Sermon: "The Great Shepherd"

[Music] [Music] is [Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Applause] and all my friends i just want to say [Music] my to say jesus [Applause] lord i love you [Music] i love you jesus to tell you [Music] [Applause] is [Music] [Applause] [Music] oh [Applause] is [Music] oh on a righteous father father and i pray now in the name of jesus god that you have your way moonshining out the way that you may have your way in me today finally i lift up my pastor now in the name of jesus god i ask that you bless him that you continue to keep reverend christian not only just him father but his wife dr sandia god i'll give you a glory now magnify your name for the leadership of solomon temple continue to move like only you can oh god continue to bless us lead god and direct us and what you have for us in jesus name we pray father i'll lift up reverend jones and robert smith for father thank you for the leadership in jesus name we pray amen amen the word will be coming out of first peter 5. first peter 5 verses 1-11 and the word reads the elders who are among you i exalt i am a fellow elder and a witness of the suffering of christ and also a partaker in the glory that will be revealed shepherd the flock of god which is among you serving as overseas not by compulsion but willing not for dishonest gain but equally not as in lords over those entrusted to you but being examples to the flock and when the chief shepherd appears you will receive the crown of glory that does not fade away likewise you younger people submit yourselves to your elders yes all of you be submissive to one another be clothed with humility for god resists the proud and gives grace to the humble therefore humble yourself under the mighty hand of god that he may exalt you in due time casting all your cares upon him for he cares for you be sober be diligent because you're adversary because your adversary the devil walks about like a royal lion seeking whom he may divide resist him steadfast in the faith knowing that the same suffering are experienced by your brotherhood in the world but may the god of all grace who called us to his eternal glory by christ jesus after you have suffered around perfect establish strengthen and settle you to him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever amen my title is called the great shepherd that's my the name of my title the great shepherd peter addresses the illness of the church those are the leadership and leadership position in the body the church is considered god's people elder is considered an ordained person who serves a local church or churches due to different denominations elders can be translated as pastors ministers evangelists deacons missionary chaplains readers eucharist clergy bishop priest and elder um and they have the peter let them know what type of gifting or what type of skill that they needed in order to serve god there were three things that he wanted to focus on and the first one was feeding as a shepherd's feast his flock a good shepherd will let him he would go before his flock and he would tend to his flock so the first thing i want to discuss is feed food is to give food or an act of giving to an animal a baby or anyone feed means to equip the people of god toward a prosperous lifestyle in the lord you know about seeing how god feed these people the israelites when they were in the desert he fed them with manner not only that but jesus himself was the bread of life secondly the second skill they're supposed to possess is protection that you should be able to protect keep safe from harm or injury ain't to preserve you know like if you stand up on the umbrella protection from the rain but it's also in the church it's the ministry of kindness it's the concern when we have financial issues and providing assistance in life and death situations the third skill that they're supposed to possess as an elder is guidance you're supposed to instruct god's people with the critical information for the journey ahead always leading them in the way that they seek the face of god ministry is to be done joyfully elders understand that it's a privilege to serve god's people it's not a burden when you love god and god has people you are not dishonest or fake with your care of his precious flock simply elders or accountable to god due to monetary value elders should not measure their quality of care by numbers the care of the people are based on the passion the love and the service of god everyone is specific in the design of god's work be good examples before the flock that god may be glorified our leadership should be as such that when the chief shepherd appears we will reap the reward of being faithful the chief shepherd in the text is jesus jesus laid out his life for his sheep as sheep of his pastor his love for us is shown by the shedding of his blood the reward for our service is a crime the crime of glory christian clergy who are shepherds in the flock in unselfish love being a good example to each other that crown is symbolic of the glory and the honor of god it will receive for the believers it is shared with us not just of our own position but to glorify god this crown is incorruptible unfading glory not losing brightness vitality strength glory high renown honor one by noticeable achievements is infinite it's limitless of endless of space extent size impossible to measure or calculate it is an attribute of god not restricted to space ability or power this is the love of god amen and it is the glory of god now and the word when it goes back to the text which i'm going to emphasize on on seven cast all your cares upon him for he cares for you when he says cast all your cares i looked up this word anxiety see anxiety means different from chaos cares and serious attention or consideration applied to doing something correctly or to avoid damage or risk now god sells us to cast it let's forcefully throw it at him and what he gave me as a vision was you know how fishers have his neck this neck that they cast those that have an eight feet or ten feet the fishers know what i'm talking about and they get ready to cast it they forcefully throw that can they cast it out meaning forcefully throw it give it to god all of it not just some because all means i don't correct doesn't only knows used to refer to a whole quality or an extent a particular group he says cast all your cares upon him now anxiety is a feeling of worry and i know i'm not the only one in here that understands that has ever been worried it's dealing with your feelings it's dealing with your emotions do y'all understand what i'm saying when i say anxiety it's a feeling and i'm not the only one to get into my feelings sometimes because you know sometimes i get into my feelings understand what the word of god says and god also equips me with the word but anxiety is intense it's excessive it's persistent um it um causes you to worry and fear about everyday situations i have that sometimes when i get into this poor period to preach god word my heart start beating fast i sweat uh it's rapid breathing sometimes i feel tired now anxiety can also disrupt your body in many ways therefore we have five different disorders that are part of anxiety we have the regular anxiety disorder where you excessively worry and you have intrusive thoughts and fatigue you're tired then we got to generalize was it's severe it's excessive it's also dealing with your emotional side but social anxiety when we're around people your heart starts palpitating you have a fear and you deal with depression then we have separation anxiety that's when children sometimes when they're separated from their parents in a new environment or unfamiliar environment they tend to lash out they have anxiety they cry and they also are apprehensive they're not as trusting then you got all obsessive anxiety those that want to control everything or you have everything have to have a place that is accessible now the root of all of these anxiety is fear and according to the word of god psalms 23 and 4 says yea though i walk through the valley of the shadow of death i will feel no evil for thou art with me thy right and thy staff they come from me it also says in psalms 21 and 7 the lord is the light is my light and my salvation whom shall i fear the lord is the strength of my life and whom shall i be afraid second timothy 1 7 says for god has not given us the spirit of fear but power and of love and of a sound mind the power of god delivers you from fear the holy spirit will enable you to walk in victory you know the love of god and your mind will stay on track i speak life deliverance from fear and i agree with god that you are coming out of anxiety now in the name of jesus jesus name that is above every name every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that jesus is lord hallelujah you know about being free from fear has anyone of you that that freedom that god gives you hallelujah thank you jesus i give you glory for your deliverance thank you jesus now it comes to the time of but the song i wanted to say was god has not given us a spirit of fear but a love of power and of a sound mind understand that god cares and he knows all about you he is our chief shepherd and that chief shepherd loves you so much that he laid down his life for you that he paid the price that we are able to come back unto god to be part of his foe part of his flock and god's people are his own special people there's nothing that you can have in your life and things that you can go through that god has not experienced there is nothing that god does not understand every obstacle every course even things that are unexpected and in this time and in this pandemic we need more love than anything amen we need love to conquer we need love to go forth but the same god that we serve that chief shepherd he loved us so much he is the good shepherd he is the door to the sheep hello somebody but i'm talking about jesus jesus the light that shineth in me jesus who died on the cross not just for me but for you who to save the world no world that includes our all-inclusive save the world from sin amen so now the opportunity has come for those because his message was to encourage the body of christ to continue to walk with the lord and understand that you can cast your cares upon him you take all and to me i want to give him my best i want to give him my all because of what he's done for me not only has he done that for me but i'm sure that you all have a testimony of the goodness of god and you understand that when that chief shepherd appears we're supposed to live our life as such that when jesus returned he's gonna give us that crown and i want my crown to be indefinite it's my sharing of my love for my savior amen i just thank god and i praise him for the things that he continues to do for those that do not know christ i give you the invitation to come and meet a savior come and meet a man that died for you who knew no sin they spat upon him they beat him they even ridiculed him they tried to discredit him but he knew who he was and even he was obedient to god even unto death so this man that died for you this man hallelujah that can set you free is available unto you today all you have to do is just ask him to come into your life you can start your prayer with lord i am a sinner in need of a savior a sinner in need of a savior i ask you god to have complete control of my life i believe that jesus died on the cross for me that he is the son of god and i asked god that by his blood that was shared for me that you allowed me to fellowship with you oh god send me your holy spirit which is the promise of the father because the holy spirit will keep you he will sustain you it will guide you into all truth everything that god said about you the holy spirit will remind you it will bubble up in your spirit and to me the holy spirit to me the word of god is like living water because you need water sometimes yellow been parched and you have a desire to have a drink of water cool water to calm you down to sustain you this well he told a woman at the web of this water that you desire you'll never have a thirst no no god fill you up to the brim oh yes he'll fill you up to the point i just thank you for the opportunity to share the word of god and to also proclaim his word i give god glory for all the things that he has done in jesus name i pray amen amen [Music] is [Music] given is the spirit of fear
