how do you know uh Seth McFarland we actually met uh when I auditioned for a family guy that that is a funny story well no but I do have an embarrassing fact about him a lot of you might not know this but uh he's one of the highest paid television writers in history it's so that must be so [Laughter] embarrassing he's he's also uh Co you know created or co-created three of the most successful cartoons of all time he must be [Laughter] humiliated Jesus Alex how about you how do you know Seth how do I know Seth um I I know Seth because I was working on Mad TV at the time when the woman who helped develop that show Wasing working with Seth to develop a Family Guy and it was a just a pilot presentation at the time and she said can you help us do this little voice for this little cartoon thing and I said okay uh and then an embarrassing story is just before coming out um Seth and I uh were making love and um he ejaculated prematurely story but In fairness who wouldn't huh it's embarrassing thank thank goodness thank goodness you had that tide stick huh yes all right Dan what about you how do I follow ejaculation I'll tell you how he [Applause] did uh I knew Seth when I start on the show pre- 911 that's how I gauge everything with set the prer post um in the early years and I I have the distinction of having been the showrunner both times it was cancelled earlier and I would like Seth to promise me that in 68 nine years when family gu canel again bring me on for the last show as the showrunner so I can be there for the cancellation one more time please for three cancellations on the one that'll that'll be our Samaritan law episode yes you'll be there he'll get me into Guinness but so I I ran the show early and it was cancelled and and then have kept kind of kept in touch with all the groups since then Dan Dan's like the old lady on Murder She Wrote wherever he shows up something gets cancelled you know don't invite him to your party man Dave uh I met Seth when I was at Hannah Barbara working on a show called Johnny Bravo and uh and uh it's uh he had just gotten the uh the the pilot from Fox and while everybody else at Hanah bar was pitching pun shows like it's a dog and a fish it's puppy and guppy um he was drawing fat guy arms and sexually ambiguous babies um and that turned into family guys so that's that's how we know each other okay Rich um I I met him the uh day of the uh pilot table read because I was at King of the Hill and Family Guy in those days in the early days had a few offices on our floor and they couldn't fill the room and so they walked around the halls and said would some of the Riders at King of the Hill you know give the impression of the fox Executives that this was a huge event and uh and I remember sitting at the table thinking you know why is there you know a 17-year-old sitting across and uh you know right off the bat it was clear that that was going to be a show that was going to come on big get canceled and come back even bigger that was so and you wore a suit tonight yes I bought this Su earlier than today just to wear tonight no I didn't okay uh Mike uh I met Seth uh the I was hired to write on Family Guy the first season um and uh I think maybe my I think the most embarrassing moment uh that I have of SE I don't you'll remember this uh it was at one of your parties I pulled you aside I'm like what was it like having sex with Alex Borstein and he started explain and just came everywhere you remember that do you remember that I it's important that a panel finds a theme I tell you what you should be happy you had all those shout wipes
