Scrap Prices are Going UP UP UP

good morning hang on I'm texting with record he said I think we're gonna find all kinds of stuff today that's right he said he'll be ready in ten sorry fifteen to twenty minutes all right we better get going but first let's show a little bit of what we did yesterday the wire that we got and out of that dumpster a couple videos back well we were you know just kind of left that in a big pile at my house while we finished moving so we turned that in yesterday and yes I'm show the clips of us you know ripping all that stuff apart and then I didn't record going into the scrap yard but I didn't record going to the storage unit with my son and talking about the prices and I'm digging the price increases yes [Music] [Music] okay before I talk about the prices that we just got for our scrap because we scrapped out the wire and the aluminum and undo it so but before I do that but I was chatting with with the scrap kingdom and he's like man you know your storage unit you know it couldn't be as bad as mine and I'm like dude my attention deficit definitely takes over so my goal is soon to have the stuff either to the thrift store to recycled that's up one scrap yard will take once it was like break down the computers was just like yeah I know no let's not do that back up I don't want you breaking stuff if done I guess so but yeah let's talk about some prices here so um my scrap yard just went up with a shred steel to $120 per ton so that's up $20 a ton and let's look at the info prices sorry like I go so I don't if you guys can can see this so the very top one is the cast iron was a dollar 55 I'm sorry yeah $155 a ton so basically 15 cents a pound then extruded aluminum that was fine 45 cents that's fine but look at this one Lord says I see W which is insulated copper wire number two that's 45 cents but we had the solid core wire that came out of the conduits is number one 80% I didn't know that those several different percentages of number one but if you look at that it is a dollar fifty a pound we have 37 bucks just in that wire and then we had some romex which was 60% they say is copper and it was a dollar 20 per pound and we had extreme lumina 45 cents and a loon painted aluminum siding for 35 cents so we actually did over 70 dollars with the Shred and with the non ferrous so I'm pretty happy about that over here messing around with a storage unit but we need to get back and work on that house so so good morning it's Tuesday morning now so I just posted on to my Instagram you know that I'm really excited that my last video you got 2500 views in one day and I just it's gonna blow see away cuz yeah who to think this 50 year old scrapping channel and I'm not really that good at scrapping is kini and popularity yeah it's just I just thank God for it cuz it's it doesn't make any sense and as you guys most everyone knows I just kind of tripped across scrapping and tripped across YouTube so it's some cool stuff yeah I'm gonna go pick up Rick and the cool the funny thing about the Instagram thing is that that Instagram was I just made that up I don't know a couple years ago but it was it was my name and it was just kind of like an extension of Facebook but lately being busy and doing life I just kind of been ignoring Facebook and I'm gonna get rid of that Facebook scrapping palette man it just it requires too much attention and and things like that so I'm gonna get rid of that scrapping pile of Facebook but I changed the name of my Instagram from my name to scrap pallet BAM and put the scrap pallet man's symbol up there so a lot of my facebook friends and my Las Vegas friends who I grew up with and and other church people there they were following Paul and so now it's scrap pallet man and they're like I don't remember following him I think it's funny so yeah anyway go pick it up Rick so one thing that we didn't yes we brought this to the scrapyard but there's some steel on it and stuff we're gonna take a sawzall cut that just Rick has all that stuff so we didn't sell that to the scrapyard and look at this huge brass I don't know what it is but that thing is just you know 15 pounds [Music] it's still I think it's we still need to work on and get that shaft out and get that part but that's brass as well we take a file to it so guys recognize this place it's not my place anymore Rick lives my old place it was so cool we uh when I was you know moving out you know Rick's like man this be a perfect place for me like yeah man you're single dude yeah I'll just leave you in that studio apartment it's it's a good place it looks nice you know rents totally affordable super cool landlord and the Landlord owns this whole building and he got it from his grandfather and my landlord is like 70 or 80 probably and he got it from his grandfather and the building was built in the 1870s know he was talking about he he did some construction and stuff in the 70s my old landlord he said he put up this put a big beam through here and had a reput in this this pillar to hold up the corner he did a bunch of structural things I thought that there was cinderblock behind this stuff and he's like no there was no cinderblock back then I didn't know he said it's three layers of red brick so this layer a leather layer in the center and then a third layer all the way up I was like wow that's nuts and he said when he rebooted in the I guess they're kind of hard to find is that that arch to them he said where's reput in those windows you could see the three layers of bricks so what is that brought up what do you got in your hand there well besides the coffee does that saw all four it according through you know everything that they claimed all right so we're gonna use the sawzall on that radiator all right man you got your winter gear on we got my boots on you see I don't have to wear boots when I'm doing the the trash picking because I have my warm little vehicle I keep running into but hanging out with Rick that means we're we hitting some dumpsters see I might content with my $15 a day you know garbage picking for an hour but yeah Rick does the $150 a day dumpsters there you go that's alright our last stop we got some other romex feels like food stuffs like that a little know why we've got our 25 cents of steel I like it just BBC in Blue Man Group ever [Music] picture frames hey they're actually recycling their stuff good on ya yeah I did like that um you know what this might be saleable at the thrift store yeah all right smells good too ed potpourri or something at ah it's rare that'll actually take trash it I'll smell it that's cool little part of a horse sheep that's just cool dude you're going with me oh yeah the this is how I become a hoarder you want that warning just dump this rice in the trash and you can have that pick an indoor tote yeah I can tell it's been inside its entire life free bedbugs I'm lucky enough to have never been in a house lived in a house that had bedbug issues well what is this what is this I see nothing kitchen trash kitchen alright it looked better than it was these were totally fit Jesse yeah you know what yeah I don't know his exact size but you know what that's about I'll grab one are the girls you see do they button up right okay I think they're guys I can't tell now though with the with the skinny jeans I can't tell what's female and what's male and Jesse is longer than anything else so well Jesse's clothes now that he's been scrapping with me and just you know going nuts he actually has work issues with his clothes all right so I'll grab these guys i'ma grab this shirt some jammie pants there's more shorts just getting hooked up all right this is it all right hopefully someone comes by and yeah yeah I'm done perfect spot for your bin oh there's wire into that all right we got a little box going here find me some scissors I'll take that alone over now still you're off something your hand deadly not as cold as it was so I got a little mat for my office chair so I got Jesse some clothes I think that was in the last clip I have a feeling my soul's scrapp spidey sense is telling me something in there what nope treasure romex all right get that tubing off we're good [Applause] you know I can use this at my house yeah yeah I took down all those curtains doing a little scrappage my finger oh and yeah I don't have the real gloves on I see a horse and carriage broken though crack yeah yeah they are mine are - anything else you wanna throw in here yeah take a run at it insect disease might know I know that's for that's for that screens stuff ha it's a Jessi whacker listen here blah alright man I don't know I think we find enough screens that I can find one that fully replaces it we'll put keep life in your bucket here all right we're gonna do a little sub style he's gonna go that way and I'm gonna just follow him froze up here zip up here so it's right around 30 so it looks probably colder than it is but it's damp you guys can see the freezing fog out here so ice more office mats huh are they smaller than what I have huh I'll look at it when I come back this picture guys you know that Rick saying something actually stopped me from completely breaking my elbow or something Wow but Rick and I were talking about the cold and then the moisture in the air is pulling body heat away good morning good just looking for scrap metal all right have a good day stay warm yeah I think that I'm actually colder right now then that video of us dumpster diving in five degrees below zero because that dae-ho super low humidity like 25-30 percent humidity and right now it's close to a hundred percent ready well I think it is you can see them I'm moisture in the air I did not bring the right clothes with me because I was just thinking Oh 30 degrees out I won't need my huge gloves ice ice ice baby would you like a cheese sandwich Norman Wow look at that that's gorgeous I can't tell oh okay yeah it's a was like a server router there yeah all right we'll have to figure out they don't go man yeah that's almost keep life yes look at these a little note okay yeah let's just take it to and see if they accept it okay yeah dude yeah you do these little mini rolls for rolling do you want those for painting in the future I like this I want it for my house I like things that are green that's green enough for me it's not easy being green yeah well you can always fix it and these will be resale right now all right actually I'm gonna drive my truck back over here I'll be back I don't I think we're still gonna have to go back to my house and and just separate stuff so the thing just carefully put it in don't sit all these thumbs on that one alright now has been put this up can I put this up front how about this do you still want that thing that's behind that your seat over there alright let's go and pull that batter put that in the Shred back and then I'll put this behind the seat and it's shredder well it's metal right yeah good luck picking that up I think those others will fit here to large industrial construction site so Rex all about making the contacts I'm like you know if that's your giftedness and that's what you like to do man more power to it it's not my thing you know I sold a real estate from 1999 to 2002 ish 1999's so you have four years and I really wanted to be a good salesperson and and that is not my thing and I'd learned it the hard way so in today you know at 50 years old I am NOT gonna spend time working on my weaknesses I am gonna spend time honing my gifts and I would I have recommended that to my son I said find things that are your gifts and I even told us that there's a couple hundred gifts that you have that you haven't even discovered that find though find your giftedness and yeah spend time in that and not just work on your you know things that you're not good at so all right so I'm looking at my Instagram yeah so I yeah I'm definitely going away from Facebook into Instagram I know that Instagram is owned by Facebook but yeah I'm think about just not doing Facebook anymore just just to get rid of them stay away from the negativity they people post more stuff that's inspired on Instagram so so fearless Rick [Music] huh yeah so he talked to the guy over there say gentlemen all the way up and latch it so we don't look like a bunch of Yahoo's [Music] you know what what if I should back my truck up yeah I'm gonna do that back it up why yes yes we will it's still right right now I might need to center over here for right now we'll
