Senior Drill Instructor Course

my name is gunner sergeant matthew dyke and i am an instructor at drone shutter school i currently teach the advanced curriculum which is the course challengers the chief drone shutter course and the senior drone center course drill instructors they deem worthy enough to be a senior drone so there's someone that they've seen leadership potential they come to my course and what they do is they start to learn the bigger picture aspect of being a drill instructor because not only now are they in charge of recruits now they're also going to be for the first time really in charge of uh junior marines and junior drill instructors senior drone shutter course has recently changed i've added some new new material in it there's more articles so that so the senior drone shutters understand new generations of marines and recruits coming into the marine corps so i added articles from that also we added more drill for the senior drone servers because a lot of times senior drill instructors even though they are the masters of drill they don't get a whole lot of time with drill itself because of all the administrative aspects that they do with recruits and the drill instructors my name is staff sergeant sean murphy i was a student at senior journal service course after completing the course the the position and responsibilities of senior journalists are are immense they uh they're they're the key to to making the team function they're they they set the tone for for the platoon for the team and collectively the however many there are of them in the company they set the tone for the company they taught us the importance of the guide on and how it is important to pick that that leader in the platoon and if they know that we're confident we're doing it then when we're picking our guide it's the same stuff that we'll reflect in our platoon because our guide should be a direct reflection of us and the part that we carry i do think this course is important because like i said they re-hit everything they taught you how to be a confident leader they taught you how to do your guide on stuff like without that stuff like you can't really have a good functioning platoon if the senior drone instructors doesn't know what he or she is doing your hats aren't going to know what they're doing and the recruits are going to show that as well
