[Music] hi guys welcome to this new vlog if you watched my last vlog you know that i decided to start a small ceramics business from home so i made a couple orders last week i bought some eco-friendly packing material i bought some new clay some new glazes so literally a quarter of my apartment right now is just filled with those orders so i thought it would be fun to unpack everything together i'll show you guys what i got for those of you who are interested because there are a couple of you on instagram who asked me to show the things that i got and then we'll organize my space i'm excited i feel like it's not really being captured well on camera but it's literally a quarter of my living room it's just taken up by all of these guys so let's start with the small packages first also i found this on the side of the road i needed a bigger basket thing to carry my ceramics to the pottery studio anyway so this is perfect another little manifestation success all right i have you guys propped up on my little stand here first one let's make sure i don't show my dress is a couple of new glazes which i'm really excited about this is from another website that i usually buy my stuff from usually i buy my stuff from this website called hot clay but this is from pot clay so it sounds very familiar very much the same but it's a different one so i got this micro stroke and coat stoneware glaze i had this one before this is the pink one that i have but this one has speckles in it which i'm really excited about then i have this box cream speckled glaze all of these are for stoneware by the way also a lot of you have been asking about a video on how i make my ceramics from start to finish at home and i am currently filming a video on that it should be up next week um since well it's what we made together and that video is drying right now and we're gonna glaze it tomorrow um but yeah keep an eye out for that so this is another speckles glaze it's very similar to the one i had before the other one was matte though and this one is a glossy one and i realized after playing around with a couple of different glazes that i prefer glossy glazes over matte glazes so that's why i got a nice um bottle of that one then i have a lavender glaze which i'm so excited about because i love purples and then a beige it's called sand glaze which i'm really excited about as well so those were just the i think so right yeah those are just four new glazes that i got and then i got a new bag twelve and a half kilo bags of clay which is really heavy i don't know why you guys but i always get so excited over new packages do you guys remember the vlog i think it was in december of last year when i got my first order of clay i'm still not fully through my last bag i still have i think like a kilo left or so but i thought it'd be good to have some extra one in store and i'm going to be holding on to all of probably the boxes as well and the packing material so i can use that in my own orders wow i guess i should hold on to this as well so i got a potter's rib before i was using my old credit card and you'll see in my upcoming video i showed as one of the tools my old credit card now i have a professional wallet oh this is so cool they gave me a sample glaze it's a it's called milled pepper so i'm gonna have to look on the website and see what that color will look like once it's fired but this place hot clay they always give me extra samples which is really sweet it's literally so much [Laughter] oh my god i'm so weak this is my favorite white throwing clay to stoneware clay from hot plate so now let's open the sustainable packing material that i bought this one's gonna be a little bit harder to show guys it's a massive box these are biodegradable packing nuggets peanuts whatever they're called they're the ones made from starch so they just dissolve in water and um i got about 200 liters 210 liters of these so who needs a boyfriend when you can cuddle packing peanuts right and then i got about 20 of these boxes they're 20 by 20. and these will be perfect for mugs or small plates as i will show you guys in a little bit i have been collecting boxes over the last few months um bigger boxes as well so if there's even order that doesn't fit in a box like these i can just use one of those that i have kept to the side and i have six of these these are paper tape so you can see they're just paper and they have some glue on the back here i just wanted one of them but it came with six so i just i got six of them so if my ceramic business doesn't take off i'll be stuck with a lot of tape and then i also got some tissue paper it kind of cracked it remember it's just white regular tissue paper obviously tissue paper is just made from paper so you can just recycle it and i think that's about it so the idea is to wrap my ceramics in tissue paper fill the boxes with these peanuts and that's basically it so now we need to organize everything and give everything a place in my flat i don't know where i'm going to stock this guy because i didn't realize how big he is so let's figure that out together so this is my current setup in my wardrobe i have a little place that i created here for all of my like materials basically so i have whatever is left over from my previous bag of clay all of my tools are in this box i have some extra towels and then back here i have a little rack with basically all my glazes on here so let's first put our glazes in our clay here in this little place that i created for them okay so first off i'm going to put my new bag of clay it's kind of a hard angle to film at here guys oh come on you can do this muscles new bag of clay check onto the glazes alrighty so i have a couple of new glazes here and also my potter's rib which i'm so excited about i think i'm going to move i have some like i'm not sure if you guys can see that but there i have another shelf but i house mainly like paint things like this is the paint that i use to paint my mirror and my stool i got some samples the other time this is earthenware so i can't use it because i have stoneware clay so i still have it here in case i ever want to start working with earthenware or if i want to gift this to someone i'm just going to put it up here also which one is it this glaze i don't really use much this was a sample as well i'm not like the biggest fan of it so i'm just gonna put all of them that i don't use as much up here this is the matte glaze that i was talking about i love it but as i said i prefer more glossy glazes so i'm gonna put this up here as well oh i'm so excited this was the old one that i talked about i have upside down so that the glaze is at the bottom and i can squeeze it out a lot better and this is the i was gonna say the one with sprinkles the one with speckles no sprinkles sorry guys okay sand lavender this is the one that i need to figure out what it actually looks like i don't know about you guys but i like to make things look really pretty and organized so i know some people would just chuck this stuff in here and just like not bother making it look a certain way but i think i'm going to put the sample just up here and i'll look at the website and see if i like it or not before i put it down here with the ones that i do like actually i'm going to put the wax resist on the side because i don't use it as much as the transparent glaze and then the potter's rib we're going to put in my little thing here i have a little bowl with all of my tools bam this part is done now let's go to the packing and material last weekend i cleaned out everything in my ottoman this used to house all of my yoga props but i'm going to sell quite a few of them like 75 of my yoga props because i don't only do yoga as often anymore i'm not teaching anymore so i don't need things like three yoga mats you know so this instead now has become my packing house where or whatever place wires throw all my packing so these are all things that i have been saving up over the last few months obviously i wouldn't be using this for my ceramics these are just um bubble wrap envelopes or whatever you call them but these are good for like vintage or depop orders i saved some bubble wrap some boxes these are good for like small dishes or plates to send some extra boxes extra packing material and this is normally the crate in which i carry my green wear to the studio to get it um fired but as i said i found this bigger one so i might end up hello there here i might end up using that one so i'm not sure how i'm going to fit all my packing material in here let's figure it out so the first thing i'm going to do here all of my boxes i don't think these guys are going to fit in there unless i lay them down and they're going to take up a lot of space and i want them to be somewhere i can easily just grab one so i'm going to place them behind the ottoman which you won't be able to see once my big blue pillow is back on there so let's do that first so i'm just going to take a couple at a time place them behind here i just have them stacked here behind and once i have the pillow here you won't really be able to see it so i mean it pokes out a little bit but who cares first thing i want to do is figure out where i can place my paper i'm gonna have to place my paper down somewhere so let's take out this crate some of these guys i might have to get rid of some of the boxes that i saved up in case it doesn't all fit i'm thinking if i'm gonna put the paper down i might as well just put the boxes down in here right let's see change of plants perhaps yeah they don't fully fit in here well they barely do i don't want to fold them or anything i don't have them to have like creases so they see back here putting the paper down or i could create like a level thing with the boxes that i have and put the papers on top some extra paper [Music] this could be like a mini packing station i guess inside my ottoman this is some that i have from flying tiger okay i don't know what to do with this like i don't know what to do with it i put it underneath the paper maybe if i spread it out thinly this is nice okay so that's done now i need to find a place to put my packing penis i almost forgot to show you guys this but my thank you cards came in as well it says it's so groovy and then my logo silk of the label and then on the back says thank you blah blah blah and then i can sign it here on the side sorry that's my camera shutting off um and this is just made on untreated paper so you can easily recycle this as well or you can just keep it as a cute little postcard that you can hang somewhere on your wall or whatever i think it'd be really cute at some point to make stickers as well to add into the order if you wanna stick it somewhere or whatever question is i should probably put these in the ottoman as well i feel like since they are part of the packaging process i only got 10 of them right now because i just wanted to test them out um but once i get in more orders i'll probably just order some more you can just put these here i guess i'm just gonna keep the little protective thing on top of it here and there we go all right i literally have no idea what to do with this great i could try to fit it under my bed but i already have a ton of stuff under my bed so that means that i would have to move a cover under my bed to another place so but i feel like under my bed would make the most sense hold on i really like the way overexposed i think we're good because i already have my packing station here it'd be very easy to just grab some from underneath my bed let's try that all of my underwear drawing table studio lights i'm not even sure it's going to fit though i'm going to give it a bit more space so that i can flatten out it's sticking out interesting printer is coming out as well so now we have all of the packing peanuts literally taking up all the space underneath my bed so we're gonna have to find another home for all these guys the only thing i can't find a place for is my printer and i'd love to have my printer up here on this basket but i decided to put my underwear my socks and my bikinis on here instead but i think what i would like preferably is to clear one of these cubbies here by a basket that fits in it and have all of my like underwear and socks and whatever in there so i'm going to be looking online for a basket that would fit perfectly in there but for now this is going to have to do so again this is just a little overview of my studio up which is so like not professional because it's in my wardrobe but whatever i have all my glazes my clay my materials and a bunch of clothes and other stuff i also don't know where to put my baskets that i use to bring my pottery from the studio and back the smaller one fit in there perfectly i think i'm going to once i start getting orders work through the materials that i saved up first so i can start clearing out quite a bit of the things that i have in here so that i can fit that basket back in there and then the last little bit of my studio setup is where i put my pieces to dry which is basically on my fireplace i have a couple pieces drying here we made this one together you'll see this in the next week's video and then i'm also using this little kitchen trolley to have some pieces to dry as well i have another little bowl here which i'm really excited about serial killer [Music] yeah i don't really like you but i try to so i can't have fun i just roll around with a frown on the run
