they bring you this page where it says deploy new instance of course there's four different servers we could choose from high frequency cloud compute bare metal and dedicated cloud of course cloud compute as you can see it starts off at five dollars and go up it's a good for what you get there's no problem i've been hearing good things about the high frequency and basically high frequency is a high performance or a higher clock speed of their intel processor and it's supposed to produce a lot better overall performance but it costs about 20 percent more where this would be five dollars this is six but i'm gonna try the high frequency and of course you can pick any one you want next we're gonna go server locations okay of course you can see that vulture has servers in many parts of the country so pick the one that's closest to you your audience or clients and for me i'm picking dallas for this tutorial then we're going to go down server type and you could pick whichever operating system you want for this and one pick ubuntu 20.04 that's their long term release and for server size i'm gonna go with 32 gig solid state drive for six dollars a month one cpu one gig of memory and one terabyte of bandwidth y'all this is plenty of power or plenty of you know memory and bandwidth for multiple small websites so there's no really sense in getting anything bigger unless you you know got a website with a lot of traffic and of course one thing about vulture vulture is similar lenode uh aws which is amazon web service gcp which is google cloud platform or digitalocean they're all are very good unmanaged servers and for the price you pay you get a lot of speed and performance out of them but so it doesn't matter which one you pick because they're easy to scale up when needed or scaled down and additional features i'm going to enable the ip6 i'm gonna go down server host name and label you can label it anything you want i'm gonna leave this ubuntu demo and then after you get through that at the right hit deploy now and what it's going to do it's going to go ahead and start installing the ubuntu operating system of course it says the server edit successfully so it's spinning up as you could tell let me scroll past this this is there it shows be installing of course as you can see while it's installing we click on it it won't do anything it says the subscription is not currently active you cannot manage it so it shouldn't take but a minute or two it'll then go like this and shows be running and then we'll go into it and then we'll start configuring our stuff but while it's doing that let me move this back down just so i can see if you're on a mac go your spotlight and type in terminal because we will be using terminal and it should bring up your terminal similar to mine and if you're on a windows you can use a putty terminal which is the website p-u-t-t-y dot org and download that terminal and you can use it of course you see it shows running now it's on the dallas location and it's installed the ubanto 20.04 under the one gigabyte of high frequency and here is my ip address so let's go into ubuntu all right y'all now we see location ip user and pass these three is going to be your main ones right now go back terminal type in root or correction let me back up ssh root the at symbol copy your ip address come back up paste it in of course now it just basically it's throwing us hey we don't recognize this host are you you sure so saved we're going to say yes we are and it'll permanently edit now it's going to be asking for our passcode go back down passcode copy come up paste and hit enter now as you see it's already installed welcome to ubuntu it's already installed it got everything's going on and now we're in the back end of our server so i want you to open up a new web page or a tab and type in cyberpanel.net which is cyber p a n e l dot net this will take you cyber panels home page and of course what we're gonna install is the cyber panel plus open light speed it's free it's very good it's got a lot of uh i guess functionality but of course right next to it is the cyber panel plus lightspeed ent which is their enterprise version which has a little bit more features and but it's a paid version of cyber panel but all we need is the new one and but what we're gonna do is go docs okay you see that word docs click it come down cyber panel install and upgrade the number one and click it then underneath that installing cyber panel as you can tell we're going to uh go down there's both of them here a script for the open source one and a script for the enterprise one what we're going to do is highlight and copy the open source one or the first one go back to your terminal right click paste all right and now see it's installing start uh kind of giving us the initial startup for installing cyberpanel now is to asking us do we want to install cyberpanel yes we hit number one or type in number one it's checking our disk space it says that we're going to need 10 gigabyte of free space y'all if y'all done the high frequency you got 32 gigs 10 gigabytes off that's nothing like i said it's either scale up later so just go ahead and we're going to do it install the cyber panel with open light speed that's the one we want so type in number one click enter and then it's going to say install full service for cyber panel this includes the power dns post fix and pure f t p d capital y uh we're going to install all of it we want a complete setup no for my sequel or n and this is basically letting you know what version of cyber panel you want of course at the time of this recording it's version point 2.1.1 i want the latest version but you can pick whichever one you want so if you want the latest version just click the enter button and now you need to either pick your uh password had cyber panel regularly generate one or use their default i like pick mine so i'm going to click s and i'm going to type in my passcode then it's going to ask the firm which i like because it doesn't show you what you're entering and just in case you make a mistake and yes we want to install memcached process so click y we want to install redus or reddit and we want to install watchdog kill and once i hit enter on that as you can tell it's going to start working it's going to start installing all the packages and it's going to take probably about 10 minutes so i will pause the video and get back to you once this gets installed okay everyone we're back and it's fully installed as you can tell it shows that installed cyber panel successfully what i recommend is y'all go ahead and copy this put it on some kind of text editor a word doc or something because it's going to be a user and pass panels if you haven't already changed it or your rain loop which we're going to do a different video on that where set up your own email server so just copy and paste that as you can see it said would you like to restart your server now of course we're going to type yes and we're going to hit restart it's closed it and we're going to go back in and remember how i showed you go back in ssh root the at symbol go back over to your ip address copy it and then we come back we'll paste it on the terminal and click enter and of course do you gotta do your passcode and now it says that see the server has installed cyberpanel enjoy your accelerated internet by cyber panel and of course we could just verify it's in there by clicking ls and see it pops up cyber panel dot sh so we know it in there that it is in there next thing we need to do we'll copy this little uh you could do either do it from your server or right here click copy it's going to be login to https and that's going to be your ip address the colon and ad90 what that does is take us to the cyber panel side it'll bring us this first but y'all hold up let me just tell you it says your connection isn't private yeah we know that we can see is not but it just you know like all of it they're just warning us but what we're going to do we're going to type in this is un safe and as you can tell it's spinning around it's about to take us to cyber penal login which it did and we'll cl we'll get that unsafe that not secure stuff fixed in a little bit later but what i want y'all to do is click admin in the passcode i don't know if you generated a passcode randomly or you're using default or you made one but whichever code you made at the beginning that's the one you type in here all right now let me tell you i've been playing around in this cyber panel and it's really got a lot of good features in it it allows us to do a lot of stuff on the back end of our server and it's a it's a pretty good little thing and it comes with the open light speed or the light speed server so i mean it's awesome for what you get and everything and it's free that makes even better and okay so we got this in now of course if you click website list website you see there's no website so we're good we got cyber panel installed on a vulture vps unmanaged server and and it's under the ubuntu operating system now what we're going to do we're going to create a website so and in order to do that we need to get a domain name now if you haven't already bought a domain name i got a video showing you how to buy one from namecheap but any register would be worked fine they may be a little different but they all work about the same way so it don't matter which register you use i use multiple registers google domains.google's pork buns and of course namecheap so if you haven't already a bottled domain and you know how go see my other video but if you did go where you got your domain name in my case it's namecheap and i got cyberpanel.xyz what we need to do we need to set this up point our website so we need to go back vulture of course my expired so i need to log in and let me click this run one you blend demo highlight and click the uh ip address and let me see let's go back this and we're going to go to advanced dns sign me out again so bear with me y'all we're gonna get it going in just a second all right when you go advanced dns you you go down you see there's already a couple a a c name record and something else there just go ahead and click those and delete them we don't need them we don't install our own record so what we're going to do is go down here it says add new records where whichever domain register you're at it should be similar and the first thing we'll go is a record and for the host we're going to put the x symbol and the value we're going to write or click and put paste that's going to be our ip address the ttl automatic leave it there and hit the check mark or save it we're going to add a new record now we're going to add a c name record and for host we're going to type www and for the target we're going to type site or whatever domain name when i say cyber panel is just substitute it with your domain name cyber panel dot x y z and of course leave it automatic and save changes now we got a a record nfc name already saved up here when i go back here we go domain it should stay the same but if not you can check it go name server it should be dom namecheek basic dns or wherever yours at you should be fine it shouldn't have changed what we're going to do now is go watts my dns.net and this is a little a place that you could put your either your ip address or you could put your name in like here's a records and we could check all different other things and we can see if it's propagating it or if it's due as you could tell it got some check marks dallas boston and a few others but mainly x but it's going to get more check marks the longer it is still propagating or we could do cname type in www dot whatever your domain name is and click search and as you can tell is propagated pretty much most of it and even if i hit a name or the a search it still shows pretty much all of it maybe one or two x three and guess what they will eventually turn check marks so we know they're being recognized all over the world at these dns servers so we're good at this point okay everyone we're back into cyber panels the backend server part of it what we got done now is we set up a vps server with ubuntu operating system on cyber panel and a open uh lightspeed server we got our donate domain name set up and we're pointing at our unmanaged server or now it's gonna be banished by you now go back into cyber panel and of course go websites click the websites and we're gonna create a website click create website select package you only got one an owner uh default and owner select as admin domain name don't put www in front it will automatically be created but like mine is cyber panel dot x y z and email whatever email you want to use it could be a personal it could be a business just put you an email address down whatever domain name you got put it in when you select your php whatever version you want i'm selecting 8.0 like have the most state updated version an additional feature i want to type ssl and dkim support and this dkim support is going to come in handy later because i'm gonna show you up on another video i set up a email server so you don't have to pay for it it'll be your personal email server and then hit create website now starting the creation of the website setting up directories and hopefully it'll install a let's crypt uh ssl because that's what they normally use unless something goes wrong then it just signs a root directory or unsigned ssl so hopefully it is signed correct one go back websites click list websites and go manage whatever website you got as you could tell cyber panel xyz has an ssl from let's encrypt that's good we got it it's doing good now we got us the next step we're going to do we're going to go ahead and install our wordpress website so go down the very bottom where it says application installer and wordpress plus ls cache or lightspeed cache click it it'll bring you to the site then you cite whatever you want them name on dakota is the best son in the world of course i'm sure everybody's got the best son in the world just dakota's my user login you could put whatever you want i'm just going to type in this and login passcode set you up passcode remember this is going to be the passcode and login for your website not for cyberpanel and whatever email you want to use for it of course on the path just leave it blank and hit install now of course it's saying this in starting install is downloading it's installing configuring it's installing ls cache and now it's activating so it's almost finished now it says it's completely installed wordpress so let's go back up to websites list websites and of course you see right here we don't see if it's installed and you can do that by opening up a new tab type in whatever website you had in my case it's cyber cyberpanel dot x y z colon 80 90. and this right here will bring me pretty much back to cyber panel login page as you can tell it's showing it your connections isn't secure because what is not recognizing cyber panel it only recognized the ip address the last time so we have bypassed this the same way that we did the last one by saying this is unsafe now it brings us to the screen again you type in admin and the passcode you put for cyberpanel and sign in now while we're here i'm going to go ahead and exit this now as you can tell now we're under cyber panel we're not under the ip address no more so it recognized cyber panel allow us come in it but as you can tell it's still unsecure we're going to go and secure this now we'll go down where it says ssl go host name ssl and click it this here should secure the cyber panel click the website you want to use as your host in my case it's going to be serverpanel.xyz and hit issued or click issue ssl now it says ssl issue for cyber panel 80 90. so we're going to exit out of this and we're going to go back in it so type in your domain name uh colon 8090 again perfect see it's got the lock symbol now it's not saying hey this is unsecure or anything it's got to https which means secure and if we click it it will actually tell us that it is pretty much you know that is by let's encrypt so we good we got the the website installed we got the website secured we got the host cyber panel secure okay what i want you to do now open a new tab we're going to type in whatever domain that you put in dot x y z for mine and click enter and see if it there we go it took me my website but it's showing be unsecure y'all and this is the thing but as you can tell i'm at my wordpress website because y'all see me typing in dakota is the best i guess i forgot the sun but it says the best the world so but you have you notice it says unsecure we're going to fix that let me show you how go back into cyber panel go to the website the list website go manage cyber panel go all the way to the bottom let me see it go up hold on there we are go under configurations re-write rules and before i jump into this let me just show you this way www.cyberpanel.xyz see these they're both showing unsecured so what we're going to do we're going to do re write rules click it we're going to type force http into https and when you do that it'll automatically generate a script that's one thing i like about uh cyber panel it will generate this script where it'll force http into a secure regardless what you put and put save rewrite rules now go back let me click refresh and as you could tell cyber panel xyz is secure connection secure and there's the cyber panel with r3 and here's another thing let me type in www.cyberpanel.xyz it shows it's secure so it doesn't matter which way you're you put it in it's going to be secure now so now what we've done we set up an unmanaged vps server on vulture we installed uh ubuntu operating system we installed a cyber panel with open lightspeed server we installed a wordpress website and we purchased a domain and directed that domain that website and the last thing i want to show you is how to access the wordpress website okay y'all the last thing i want to do is show y'all how to actually go into the back end of your wordpress website y'all maybe are familiar but just type in whatever your website address is it's for slash wp dot admin of course when you were setting up that words say press website on cyber panel you was typing in all that stuff just put it right here and of course click enter and this will take you to the back end of your website where you can got see there's your lightspeed cache that we installed it's already got settings on it so man we we done a good job on everything we got everything completed and i hope y'all like this video and i want y'all to subscribe and like my videos because i'm gonna put out more to come and to comment on what y'all would like me to do and like this will end this video then thank y'all you
