Setting up a Reolink E 1 cam with app by a nonprofessional person.

so i'm opening up the box and i'm taking out the all the things that are in the box right now okay so in this little bag i'm getting this leg set all right so in that box with the plug set there's a small gadget and this is going to be the base if you ever decide to install the camera so this is where the water came in this little bag all right so uh i i keep these now if you install this anywhere it does provide some screws or of course you can use your own but make sure that when you install it all right you you want the screws to go in here and you want them to be flush so it's even so if you decide to use your camera on a mount then later you put that camera on there and it connects at the bottom so i'll show you the camera taking off the little plastic it's really cute i have several of these so this at the bottom shows you where the gadget uh the little mount it would mount on and it would lock so you would put that in on the mount and then twist it right twist it so that it would lock in and it would like it at the bottom here if it's just right in the for um for it to be the the mount the little base okay all right so i put that little base in there to show you how you just twist it on and then it fits okay so if you're not gonna install it you're just gonna put your camera somewhere then just save it for a later date so then you don't need to have that little mount at the bottom if you're not going to install it permanently you can just let your camera be connected and sit so right now i'm going to plug up the camera and then i'll show you the next step all right since this is the second one that i'm doing so i have two cameras i just plugged this one in okay so if you wanted to put an sd card on this what you do is you lift this and you can see there's a slot and you just pop in your sd card a 64 megabyte i think is is preferred i've used these cameras and they will override so um i recommend that you get a 64 gigabyte here's so there's one in the old and the one i've already set up but that was the last one i had so what it is it starts to do it starts to chime all i did was plug this up it's not configured yet so what i'm going to be doing is you opening up the app for real link all right and then i want to click on the plus sign at the very top right to add a camera and when it opens up on the plus sign it's going to start to try to recognize the barcode that's on the bottom of the camera and you'll get a prompt on the software this is the software i got from google play so at the bottom is the barcode and your app will want to scan that barcode during this page i usually choose the first one so i can pick your wi-fi connection and you want to log in what's good about the camera system is that it will prompt you so that you can confirm and go next here you look on your modem and get your password and enter it into this app that way your camera will be connected on your network you'll click next for the next screen the real link app will generate a large barcode on your phone move it close to the camera until you hear it click and confirm then the camera will say that it is connecting to the router it is trying to connect to your network the camera will give a confirmation that it has connected connection to the router succeeded welcome to real link so now you need to create a login password for your specific camera it's for the camera itself use lowercase and capital letters and numbers only enter a name for your device maybe kitchen or hallway or living room once the initialization is finished you should be able to see yourself on the camera pan tilt zoom function is easy you can also talk or you can just listen i recommend you put your camera in a corner where it doesn't fall down and hit the floor because it could break and keep it dry too real link app allows me to connect and view from different kinds of real link cameras this is a solar powered camera that i have installed in my front patio this is another e1 camera that i have on my back patio so i can monitor my pets and visiting animals i like that the real link app has a lot of settings that i can adjust and change whenever i want i can set a motion detection alarm or i can set a motion schedule here's a motion detection schedule example that's in the app during the night if there's no light then i may see the picture in black and white but as long as there's some type of light i see it in color it's pretty nice the app allows me to save videos or pictures that i take onto my device using the app but i have them stored permanently i keep one of my cameras in the kitchen so if one of my naughty kitty cats is seen in the kitchen on the camera i can tell them to leave get out this is good so i can see during the night time without light and i can see during the daytime i can schedule when i want motion detection on or if i wanted to just record whatever i choose to record anyway it has the 64 megabyte card in and it will continue to record for several days until weeks before it starts to rewrite on itself so i hope you enjoy the camera as much as i do it's good for monitoring pets children elderly people maybe you just want to put one in your back patio and see the birds and the squirrels you
