hello and welcome back to views on the road I'm your host Steph and today I'm going to show you the secrets to a creamy and delicious macaroni salad and if I'm going to recommend a macaroni for you to use it's going to be decheco two shredded carrots two stalks of celery one red bell pepper one green bell pepper two green onions two cups of mayonnaise 1 4 cup of vinegar half a cup of heavy whipping cream one teaspoon of black pepper half a tablespoon of salt half a teaspoon of smoked paprika 1 4 of a teaspoon of celery seed one and a half tablespoons of sugar and one tablespoon of your mustard of choice add your mayonnaise to your bowl and you're going to need anywhere from two to three cups I know that when you're making this salad you'll tend to run out and you're like oh no so anywhere from two to three cups of mayonnaise will do for this recipe heavy whipping cream your mustard and we're using grainy mustard because my sister is obsessed with it so you can use whatever mustard you have on hand celery seeds black pepper salt milk paprika sugar and whisk all your ingredients together I will say if you decide to add your heavy whipping cream that's just to enhance the creaminess of this salad but also if you're going to be using it you want to keep this in a very cold area don't place your macaroni salad in the heat keep it nice and cool or an ice chest and once you're done combining your ingredients you want to place this right in the refrigerator so it can get nice and cold when it hits our macaroni pasta before you add your macaroni you want to make sure that you salt your water properly I'm going to add half a tablespoon of salt you don't salt your pasta you're not going to shine today the only time we're asking you to be salty yep when you're salting your pasta once your pot has reached a boil you're going to add your macaroni honey [Music] here my macaroni but that's Tenderoni you're the sweetest girl in the whole wide world oh my goodness thank you and if you find a tender for you make it official by placing your lid over your pot I like to crack mine a little bit because I always have spillage so we're going to continue to cook as suggested on our box our macaroni is ready we're going to strain and make sure you do not rinse your pasta I repeat do not rinse your pasta just strain it these macaroni facials they wanted me to draw my skincare routine before your eyes where I just mix as you said and now you want to fully coat your macaroni with your delicious dressing and my sister's really cool that even though it's a little you know not so cold she's going to want to taste quality control is important yeah it sure is I like that if you like now go ahead and start adding your confetti add your carrots celery red bell pepper green bell pepper green onions and combine all your ingredients and this pasta here is just your starter recipe to a classic macaroni pasta what I'm going to say to you is really important it's important to start making the basics exactly how it's made so that later you can make it comfortable for your home or give it your own personal touch I have a few macaroni salad recipes here on the channel which I'll
